It was a great concert. He is a showman from the word "Go."
The music, the setting, the fireworks were wonderful.
We wake up the Friday after Thanksgiving, put on BSO's Christmas CD, start trimming the tree and mixing the martinis. Without a doubt, the best thing to get you in a rockin' Christmas mood. I've seen this show no fewer that 4 times, including the Knoxville show which was recorded live at the Tennessee Theatre on Surfdog records two years ago. The great thing about Nashville is he usually brings out a special guest or two to play with him, such as Dwayne Eddy. Get your tickets early - these shows sell out quick!
As always Brian and the orchestra were fantastic. He is a true guitar virtuoso. It's so great to hear a tight sounding orchestra fronted by that classic hollow-body Gretsch sound. My wife and I took all three of our kids, ages 17,13 and 11. All enjoyed the show and had great things to say about it after. My oldest son is a fairly accomplished guitar player and my middle son plays bass, both were in awe!
We enjoyed this concert very much! The Christmas theme was very upbeat.
Well Done Brian! We could not wait to go, and he did not let us down. Brian played all the biggest of the big hits, and lots of Christmas music. While we would have liked to hear more of his music, it was billed as a Christmas show, so what can I say. All in all a great show.
Brian Setzer playing that old Gretch is worth the time and money to see, only wish there would have been more of that and less horns .Drummer was excellent, but didnt really do a solo.
Brian rocked the house again!!! Great show. Sound was great at this venue. I thought the sound would be terrible since it was an old style theatre, but it was not. I liked being able to travel a short distance to see the concert. There was no issues with traffic, except the on/off ramps closure on the 215 due to construction. My only issue was the lack of exits in the theatre. It seems there were not enough exits to accomodate the sell out crowd. It took a while to leave once the concert was over. This is probably due to the fact that the theatre is an old building. Any seat in the house gave you a good view of the stage. I would see another concert at this venue. To top it off, parking was FREE!!
This was my 1st Brian Setzer concert and it was unforrgettable. I had an amazing time. The music makes you want to get out of your seat and dance!!
The Brian Setzer concert was great. He has so much energy and it really shows that he loves what he does. He's a real crowd-pleaser, and a fantastic guitarist!
Great set list. Great musicians. Saw these tickets and was glad I got to see him near where I live instead of going to LA. I had tickets for his show 3 years ago but got sick so I gave to my son soooo I was glad I was finally able to enjoy BSO live!!
Great show. First time seeing him and were very impressed. Puts you in the holiday mood. The venue is worth going to see alone. Old movie house about 100 years old.
What a talent! Recommend to anyone who loves to rock!
I waited many years to see Brian Setzer in concert and let me tell you it was well worth the wait!! This show did not disappoint!! He sounds as great as he did in the 80's. The show is fun, entertaining and the music is epic! LOVED IT!!!!!
When I bought the tickets for this show I had a certain expectation. I thought it would be a good show, but oh I was wrong. This show was amazing. It was so much fun to be there and see him and his orchestra play. They perform like old buddies who reunited and are just up there having fun. They joke, they do ridiculous things with their music and they make the audience laugh and smile the whole time. If you didn't have the urge to get up and dance, you were still sitting there toe-tapping, clapping and head bobbing the whole time! Go see this show, you will not be sorry.
The Brian Setzer Orchestra surprised me, well put together show, lots of Stray Cats tunes, very entertaining!
I saw the Stray Cats back in the early 80's and this is the second time seeing Brian Setzer Orchestra. Brian and his orchestra are incredible. He is one of the best guitarist still playing out there. This concert definately got me in the Cristmas spirit. Great Christmas and Stray Cats music with an orchestra. Keep it up Brian. You ROCK!
Saw him in Stray Cats first at the Roxy before they left for England to cut their first album. Been a fan ever since. This show was no letdown! It was a pleasant mix of Christmas tunes done in Setzer's special, rockin' way, old school Stray Cats tunes, Rockabilly classics and crowd pleasing solos and schtick! Faces were cracking with grins from ear to ear in the audience...positively brilliant!
So much energy non-stop Great Music the whole night
