The Band's Visit (Chicago) Tickets

Songs were pretty and dialogue seemed to be funny, but couldn’t understand it. Captions as with the opera, or at least more volume would have helped immensely.

Heard great things so expected to really enjoy this show. Was disappointed. Slow moving and depressing. Actors great and did laugh but overall did not live up to expectations. Best part was band playing at very end. We got up to leave, thinking it was over, but luckily usher told us the band was going to play!

I knew beforehand that this would not be a traditional musical, but the lead actor was lackluster, the pacing slow, and the music forgettable. I'm sure the Broadway version was far better. The lead actress was superb, but other than that, it was very disappointing.

good show but should be in smaller venue. much dialogue very soft spoken, many scenes very dimly lit. made hearing difficult even for folks with good hearing as sound system did not amplify enough. with hearing aids, i should have gotten the theater's headsets. heavily accented dialogue didn't help either.

Overall I was not alert and the show did not hold my interest. The audience seemed to love it.
