Didn't catch the opening act as the show started at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday night and by the time we left work and hooked up in the parking lot, the opening band was on stage - out door amplitheater. It started raining so we got a beer inside. The rain stopped and the sun came out just as the Shielded-Trucks band started their set. Not too familiar with the band, but they definitely have a new fan now. They played their tails off. Excellent, excellent set.
But then the Crowes came on, and in usual fashion, rocked the house. Not too much can be said other than if you like the band, then you would've liked this show. The sound was just about as perfect as you can get. If rain is the bummer about an outdoor stage, then the fantastic sound you get is the bonus. The set list was pretty typical of what they are playing on this leg of the tour, but they were tight. Very good show. I will probably catch them again next month before they head out west.
