About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

Been a long 10 years waiting for the return of the Chicks but oh what a comeback! I got chills and was as thrilled as I was the first time I saw them! What an awesome show!

  • the Chicks are absolutely phenomenal!!!!!

by FANSINCEYOUTH on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

They sounded great! Every single song was wonderful. Seeing them in person was electric and they put on such a great show.

  • Poor song choices

    by RAINEY7777777 on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 1 out of 5

We were so excited for the Dixie Chicks concert. But we were very disappointed with the poor song choices. They should have played more older songs that everyone knows. And they should have played longer.

  • One of the best concerts EVER!

by RickNLeigh on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I saw Dixie Chicks on the opening night of the Top of the Wold Tour more than a decade ago and they were fantastic. We purchased tickets to the opening night of the DCX MMXVI Tour and were completely blown away. The Dixie Chicks are better now than ever before. Musically, they were amazing and the show was non-stop entertainment. The lighting and visuals are super and we had one of the best concert experiences we've ever had. We may buy tickets to one of their later shows on this tour because we want more!!

  • Dixie Chicks rocked the house country style!

Probably one of the best shows I've ever been to. These girls put on one amazing show from beginning to end! Awesome doesn't even cover it!!

Liberal hacks. They need to go away for another 10 years. And they played like 7 covers

  • DCX - great concert!

    by 4ssoccermom on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

What a concert!....DCX seemed to enjoy the crowd's energy. Came out singing and didn't stop for over 2 hours.

  • Ehhh

by Mvhhh on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

Was so excited for this concert!! Turns out a majority of the songs were not very well known and we couldn't even sing along. Also they did a lot of cover songs...I didn't come to hear other people's music, I came to hear their music. Was a little disappointed.

  • The Chicks were AWESOME!

by Khvanzant on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Awesome venue! Even though it rained we had a great time. Took uber to the venue and rode with friends home. Packed snacks and bought drinks. No matter how old you are, you will be carded if you buy alcohol. Might want to think about wrist bands so lines move faster. Other than that.. Venue clean, concert great, friends awesome!

Nothing compared to concerts in the past. They sounded good but the concert overall was just blah.

  • BEST CONCERT EVER.

by LongtimeDCXFan on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Really! I am a concert junkie, and I've seen the Chicks 6 times now over the past 16 or so years. They are my absolute favorite band, and it was SO good to see them on opening night of their first U.S tour in 10 years. It was THE best show I've ever attended. If you are a casual fan of primarily their older albums, you *may* be disappointed with the setlist; but if you are a loyal fan who knows all their albums and songs, you will not be able to speak the next day for singing every word. :) Welcome back, ladies! Keep doing YOUR thing! I will see you again in Nashville!

  • Better than Christmas

by DCXsteer on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The DCX concert was magnificent, wonderful, a 10, a must see, just about the best evening I've had since the last time we attended their concert. If you miss them, you will be sorry. Toby Keith knows nothing about how great these ladies were, are, and to be.

  • Dixie Chick's were amazing!

by Junebut on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I've waited ten years for them to come back. They did not disappoint!

  • Chicks Rule

    by Drummer765 on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

From the first song to the last, the Chicks kicked ASS! Great to have them back on American soil doing what they did better than any other female (and most male) country performers out there. Country radio take note - 17,000 plus at a sold out show with no local radio airplay... Seems the public WANTS to hear the Dixie Chicks. Time to end the ban and let one of the most talented group of performers upgrade your playlist. No "tractorpickupgoodstuff" bro country here - just great, solid heartfelt music that touches the heart and soul. Don't miss this tour!

Terrible! Didn't even sing any of their own songs!

  • by Anonymous on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I have always wanted to see the Dixie Chicks live. They were amazing!

  • Dixie Chicks were INCREDIBLE!!!

    by Val9 on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Show was outstanding, musically and visually! They sounded perfect!

  • Flawed sound marred an otherwise great concert

by DaSwede on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was enjoyable and the Dixie Chicks certainly performed with passion. The sound mix however was poor, especially at the top of the show. The vocal blends were over mastered by the bass and the drums in particular. Several instances of feedback. The band is so good they don't need to be blasted like a rock cover band. Balance got better as th concert went on.

  • by Anonymous on 6/4/16Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

They did not play many songs that I knew. Was hoping for a lot of their songs from the Fly album. Was disappointed in their music selection.
