    Great Show. A few inconveniences.

by SeedyPlaya on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

First of all, I would like to say this was an epic show. The lineup was amazing and each band gave a great performance. My major gripe was having no time between artists. With two stages, it was near impossible to catch every song. I wanted to see the last three sets in full, but lost the opening and closing songs from the Offspring. The other thing that could be improved, would be to have more food vendors or better organization. I had hoped to get something to eat, but didn't want to sacrifice any live music. Those minor issues aside, I would recommend this show to a friend and cannot wait to see the lineup next year.

Godsmack was the cherry on top!

by Anonymous on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

It was so hot but we were in San Antonio at the end of May and on blacktop in the middle of the parking lot with not many places to cool off. But the bands all brought their best songs, making the sweltering heat worth it all. Godsmack was amazing. Pyrotechnics on point, drummers brought their heart on that stage, of coarse Sully's performance was awesome. The whole night was incredible and I have memories I'll never forget!

The screens should be set up higher. It was difficult to see them from the chair assigned area.

    Shows were good but...

by MarginalReviewer on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

Ok Def Leppard was outstanding. Shocking, I know. But apart from the music, I paid almost $1,000 dollars for two premium "Rockstar" passes. This comes with all kinds of goodies. Premium parking with a dedicated entrance, indoor areas, 10 free drinks with each ticket, lunch, dinner, a free t shirt, etc. The premium parking was in "Lot 6", as it said on the tickets. It was not awesome to pull up and find that lot 6 was blocked off, nobody could park there, and every person we stopped to ask could not tell us where the premium parking was. In fact, they had no idea there was premium parking. They also didn't know there was a dedicated entrance. We had to park VERY far away, and we couldn't ever find anyone to tell us where the entrance was, so standing in line in the 98 degree heat was our destiny. I won't ramble on and on about this. The bottom line is it was a great concert, but I could have gotten that with a much lower priced ticket. I would not recommend the premium tickets based on my experience

    Too hot!!!

by TexasHeat on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

Bands were awsome but River City Rockfest needs to be held either earlier or later in the year. Standing around on hot parking lot with no shade in Texas humidity is miserable. $10 FOR BEER AND $5 FOR WATER IS RIDICULOUS. It was an experience but will not be going back.

    Awesome

by Hello12 on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

Was so glad there was free water refill. Love that!! Lots of potter potty with sanitation stations. I thought they had a great line up of bands. Was extremely hot maybe they should think about creating some shade with mist like the bud light station had in the middle so people can refresh themselves. Food location was great. The entrance was far but good. The exit should have been on the opposite side so people won't be walking on the street the way we were.

Keep the great bands together on the same stage! Splitting them up was not good.

Def leopard wasn't what I expected

by GeneralFDR on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

The line up was horrible as it is. Expect more.all the bands that were good played way to short. They need to find better bands that are relavent to the time period. Not washed up bands from back In the day

    Dangerously hot weather, great music.

by RiverCityHotFest17 on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

The artists themselves performed well as expected. Great bands, great music. You have to scramble and squeeze in where you can when a band comes on. You also have to sacrifice listening to a bands full performance to get to the next one in time to get a good spot. You cannot leave the rockfest at any time, otherwise you pay full price to get back in. BEST TIP: Wear sunscreen, bring CASH & a huge hat! Downside to this event is that your experience is highly dependent on the weather and size of your wallet. The entry lines are horrible, the lines to pretty much everything (food, bathrooms, etc.) are just as bad. The food is moderately priced however, they get you good with drinks. Alcohol $10 no matter what size (cans) and all non-alcoholic beverages are $5. Water $5 per bottle, talk about a rip off on an essential necessity, considering you are in 100+ degree weather. You can fill up your empty water bottles with their tap water, but it's awful. Taste like septic water. I would much rather pay to watch each band perform on tour to avoid all the crazy and get a good spot to watch the show. Also at a normal venue you don't pay this much for drinks or food. First time and last time I attend this event, it was an adventure. But I prefer ACL in Austin.

    The Offspring was amazing!

by MSGV on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

Good concerts. Next time would just do the GA admission though, no premium packages. I didn't think it was worth it.

    Godsmack was fantastic!!

by Debbmc on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

Loved the line up but running from one main stage to another was taxing and I missed several songs from the band I was leaving to hear another big name band on another stage Also I paid for Promoter package. Clubhouse was great but very few chairs provided for the outside decks and very little shade provided outside of the clubhouse Not worth the extra money I paid

Still fun if you plan correctly

by Aaaaaaaaaron on 5/30/17AT&T Center - San Antonio

Granted there is nothing we could do about the weather, be prepared for the heat, 11 hrs is no joke, the $5 waters were ridiculous, we spent almost $300 on water, it was very difficult to get a cup of ice, when we had lunch all i wanted was something light and refreshing but no, every food truck was heavy, greasy and fattening food just perfect for 100 degree heat (sarcasm implied).the overlapping set times can be pretty frustrating, we only got to see 7 bands. Also the fanduel stage had a massive speedbump thing to cover the cords, necessary yes but terribke placement when moshing.
