About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

  • Dixie's were great..service at venue ridiculously

    by BigD2100 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

Great concert and venue however the lines for anything moved at the slowest pace I have ever seen. The people working were in no hurry whatsoever to take care of their guests. As far as seating and the show, it was awesome!

I attended the DCX World Tour MMXVI with the hopes of celebrating the music, not being subjected to a political agenda. If they would have left the political garbage out of the show, I would have enjoyed it more than I did. Additionally, it seemed like the Chicks did not have any synergy--almost like they would have rather have been anywhere else but on stage together. That was also off-putting.

  • Dixie Chicks were AMAZING

    by SparkleGirl22 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

The fact that the Dixie Chicks have not released new music in over 10 years and can still fill venues speaks to their talent. They are absolutley incredible! If you get the chance to see them, GO!!!!

  • Dixie Chicks were on fire!

    by Jen1992 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

This was a bucket list show for me and it was everything I hoped for - most of my favorite song - rocking and intimate moments. I danced, I cried.... SO worth every penny! The venue really needs to work on its beverage service though - we missed the entire opening act standing in line for beer :(

  • Dixie Chicks were the best!

by RabbittRachel on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

This was truly one of the best concerts we have attended. The sound, vocals, instruments, and visuals were amazing. I wish I could go back to it all over again.

  • Welcome back Chicks!

by Thegreatjer on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

The ladies were in top form. A great band and very impressive staging. Loved the all white instruments. The videos were fun and well conceived. Great sound. Mediocre venue and terrible access.

  • Dixie Chick Love

by JTab on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

I have listened to the Dixie Chicks from their beginning and have been to every concert, so it's safe to say I'm a huge fan! This was a great show, however, if they left out politics it would have been amazing! I go to concerts to be entertained and have fun, not to be reminded of political drama.

  • Dixie Chicks with Anderson East

by TJbrew on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert these ladies are so gifted musically I could listen to them live over and over again. A fun evening even though there were a few showers it was a fun night!

  • Dixie Chicks Dreams were Crushed

by Anonymous on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 2 out of 5

I had been waiting to see the Dixie Chicks for oh... my whole life since they have basically been non-existent for the past 10 years so needless to say I was excited for this show. Well the opener was Anderson East, who I have never heard of and was terrible and the Dixie Chicks weren't on until 9pm for a concert that started at 7pm. They played way too many slow songs and Prince cover songs and cover songs of other artists. For a country group that had almost all of its hits in the early 2000's you would think that they would play those songs to get the crowd going, but that was not what happened. I am sad that I spent $100+ on two tickets to this just to sit and wait in the rain for them to come on and then be under impressed.

  • Dixie Chicks Have Still Got It!

by Beccilicious on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

I've loved the Chicks since Earl, like most people! I don't even like Country music, but there was just something about them! I am so thankful that they are out touring again, and I hope that they will continue to make music! They are so cute, and they sound just as amazing as they always did - and I love the girl power that they present when they are up on that stage! They're amazing!

I was not happy with the Dixie Chicks event I felt that there was a lot of wait time between opening act and the concert. They were very poor entertainers and I felt like they didnt even want to be there.

  • Dixie Chicks were AWESOME!

by Anonymous on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a great concert. The Dixie Chicks were awesome. They played for 2 hours straight. I would love to go see them again this tour.

  • Dixie Chicks rocked it!!!!

by treidhayes on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

I haven't seen a show this good in so long! The set list was great & I was so glad to go to a show where I feel like I really got my money's worth out of it. The energy was great & they sounded amazing!

  • Not what we expected

    by Calfman1 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 3 out of 5

Bought tickets in November when tickets went on sale. So excited. The venue was great the music disappointing. So loud. The Chicks lost their feel with the accompanying band. When they play with the unplugged version it is pure Dixie Heaven. We want to hear the Chicks not the loud band. We had ringing ears for 8 hours after. The stage was fantastic. The video and lights exceptional. Natalie was brave singing Prince's "since you took your love from me". It was OK. I love she tried. Saw Chicks in L.A. with Eagles and they were a 10.

  • Dixie Chicks put on a phenomenal show!

    by Hoss8675309 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time seeing the Dixie Chicks, and they were great! They were full of energy, and looked like they really enjoyed themselves.

  • I'm too Old for WRA! NOt worth $180/seat

by Foxpaw on 7/11/16White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 3 out of 5

2 1/2 hrs to travel to the Amphitheater was expected....thank goodness we paid for Star Parking...Efficient and close to the venue EAsy to being in snacks MUsic...too loud and mix was off. TOo much on percussion, not enough guitar. VOcals were amazing but Natalie's voice overwhelms. light show...very interesting but terrifically distracting. NOt a good venue for music snobs! I prefer listening to them on my home equipment!!!

  • Dixie Chics are the BOMB.

by Lovemychics on 7/11/16Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding concert. Jaw dropping raw talent. These 3 ladies literally brought the house down. Never have I been to a concert where everyone was on their feet for the entire concert. It was just too electric to sit down. Seriously amazing concert. I have been to many high caliber concerts in my time & this was definitely tops. Even though it was a large venue, you felt like you were have a good visit with your 3 best friends. Memorable way to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. Thank you Dixie Chics!

  • Great show!

by JJHenry on 7/11/16White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

The Dixie Chicks were fantastic. The set list included songs from all of their past albums. They sounded great; the harmonies were outstanding. Excellent side musicians. The only negative for the evening was the horrible parking situation at the venue. It took us over an hour to exit the parking lot.

  • bucket list checked!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!! Every song I wanted to hear, some I forgot I wanted to hear, all the energy! I thought we'd never see them in concert after 2006, sooooo glad I got to mark this one off the bucket list! wonderful concert!
