ABBA The Concert on Tour
Considered "the Best ABBA since ABBA," ABBA The Concert by THE VISITORS hit the road for A TRIBUTE TO ABBA tour, playing 29 shows across the United States. Dubbed "The Ultimate Tribute Celebration" to one of the greatest pop performance groups, you'll hear all the ABBA classics including "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," "S.O.S." and more. Though the touring show doesn't have a formal affiliation with the original ABBA group or Mamma Mia! film, audience members fawn over ABBA The Concert for displaying their range, energy and fashionable costume changes, all while sounding just like the real thing. With a robust and rhythmic percussion group, stellar and diverse vocals, the 12-piece band promises to deliver a great performance. The group has toured in more than 25 countries for nearly 30 years including Europe, Asia and the United States. Tickets are selling fast to see ABBA The Concert, so get yours today.
ABBA The Concert Live
In 1996, Martin Håkansson and Christian Fast created the ABBA tribute band called Waterloo in Stockholm, Sweden. Audiences and local journalists immediately came to an agreement: "This is the closest to ABBA you will ever get." Over the course of the next 10 years, Waterloo continued to add full-time members like Tom Bieme, Marcus Olsson, Jonas Lidholm, Charlotte Berg, Matilda Lindell, and more. By 2013 they agreed to go by a new name -- THE VISITORS -- and they hit the road to tour just a few months later. The group has made waves across audiences, doing conference performances for Fortune 500 companies, playing a part in a multi-group performance called The Tribute Show -- which pays homage to pop and rock greats like Elvis Presley, Queen and The Beatles -- and even performing for The Queen of Sweden. Fast forward to today and ABBA The Concert, in association with 21st Century Artist Inc., is a national success, recreating the magic of Mamma Mia! on a nightly basis across the United States.
The group was outstanding. Loved the performance. Would love to see them again. I just love ABBA's music.
I was very impressed with how they reproduced ABBA's music. If I had closed my eyes, I would have thought it WAS ABBA. Everybody was singing along with all the songs, and the entire concert was entertaining.
FABULOUS CONCERT. ALMOST AS GOOD AS ORIGINALS. GREAT PERFORMANCE. LOVED THE NEW AMPHITEATER
When I bought these tickets the ads said ABBA. I disappointed that this was not the original group. Then ads played on TV talked about original members I only heard them mention 2 original members during the show. While the group was good and I enjoy the concert I would not have paid the amount I did for a tribute band
Absolutely fantastic concert. They rocked Greensboro! Our 7 and 10 year old grandchildren just loved the concert, never sat down, danced the whole time.
My wife used to dance around the room with our baby daughter to all the ABBA songs, and the concert brought us back to that time over 30 years ago. The vocal artists and band were as good as the originals ever were, and it was nice to relive the memory of all those great songs, those great times. ABBA found a "sound" like no other performing artists of the time, not unlike during WWII when Glenn Miller found the "sound" that encapsulated the music tastes of people of the 30s and 40s. ABBA will be as immortalized as Glenn Miller has been.
This show was incredible. Performers were spot on with the music and even had the ABBA moves when they were singing. AWESOME!! Please bring them back next year!!
One of the best live concert shows I have been to.
What a fun night. The White Oak Amp in Greensboro was lovely and the Tribute Band concert for ABBA was superior! I only wish they had kept Dancing Queen as their last encore song instead of Thank You for the Music....kind of a low note.
Excellent concert - portrayed ABBA very well -actually better than the original group. It was like I was transported back in time - The band looked and sounded like it was ABBA. only problem was that the sound system was too loud and distorted the vocals.
Although there are only two original band members that only play in on a few tunes they band is great! Great energy and performance. The Sax played by one of the original members is a great addition to a great show. Only heard ABBA on the radio growing up and went as a favor to a friend, would do it again. Drinks at the show are way overpriced, the Wilbur.
Brought my neighbor with me to see ABBA. We were not disappointed! It was terrific. I have enjoyed ABBA's music for more years than I care to specify so hearing all those familiar songs was a real treat for me. I have also seen 'Mamma Mia' and I could recall where each of the songs fit into the story line. The singers and the band did a bang up job with this show.
Outstanding performers...music was classic Abba...great to see a live performance. More than just a tribute!...These guys were as good as the original group and glad to see that a plethora od knock off's have not proliferated.... The show was an exciting experience! Singers were great....I especially appreciated the lead keyboard player since I have this music and appreciate how difficult this stuff is really to play...his fingers were flying across the keyboard....the "original" memebers of the band were extremely talented and really into it, not just going through the motions. One of the best performances I've seen!
Loved every moment of this show. They sounded EXACTLY like the original! While I bought these tickets for my husband's birthday (he's a big fan), I found myself singing and dancing along to the songs. I didn't even realize just how many songs I knew! All in all, the word is FUN. It was simply a fun couple of hours that left us smiling and singing!
It was great !!! They are the best. We realy enjoy it>
Great band - voices and instrumentation right on - loved the sax and bass stars from ABBA's past. Also played some of the ABBA hits you won't see in Mamma Mia. How could you leave in anything but a good mood? Wish there was an intermission though because I didn't want to miss anything when it was time to take a boys room break.
Great show. It moved right along Played all the great songs Everyone was into it
Outstanding perfermance, 60 plus croud exhasted themselves clapping and on their feet. Saw ABBA gold 3-4 years ago. Both groups were outstanding but this group was a little better. Man on sax and tamborine was excellent. backup was good but didn't sound like orginal abba group as much. Five star performance
Lack of energy and hard to watch. At times the music sounded good but they needed to do more, much more with it. They could have rocked the house but instead they were content to just go thru the motions. Their attempt to don outfits from the period was ridiculous: They put on tight spandex and satin outfits that would look smoking on hot bodies but it just made them look old and saggy. No lie, it was bad on the eyes. Whoever produced this sure didn't take a look at what we were watching and listening to and yet charged a good fee for a disappointing product.
Loved the songs! Wish more people were dancing but oh well!! I was upset they didn't sing honey honey
