The Brothers Johnson Tickets

My evening with "The Brothers Johnsons" was amazing, before they got on I was able to see a lot of other great talent that rocked the house as well. I had great experience even though I was enjoying the show under the rain it was worth it. Had a good time with all the real O.G's that showed up a lot of beautiful woman you can hear singing and screaming in the background. one of the best concert I have gone it in my life.

George played beautifully along with the other performers on stage, and ending the concert with STOMP was an experience i wont ever forget, and they paid a nice tribute to Louis Johnson as well.

This was a great and well run event. I was happy to see these old school acts getting it done. I wasn't impressed with watching acts I paid good money for performing to prerecorded backing tracks. As a musician, I like seeing the live band. That aside, I thought Evelyn King brought her A game. Actually thought she might have been the stronger act tonight. Rose Royce was great too. Heatwave was a struggle what with the only original member being highly restricted due to a medical issue. And yet, I still had to get up an groove to the GrooveLine...like everyone else. Finally, a live band hit the stage with Lakeside. And boy did they bring it. Those guys were having fun and it was spread to the crowd. From opening to ending song, they kept the party going. Final act was Brothers Johnson (minus Louis of course). George is an icon, but I didn't feel he had enough to headline. The crowd agreed a sizeable portion began to walk out during the show. I respectfully stayed to the end. Stomp was nice, but it wasn't enough. I actually have some advise for George Johnson. YOu should do a tribute section to Louis and highlight many of the hits he played on sans the Brothers J. Hits like Michael Jackson's "Get on the Floor" or "Off The Wall". That will give you more upbeat songs and remind the crowd of how influential you and your brother are. Nuff said.

We had such a great time at this concert! I loved all the performers. It was truly an awesome night!!

Great show for my birthday! Although some of the acts sang to pre-recorded tracks, it was still an awesome experience. Evelyn's voice is as strong as it ever was. Each act was excellent. So great to hear all those great songs. There was one thing that was missing that made me very happy...AutoTune!! LOL!

My expectations was old school funk with a full band . Thank God that Lakeside and Brithers Johnson give the full affect of real musicians, and didn't play from a track, unlike Evenlyn and the others !

Everyone still had a great voice and good energy for the most part. Jimmy JJ Walker left something to be desired. He was loud and somewhat obnoxious. I didn't expect that. The biggest surprise for me was that Brothers Johnson was actually Brother Johnson due to one of the two brothers' deaths last year, but the remaining one, George, sounded good with the band. We were a little disappointed when Evelyn and Heatwave performed without bands, but they still sounded great.

Lakeside and Rose Royce put on a really good show! Played all their great hits and the bands were tight. Jon, the bass player for Rose Royce was really good. His son was in the show and did a great job. I remember Jon from his days with Yolanda. Superb bass musician!

Finally the brothers Johnson are back. What a great pleasure to see these guys and there terrific performance. Their sound is awesome and brings back a lot of good memories! Iam so lucky to see them live. Great

All 3 groups were great. It was a stone gas honey!. The brothers johnson were funkier than a 5 day old pot of collard greens!!! Now that's funky. I want the video tape.

Loved it, it was really great, I especially liked the Brother Johnson set, it was like being in a studio during one of the their jam fests. There were times here and there when the sound was not sufficient and/or needed some adjustments because there was some major feedback emanating from the mikes. Rose Royce was very entertaining and enjoyed all their music especially when they played "Car Wash" and "Love Don't Live Hear Anymore".

Rose Royce was really good!! Original Lakeside was fair. They dress up there lead singer to look like the last lead singer. Looks like they are trying to fool people. I go every year to the Funkfest at the La County Fair when they have it. Next year instead of buying the tickets I will be getting the free seats. Not worth paying for unfortunately!!

Worst concert ever!!!!! Will never go see this act again!

Had a best time reminishing. More to come please!!! We will be there again to witness such event. Good old memories are still the best! More power to the organizers.

this was our second time at the Hollywood Bowl. We were looking forward to see everyone who was on the list., but they had surprize guests too. What a night! We'll be back for sure.

Quincy Jones was at his finest! The array of seasoned artists and newcomers was delightful. It was altogether an amazing show.

When Q opened his show and said get ready for a "party", he wasn't lyin'. Q at the Hollywood Bowl was A-MA-ZING! His genius and talent for the beauty that is music is unparalleled. His all star cast from new young talent, James Ingram, Patti Austin, Gloria Estefan, Siedah Garrett, Brother's Johnson... singing all time favorites along with the Q band were on fire. BJ had us partying in our seats and aisles! Special guests like Frank Sinatra Jr. and Andy Garcia were a treat! My only complaint is that it had to end. If Q comes to your city, it's a must see. Don't let anything stop you. Nothing would make me happier than to see this concert again! Hollywood Bowl - please make Q return next year. I'll be first in line to buy a ticket!

Unfortunately she got to sing only one solo -- the crowd liked it (and her) an explosive bunch! Jones, on the other hand, showed that he doesn't much care for her, being unable to even pronounce her name correctly! Also on the negative side, was the sound was TOO LOUD! The other folks were as expected.
