About
The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

DCX Hartford CT
by Leenied on 6/20/16XFINITY Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5The show was fantastic. Had such a great time! Would have liked to hear a bit more of the harmony, maybe the bass was too loud. Great job ladies, you still got it!
Dixie Chicks are Amazing in Concert
by Anonymous on 6/20/16BB&T Center - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5I would highly recommend seeing/hearing the Dixie Chicks in concert because you will not be disappointed. They play their classics: Wide Open Spaces, Ready to Run, Cowboy Take Me Away, Top of the World and the hits from the fantastic Taking the Long Way album: Not ready to Make Nice, Lubbock or Leave It, Easy Silence, The Long Way Around and they also play covers of some familiar hits: Landslide, Nothing Compares 2 U, Daddy Lessons, Better Way. The music is top notch and the ladies are clearly having a great time on stage celebrating over 20 years together. If you get the chance then go see them in concert. Also this is a great concert for young girls to attend with their parents or moms. (The crowd was not rowdy, drunk and disrespectful as many fans are at country concerts are today. IMHO)
Dixie Chicks were great!
by swiveldrummer on 6/20/16XFINITY Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5The Dixie Chicks were just as polished as ever and put on a great 2+ hr show at Xfinity Theater, Hartford. They played a lot from the Long Way CD and all earlier hits. The background LED graphics were beautiful and very vibrant. The acoustic set in the middle of the show was amazing and back to roots. All around A+ show. Ran a little late and could have had just one opener, with an earlier start than 9:30, but not complaining....quality night!
DCX on top of their game!
by hchatel on 6/20/16XFINITY Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5These ladies kicked a$$ amazing show. Worth every penny. The chicks came on stage at 9:30 - after 2 opening acts. The show did not end until 11:30PM. I was impressed. Far and away better than seeing them at Gilette Stadium in 2010 (bad weather that day). They played for their fans. Their voices were on spot, the musical talent these ladies and their band members have is above the talent of newer artist. They played a good mixture from all their albums. You will not be disappointed. If you expect them to have learned their lesson and shut and sing, you shouldn't go, If you are true fan, you should.
AMAZING!
by ellie23 on 6/20/16Xfinity Center - MansfieldRating: 5 out of 5I've waited a very long time to see the Dixie Chicks and they exceeded my expectations! This night of music started with 2 fun opening acts, but clearly The Heavy was the winner of supplying great music and I felt lucky to see them on their last night on the tour. Then, the Dixie Chicks finally took stage and let me tell you, that opening entrance and song was dramatic and perfect!! Their set design was so simple and clean and really let everyone on stage be the focal point to put their musical talents on display. Natalie's voice is even more powerful and emotional in person and I was awed by her performance. My daughter was with me and we just sang along, danced, and laughed the whole night. A fantastic 26 song set list featuring all the songs I truly wanted to hear and the visuals nicely supported the emotions of each song.

Fantastic! Their performance of Top Of The World was absolutely amazing! They played most of their greatest hits, with great energy and enthusiasm. Natalie looked and sounded great! I loved it and already can't wait to see them again.
Fantastic
by LBR82506 on 6/20/16XFINITY Theatre - HartfordRating: 5 out of 5Please don't wait 10 years to give us another fantastic show like that again.

Dixie Chicks were awesome!
by TLKee on 6/19/16Darling's Waterfront Pavilion - BangorRating: 5 out of 5I traveled from Connecticut to Bangor Maine to see the Dixie Chicks as the tickets were a Christmas gift from my daughter. I had a wonderful time, and the show was incredible! I've missed their music and their talent. So good to have them BACK!!!!!
The very best show in years
by JohnVz on 6/19/16Darling's Waterfront Pavilion - BangorRating: 5 out of 5This show was truly amazing. From the song list to the performance these women put on a show I will never forget. If you weren't near the stage ,don't worry, there are large screens that scan around the performance... you wont miss a thing. Even though they haven't preformed in 10 years, they didn't miss a beat. This may be the show of the year! I loved the tribute they did for Prince, it was an honor and Natalie dint a great job! Thank you for this tour.
So much for that
by tednix on 6/19/16SPAC - Saratoga SpringsRating: 2 out of 5I had seen the Chicks 3x in the past, including with James Taylor in Cleveland. I even had the privilege of watching the Courtyard Hounds in Rochester. I have all their CD's. That's why I was sad to not see a presentation of their talents that I could hear and appreciate. The bass was so loud that it drowned out the Chicks' vocals and instrumentals. The pyrotechnics were over the top. I can't fault them for grabbing the bucks that a tour like this can provide, but I'm grieving for the loss of a simpler time for me and the Chicks.
Worth the Wait!
by BrittaBrittaBritta on 6/19/16Xfinity Center - MansfieldRating: 5 out of 5DCX can always be counted on for an amazing show! It was GREAT to have them back! It's awesome how tens of thousands of people come to see them despite the fact that they haven't released a new album in 10 years. The audience was loud and enthusiastic and full of good energy. The music was very loud, almost TOO loud (I wore earplugs), and I wished for less "noise" so I could hear Natalie's voice better, but that's my only complaint. They did a great mix of old songs and newer songs. Some people are saying there were too many songs from the Taking the Long Way album, but that's my favorite, because it's the most authentic to them - all of the songs were written by Emily and Martie and Natalie, and are very personal to them, and thus, those songs have greater depth to them when performed. The graphics/visuals were so much fun - especially for Easy Silence and Ready to Run. Confetti showers made everyone smile. Natalie's stage banter was hilarious, even though she didn't talk as much as I had hoped she would... and Emily and Martie didn't talk at ALL, which is too bad, because in their interviews and documentary and on social media, they have great things to say! All in all, it was an amazing night, and I have dreams of following their tourbus all over and seeing the show a dozen more times.
Such a great show
by Nenito12 on 6/19/16Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5These women really know how to put on a great show, especially Natalie Miaines. The show was vibrant and energetic and they sang all her famous songs. It will be an unforgettable concert.

by Tonnyd on 6/19/16Darling's Waterfront Pavilion - BangorRating: 5 out of 5What a great show! After all these years the Dixie Chicks still look and sound great! They put on an awesome show playing multiple instruments!

Chicks Wow Bangor Waterfront!
by ChixFan58 on 6/19/16Darling's Waterfront Pavilion - BangorRating: 5 out of 5As longtime fans, my sister and I were there for the music, and the ladies played for us! DCX set the tone for their multi-generational audience, which spanned ages from 20s to 70s! After we endured the 2-hour-long slog through the opening acts, the stars took the stage with gusto and their trademark gritty glitz. WE became one, while singing familiar tunes back to the songsters.
amazing
by kdlji on 6/19/16Darling's Waterfront Pavilion - BangorRating: 5 out of 5The city is ready for these events from the hotel reservation, dinner reservations and parking everything went smooth and everyone is helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will book again. Thank you Bangor.
Great Show!
by MaineConcertGoer33 on 6/19/16Darling's Waterfront Pavilion - BangorRating: 5 out of 5The Dixie Chicks put on a great show. I was hoping for more of the traditional hits from the 90s, once they played them the crowd went wild. Great time had by all.
