    TTB & the Black Crowes

by brenna29 on 8/13/13PNC Bank Arts Center - Holmdel

Both bands were amazing!!! It's the third or fourth time seeing Tedeschi Trucks and they were awesome as usual! First time seeing the Crowes: I am still amazed by Chris Robinson's energy on stage! And, it was a very muggy night!

The sound on the Black Crowes was awful

by itwasntthebestshowever on 8/13/13Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - Wantagh

Tedeschi/ Trucks was very good. They had a good sound and really seemed to want to entertain the crowd. I could listen to Derek play all night. Obviously there was a different sound guy for the Crowes. Chris Robinson has an incredibly powerful voice but he was drowned out by the band and the backup singers. You couldn't hear him for crap and it ruined the whole show. Finally was OK but how could you not play Hard to Handle? Also kept shuffling guitarists but never introduced the band. I talked this concert up to my wife for months and was badly disappointed. Big Let down!

Great Music by Tedeschi Trucks & Black Crowes

by Mohawkman on 8/12/13PNC Bank Arts Center - Holmdel

good music. Was hoping for some Susan Tedeschi solo stuff. Black Crowes rocked the house. "She Talks To Angels" and "Hard To Handle" got the biggest response from the mature crowd. Biggest negative: The people in front of us stood for the entire concert and never sat down once. A little inconsiderate.

Awesome place to see a show. It was a great show. The black Crowes were excellent. Always enjoy seeing them play. The crowd was friendly. They even saved my place in the front when I had leave. Great group of people at a great show.

    Show of the Year?

by ChasJD on 8/12/13STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

Some papers are saying this was the show of the year in Pitts and I would be hard pressed to argue that point. Like seeing two headliners in one show. Tedeschi / Trucks were outstanding. Could listen to Susan sing all night....she is that good live. Was a little concerned about the Crowes after seeing some of the set lists from earlier shows, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. It was like a greatest hits concert with all the favorites. Chris Robinson still puts on a show and gets his groove on. Two long sets by two great bands. A fun time was had by all.

TTB lit the fuse and The Black Crowes Blew it up!!

by seedykay13 on 8/12/13PNC Bank Arts Center - Holmdel

This was an event we have relived in our minds over and over again. It was truly amazing. TTB was just fantastic - so tight. "Angel From Montgomery - Sugaree - Angel From Montgomery was overwhelming and incredible. The Black Crowes came out at full speed and kept the pedal down through out. Chris was ebullient and joyful but oh-so soulful and the band was energetic and energizing.

The Black Crowes were just amazing. You never know what you are going to hear at their shows. Their setlist changes from night to night. Tonight at Holmdel the setlist was a dream setlist. Love the Crowes, so happy their back doing what they do best, Playing Rock and Roll!!!!

The Black Crowes & Tedeschi Trucks Band at PNC

by beegg on 8/12/13PNC Bank Arts Center - Holmdel

Overall it was a very good concert. The TTB has a new cd out, I believe, and are changing their style somewhat. They were playing very loud. Susan has a wonderful voice and it is a shame that she could not be heard above the volume. Highlights were 'midnight in harlem' and 'angel in montgomery'. I am not that familiar with the BC songs, but they are a great band.

Black Crowes + Susan Tedeshi & Jeremy Trucks Band

by Ticketmasterlixballs on 8/11/13STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

Didn't catch the opening act as the show started at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday night and by the time we left work and hooked up in the parking lot, the opening band was on stage - out door amplitheater. It started raining so we got a beer inside. The rain stopped and the sun came out just as the Shielded-Trucks band started their set. Not too familiar with the band, but they definitely have a new fan now. They played their tails off. Excellent, excellent set. But then the Crowes came on, and in usual fashion, rocked the house. Not too much can be said other than if you like the band, then you would've liked this show. The sound was just about as perfect as you can get. If rain is the bummer about an outdoor stage, then the fantastic sound you get is the bonus. The set list was pretty typical of what they are playing on this leg of the tour, but they were tight. Very good show. I will probably catch them again next month before they head out west.

Tedeschi Trucks - mostly originals -some DTB stuff

    by gtree61 on 8/11/13STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

No Soul Stew type covers this time around. Added avant jazz flavors to the mix and a soft/loud song structure. London Souls were really interesting - Humble Pie/Free/Steppenwolf type 70's rock. Crowes didn't do much R&B.

Great show. Great venue. TTB and the Crowes are a great duo and the London Souls were a very good three piece. I'd go again tomorrow!

    Black Crowes rock Pittsburgh again

by MushMasterTom on 8/10/13STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

This was the third time I have seen The Black Crowes live, and though the other two shows were great, I felt this one was the best. The band jammed out as they usually do, but Chris Robinson's vocals and stage presence was top notch. He has to be recognized as one ofwas the top 10 rock'n roll vocalists of all time, if not top 5. His vocal range during this show was enough to give goosebumps.

I had never been to Stage AE before and I highly recommend it. Great sound. Small. Comfortable. Oh, and Tedeschi-Truck and the Crowes ROCKED!
