The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

I loved every bit of this show I'm STRONGLY considering a round 2 in another city!
I love Blossom and pretty much any concert I have sen there. It's an amazing venue. But the Dixie Chicks put on a heck of a show. They played a few new/unknown songs in places where I really wanted to rock out to some old school Dixie Chicks but their talent is endless and they ALWAYS put on a heck of a show.
If you haven't seen the Dixie Chicks in concert, this is your opportunity and the reason my wife and I went. They played for about 2 hours (great) but it was heavy on songs we always skip on CD and there were also at least 3 covers, so a lot of songs were used up by non-fan favorites. They also ended with what we think is a new song "Better Way" which was honestly pretty generic and a terrible way to send the fans off. I understand them wanting to end with a positive message to send you on your way but for a encore, we want to go out hearing something we paid money for. Of the many concerts I have gone to see, this was fair at best. More importantly, Blossom is a terrible venue and I learned my lesson from this concert. First, it's out in the middle of nowhere and took about 30 minutes to get to from a suburb of Cleveland. Second, there are only 2 lane country roads going in and out to the venue so our traffic into Blossom started about 5 miles out and took us 30 minutes to get through just to park. When we get in, everyone is parking in grassy, sloping fields that were not designed to be parking lots. HOW IN THE WORLD BLOSSOM HAS BEEN OPEN THIS LONG AND SOMEONE HASN'T SOLVED THIS PARKING ISSUE IS BEYOND ME. When we get out of the show, exiting was a total free for all. Whereas when we pulled in we had maybe 6 people showing us where to park, on the way out there were a scant amount of teenagers trying to direct traffic. A lot of lanes you would line up in thinking that was your way out and it just didn't move for 20 minutes. I saw one car randomly doing donuts in the field because there was no where to go. We ended up driving towards a line in the center of the lot because to get out because that was the only thing that was moving. The concert ended at 10:45 or so and we weren't home til 12:45, including the half hour drive. I will do everything I can to never go there again and do NOT recommend it to others.
I loved the show. And particularly love that they are still political. Didn't play my favorite song but even without it the show was fantastic.
Awesome concert!!!! great to see them again!! they did not disappoint!
I was totally amazed at the musicianship of these ladies. You still got it girls!
This was a much anticipated show for us and we were not disappointed. Natalie's voice is fantastic! Love her new look. Emily and Martie are still beautiful and multi-talented ! Only wish they would have interacted more with the audience and let us know what they have been doing the last 10 years.( family, kids). Loved the videos behind their songs and during stage changes. Also glad that they have not shied away from the current political circus.
I used to love the Dixie chicks when I was a kid so I was very excited for their new tour. I was wrong, they played mostly new songs that no one has ever heard of. They put a political video on for the song Ready to Run which was extremely annoying. With the upcoming election it would be nice to escape politics for one evening. But, hey, it's the Dixie chicks and they couldn't keep their political opinions to themselves. I was extremely disappointed in the experience and I don't recommend this show to anyone who isn't familiar with their new music. I wouldn't pay $20 to see this show again, let alone the $45 I paid for it. Opening act was someone I had never heard of. Buyer beware.
Great show! Anxious to see them again at Hollywood Bowl. Entertainers that enjoy their work and love the music, this is the group to see. They have not lost anything and even though radio decided not to play them the group held to their beliefs. On February 11, 2007, it won three Grammy Awards in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. In 2009, Rolling Stone named "Not Ready to Make Nice" the 77th best song of the decade Go girls and see you in Hollywood!
I was soooo excited for this concert and was really looking forward to listening to all of their old songs. I was so disappointed at how little of their old music was played at this concert. Way too many cover songs made the set list too. The Dixie Chicks have so many great songs. They did not need to sing all those covers. Because they hadn't toured in so long, I really expected them to play more music off of their older albums. I was relatively disappointed in the set list.
3rd time seeing the DCX was the best yet! Everything you expect and more!
This was an absolutely amazing show! So much energy and excitement! Love love loved it!
Blossom was wonderful, the weather was perfect - we were ready for an incredible evening... But The Dixie Chcks just didn't feel as if they even knew there was an audience in front of them. I wouldn't spend my money had I known this
The Dixie Chicks put on an unbelievably good performance - the singing was just as good live as the studio recordings and it's easy to tell that the band is passionate about their work. I'm incredibly biased as a huge Dixie Chicks fan, but they still exceeded my expectations and I came away very impressed.
From the first song to the last, it was amazing. So glad I got to see them finally.
Dixie Chicks are back!! They are amazing! Concert was great!
I have always loved the Dixie chicks, big fan from way back.thay sounded great can't wait to see them again, so happy thay Added Columbus to the tour we will be there in September
It's wonderful to have the Chicks back in the USA to entertain all of us fans. They were absolutely great, along with their band . It was further enhanced by the great video playing on the screen behind them during the whole concert. My only complaint is that they played a lot of cover tunes from various artists, while I think most people would have preferred the Chicks playing their own songs, as they haven't been touring here for a long time. All in all, with Natalie Maines' voice still as powerful as ever, and the stage presence of the whole show, it was a win. I already got tickets to see them in Louisville.
Just like their opening concert in Columbus 10 years ago, this concert was incredible. The energy from the audience was palpable. The trio delivered their usual - excellent vocals and harmonies, skillful solos by Marty and Emily and an interesting two hour set. I'm so glad they're touring again.
Political, like we care! Played 3 or 4 originals... The rest cover songs! The sound of the music was great but we didn't know the music. It was confusing! Natalie seemed angry.. Still! Ha! We bought tickets and traveled 2 hours, got a hotel...expected a great comeback.... Not a good show! I was disappointed!
