About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

  • Dixie Chics aren't what they used to be!!!

    by Disappointed197979 on 6/17/16First Niagara Pavilion - BurgettstownRating: 1 out of 5

Horrible horrible horrible!!!! People were boo-ing 2 songs into show and others walking out. Played only 1 or 2 old songs and everything else was new and noone even knew the songs. Short concert followed by I think a 2 song encore (once again new stuff that noone knew). If not for the company of friends, we would have left too!!!

  • Dixie Chicks Still Have It!!!

by MDChicksFan on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible show. Have seen the Chicks 4 times and this was their best show. Non-stop music, all the hits and then some! If you get the chance see them in this tour. It's like they never stopped!

  • Great music, sound not so great

by 71OldGuy on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New York CityRating: 4 out of 5

I love the Dixie Chicks, and this was the second time I've seen them at Madison Square Garden. They put on a great show, but I must say I found the backup band way too loud, to the point of overwhelming the DCX. Maybe I'm just getting old. I wasn't crazy about The Heavy, different style of music that I'm not into.

  • They 've still got it!

by steadfastchicksfan on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic concert! We got upgraded to floor level seats from the rafters. Thanks Chicks! Saw you at MSG in 2006 and also at Meadowlands in 2010. Loved this concert as much if not more. Glad you are touring again. Missed you big time. Why don't you play at Bethel Woods?? Love to hear you there.

  • Great concert - very entertaining

These girls are pure energy and put on a great show. Really liked the political video too

  • The Chicks are back!

What a fabulous concert! The Dixie Chicks are back and as fantastic as ever! Great concert and great time,

  • Dixie Chicks awesome but skip the VIP hot seat

by NYCDixieFan on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was amazing. The only thing I would criticize was the vip hot seat package give away. We spent a lot $$ on the seats, and the special gift and commemorative ticket was really poor. Perhaps I had high expectations but the little bag with a plastic ticket and a metal thermos was not my idea of a great gift. I've done these and at least received an autographed poster or album, but the giveaway was disappointing. That said, we were there for the music and it was awesome!!!!!!!

  • Worth the 17-year wait!

by JoshuaRyan on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a fan of the Dixie Chicks since the Wide Open Spaces days, but never had a chance to see them live. Then with all the political drama and the disbanding of the group, I thought I never would, so when the tour was announced I bought a ticket immediately. And I'm SO glad I did. They were just as amazing as ever, and are some of the best performers and musicians I've ever seen on stage. The concert was beautifully visual and showcased their incredible singing and playing talents. I loved it, and was glad to finally fulfill my teenage wish of seeing them in concert.

  • high energy talented ladies

The show was great. I do not know all their songs but was entertained from beginning to end. Amazing musicians!

  • Sucks.com

by Thejoik1 on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Bad Concert, bad song chocies, no flow, crowd kept getting up to go to bathroom or get another drink as they played bunches of bad songs in a row. I thought they were punking us.

  • Dixie Chicks were great

by Cino on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. The girls sounded great and put on a great performance and limited any political talk.

by MGJK2 on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Dixie Chicks were amazing!!! I was so happy to see them together again. Love love love!!! And they played all of their great songs.

  • Dixie Chicks Great in Return to Boston!

    by SoccerFan8694637 on 6/17/16Xfinity Center - MansfieldRating: 4 out of 5

More than a concert, the Dixie Chicks put on a "Show" of the highest magnitude, integrating different staging and videos to create a spectacle of sights and sounds. Good stuff: great Wide Open Spaces sing-a-long, Not Ready to Make Nice encore, 25 song set list, and acoustic set mid-show at the front of the stage. Not as good stuff: would have like more of their hits, fewer covers, maybe a few more stories to complement the music, and the music was just way too loud -- gave me a headache on the way home.

  • The Dixie Chicks are Better than Ever!

by SGWNUMBER1 on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Even though they had no new music to share, their show was as current and wildly entertaining as the last time I saw them at Madison Square Garden 10 years ago. Their multi-media presentation was spectacular, and the energy was electric. It's too bad that it wasn't a full house, but that worked to our advantage when our nose-bleed seats were upgraded to floor seats! What made the show feel new was an acoustic blue grass version of "Single Ladies," a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to Prince and a touching honoring of the victims of the Orlando mass murder. These three women are wildly talented musicians. i want to see more of them.

  • DCX - AMAZING AND WORTH THE WAIT

by ROAFAN1985 on 6/17/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Flawless and perfect - worth the wait but hope we will not have to wait a long time for them to return!

  • the chicks have hatched!!!!

fabulous!!! high energy, great performances! never stopped singing and smiling!

  • Dixie Chicks were great. SPAC sound system poor.

by ajk13 on 6/17/16Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

The Dixie Chicks put on a great show. However, I don't know if it was the acoustics or the sound system but it was hard to make out the words of any the singers that performed.

  • Amazing!

by AmyCDR on 6/15/16First Niagara Pavilion - BurgettstownRating: 5 out of 5

The Dixie chicks sound even better than they did when I first saw them in college. Their set design was the best I've seen, stunning backdrops. And Natalie. Oh, Natalie, you are so blessed with a powerful, but effortless, lovely voice. I loved it!
