About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

  • Disappointed

by JD on 9/3/23Rating: 2 out of 5

They sounded fine. The body language and lack of interaction with the crowd made it clear they didn’t want to be there. The little slam they did against Trump was stupid. I for one do not recommend and will never consider going to another Dixie Chicks concert.

  • Okay

by Tammy on 9/2/23Rating: 3 out of 5

It didn’t feel like the band was having fun. Not as energetic as I would have liked.

  • Not worth the money or time.

by NJ on 9/2/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I wanted to be entertained not attend a political rally.

  • Poor sound and too many new songs

by Omaha Section 214 on 9/2/23Rating: 2 out of 5

The sound was not very good. The opener wasn't even a similar genre. They played way too many new songs, including 5 or so political songs. There was about 30 mins between the opener and the Chicks. During the 30 mins, they played 80's rock music videos - maybe they were having technical difficulties. However, we were thinking about leaving. The graphics they used were disjointed and almost disturbing - definitely didn't add to the show. The only thing that saved the show was the hand full of classic songs they sang and Earl at the end.

  • It was okay

    by Pjmack92 on 9/2/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Never been to a weekday concert. Some people are bigger and the arm rest should go up like in an airplane.

  • No longer a fan

    by 1234 on 9/2/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Any entertainer who feels the need to express their political views on EITHER SIDE loses my support. People attend concerts or any venue to escape reality. I was very disappointed.

  • Just stick with the old stuff

by Yoga pants Penny on 9/2/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Their new music is angry. Not my style. And the show was too politically charged.

  • Great musicians

by Dixie Chicks Fan on 9/2/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I believe in the stance the Chicks take on social issues. I did feel the concert was disjointed and didn’t have a great flow to it. Despite this, they are all great musicians and I enjoyed the show. Just not as much as I thought I would.

  • The Chicks inspire!

by TammyMiami on 9/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks continue to be a powerful music force and voice. Glad they are still touring and recording. They are an inspiration to girls and women everywhere!

  • Late

by Crash on 9/2/23Rating: 4 out of 5

late start and to much time between songs. Other than that it was good.

  • The Chicks are Amazing!

by Sherrie in Omaha on 9/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful show! Their music is honest and fun, and speaks to women. Go have a good time, and get motivated to fight for your rights!!

  • LOVED it!!

    by Amandy H. on 9/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

My BFF & I were able to snag 5th row for the Chicks! We had a BLAST! Loved that they mixed in the old with the new. I’m a long time fan who has a heart attached to their first few albums and this show was just what these ol’ girls needed!! The chicks & band sounded great and we loved rocking out with y’all! Pure joy & even a few tears were shed during a great night out with my girl seeing our faves!

  • Great show - political, fun, and great music

by TRP on 9/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Loved everything about the show! Music was great! Chicks were as political as I expected and showed my kid how to use your platform to speak on important issues. It was really fun.

  • freaking fantastic

by Jesse on 9/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Truly AMAZED!! And to be able to see them perform with my teenage daughter was the cherry on top. She said they they sounded just like they did on our old Cd’s. And THEY DID!!! Great Job Ladies! #EARLISINTHETRUCK

  • She's still got it

by Joseph Black on 9/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

When an old band starts to tour again you know it's either going to be classic songs or try too hard, but miss the mark. Thats definitely not the case here, the 'Dixie' Chicks blended the nostalgia of their classic music with a relevant and creative style of their new that while it feels out of place for modern Country Music, it's completely something theirs and the quality is where you expect it to be. As someone who grew up in the 90's it feels good to know my county music still lives and is experiencing a renaissance as the artist return to creating masterpieces both new and yet familiar.

  • Outstanding Performance

by mfirecarb on 9/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the Chicks music when I was younger, but I really didn't listen to country music back then. Took my wife to the most-recent concert in KC for her Mother's Day gift, and I was blown away by The Chicks stage performance. Their voices haven't changed at all, and their musicianship has only gotten better. The variety of instruments that each of them play is so impressive. And they are soooo much fun! They obviously enjoy performing. And they are fearless! To put on a show such as theirs in the world that we now live in? Fearless. Unapologetic. I love it. Keep doing what you are doing Chicks.

  • Good

by Cyndie on 9/1/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I feel like the entire crowd didn’t know what was going on with the new music that they were introducing. I feel like the audience came to hear the old chicks and it reflected when they played music that we all knew. They are awesome regardless and still have a great following all these years later. Just shell shock with the new music is all!

  • Awesome as Always!

by StanManChan on 9/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks brought a great feeling and performance to the T-Mobile Center. From their pre-concert music to the final song, love and the power of women were well communicated. Great time!

  • Terrible

by Lauren on 9/1/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Their stage was awful. You couldn’t see anything the way they set it up. The seats are too small at the top
