The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

Wonderful show. The girls rocked the place. So happy they are back!
I work at 2 venues and see and also attend concerts on a weekly basis. I've never cried at a concert.... but I cried the entire time. Truly incredible. Going back in August.
Their old to new song ratio was terrible! At the most they played 7-8 old songs! The crowd was booing - and they obviously didn't realize we weren't there for the new album!
20k people on their feet and singing every lyric to every song for the entire show. I hadn't felt that much energy at an event in a very long time. These women have not missed a beat since their last tour. Simply amazing.
What an absolutely amazing concert!! I've been wanting to see the Dixie Chicks live for so long and their 2013 Canadian tour certainly did not disappoint. I don't think I've ever been so excited for a band to come out on stage. They had great energy, made the crowd laugh and preformed hit after hit. Next time they're back in Ontario, I'll be there!
Amazing show. Rocked it. Could have sung There's your Trouble though!
Great crowd, great performance, great venue! Played a great variety of songs. Played 2 hours straight!
the Dixie chicks have always been amazing and they still are, it is such a shame they rarely play together anymore. The concert was fantastic-they played all their favorites in chronological order, which was totally cool. They are so talented, their music is incredible, the crowd sang to every song. They need to come to the US to play, i am sure they would sell out. I would see them over and over, they are truly great musicians and very missed on the concert scene.
Absolutely amazing show! Mire then I could have imagined...they never missed a beat and played and sang as hard as they could!
Such a wonderfully entertaining and fun show. I stood and sang the entire night. People around me were up and dancing too. Some older folks never moved much, but that didn't stop 80% of the crowd from having a great time. The music sounded perfect. Natalie, Martie and Emily looked to be having a BLAST and danced around while playing their instruments flawlessly. MUST SEE BAND
Welcome back to the world in which you could speak your mind without fear of reprisal. It is the saddest thing in the world that the Chicks have to perform in Canada because the United States was not open-minded enough to accept Natalie Maines' criticism of the Iraqi war. Beginning with their earliest hits, the Chicks took me back to a quieter, less fearful time then worked gradually forward through the years to the moment of crisis and beyond. They are still amazing musicians and the crowd was with them every second -- cheering, clapping and singing along. I think we were all in tears by the time Natalie belted out "Not Ready to Make Nice." I know the two girls next to me shouted at each other in great excitement, "This is it, this is it!" Seeing the Dixie Chicks perform together again made me believe a little bit in happy endings -- although I hope this is a new beginning for them!
As good life as on CD, Super vocals and tight band
Dixie Chicks put on another unforgettable show. A perfect night out with great music and entertainment.
Nothing short of amazing. These very inspiring women are simply fantastic! Years have gone by since they started and they're just as great now as they ever were!
Hallelujah! I've found salvation through our lord and savior, Natalie Maines -- I definitely heard the voice of god (I'm not sure which of the thousands of gods, so I'm going to assume it was all of them combined) at the Dixie Chicks concert in Winnipeg on 11/5. I'm making a leap of faith that we might be blessed with the gift of a new album in the near future. Seriously, Natalie Maines has an unrivaled set of pipes -- she sounded even more clear and strong in concert than on the Dixie Chicks' albums. I can imagine how silly my face looked flopping back and forth between silly grin and dropped jaw. If you have the chance to see the Dixie Chicks (or solo Natalie Maines) in concert, take it. Unbelievable.
Concert was amazing :.. Sound system was good and loud ...I would Defiantly see them again they sounded just like their cd!!!!
What a treat to see a group of true artists who write/compose music, play a variety of instruments, and whose voices are true to their original songs (no lip-syncing here). A lot of performers could take a page out of the Dixie Chicks' book. The audience, including me, appreciated their non-stop performance without all the "smoke and mirrors' to fool you. I have never heard such a roar at a concert when the Chicks came back for their encore and performed a raw, emotional rendition of Not Ready to Make Nice. I will continue to support talented performers such as these fine ladies who are artists in the true sense of the word, and not pre-packaged, auto-tuned, lip syncing pop stars 'du jour' who don't possess a lick of talent. It was a night of 'greatest hits' with a lot of us singing right along! Well worth it and hoping for some new stuff from the Dixie Chicks!
I had a great time and shared another memory with my daughters and sister. The concert brought back so many great times we have shared with each other. Great job Dixie Chicks you were fantastic. Look forward to seeing them again. Thanks for the memories, Doreen
Traveled all the way to Vancouver from Whitewood SD USA to see the Dixie Chicks. Had an opportunity in 2006 in Omah Nebraska, but couldn't make it. It was worth every $ spent to see thier comeback show. They deserve so much better from the USA! So brave to say what they said at the time. Hope they can soon forget as well as forgive !
Great band. Extremely talented yet down to earth. Amazing harmonization and accomplishemusicians.
