The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

The opening act was amazingly talented. Interesting choice wish I would have been in a small venue for his performance. The Chicks were entertaining for the first hour then I was surrounded by a personal politically driven performance! I spent good money to be entertained not preached to or lectured through song. Disappointing to say the least … it is a free country and freedom of speech is part of that so I understand that they use their platform for that. I was just hoping to escape the hatred and negativity for an evening of MUSIC!
Great show! Ben Harper opening was great, full of emotion. The Chicks came out and rocked the house! Video visuals, the band and The Chicks beautiful and powerful voices and instruments. Loved this indoor show!
The Chicks sounded great but Natalie seemed angry to be there. Like she couldn’t wait for it to be over. Kind of took the fun out of it for my family. But overall they did sound amazing
The Chicks are back!!! I loved everything about this show! Loved the music, loved their attitude, loved their resilience!! Ben Harper was a great opening act, also. Can’t say enough good things about the evening!!!!
The chicks were delightful. I love their political statements; it helps that I totally agree with them! They’re full of energy and super talented. They really are a woman in powering band.
What a way to spend our Anniversary!! My wife was very happy!!! Loved the concert.
Due to sudden medical issues, my wife and I were unable to attend. We were really looking forward to attending. We were further disappointed that we were unable to sell our tickets. It is sad that nobody wanted to attend this event.
This concert was one of the best I’ve ever attended. Great songs, beautiful harmonies, absolutely fantastic musical abilities by Natalie, Emily, and Martie. My wife & I drove 9 hours to see this concert. Definitely worth the drive. Also, for the people complaining about the political stuff in their concerts, know who you’re going to see. I LOVED the political aspect of their show. You aren’t going to tell these strong, smart women to just “shut up and sing.” They’re going to mix politics in with their amazing songs. If you don’t like that, don’t buy tickets to see them.
I was very disappointed at the blatant propaganda during this show . I guess I should have done more research before buying tickets . I was looking forward to singing along to my Chicks favorites and hearing the beautiful sounds of the sisters playing their instruments. However, very few songs I knew , disturbing images on the screens, and way too much politics for this girl . I have to admit that I was bored to death and very irritated by the end of the show . The Chicks have lost another 3 fans .
Best concert I’ve ever been too. Extremely moving and displayed incredible talent!
They are as talented as ever. But these are not the Chicks of their first years.Granted, they're 20 + years older, but they're "performing"to get their messages across. As they have every right. But I wanted to enjoy the music from their first years and have fun. Not watch the world news and it's injustices and politics AND relive the divorce of Natalie Maines.
The music and show were very great, but the acoustics at Denny were pretty poor up in the second tier. Very muddy sound and frustrating to not be able to see the images or lyrics either. :(
Couldn’t understand the words being sung, mish-mash of songs, left early
The opening act Ben Harper wasn't bad. Great musician funny guy. Not a great singer. The Chicks still look like there in there 30s. The crowed got excited for there older hits. They didn't talk much to the crowd.
Thank you Chicks! You’ve been speaking truth to power for 20 years and bringing the fire! This concert was amazing and emotional for me as it was my first time seeing you live!
The concert was great!! So happy to take my daughter to a music group I grew up listening to at her age. She loved it too!
Stick to your 90's hits, that's what we're paying to listen to. I wanted to leave halfway through. The political songs have no room in a concert.
Too Loud. Backup band overpowered the Chicks which is whom I wanted to hear.
These three talented, strong, and beautiful woman epitomize the ideals that make America Great! I really hoped The Chicks were, "Not Ready to Make Nice,"and stuck by their belief's, they didn't disappoint! Especially performing in a deep red state like South Dakota. Natalie was in perfect voice and Martie and Emily played about every string musical instrument there is. I've always loved their music, I now love it more. Anyone and everyone, who believes in what America could be, please go see and support The Chicks! Girl Power!!
