    The Aluminum Show was rusty

by MrCeeJay on 4/3/11Robinson Center Music Hall - Little Rock

Neither my wife nor I liked the Aluminum Show. The special effects, dancing and gymnastics were enjoyable, but the (lack of a) plot was confusing to me. I don't know if this qualifies as "abstract art", but I could not understand the significance of many things that happened on stage. I became bored and irritated over the waste of money for the tickets. I would not recommend this show to anyone, other than a theatre critic.

    aluminum show

by dogmommy on 4/1/11Robinson Center Music Hall - Little Rock

Excellent dancing and performing, good props, excellent robotics, music well done. Only complaint is the crowd interaction was all on the center and left, the people on the right were basically ignored. Cute story line. Was a good show. Cast interactive afterwards with audiance.

    seat warning

by realunhappy on 3/31/11Robinson Center Music Hall - Little Rock

We could afford balcony seats, Do not get balcony seats for this show, the show comes into the audiance and we could not see what was going on in many parts of the show. also we sat so high we could see the puppeteers behind the screens, First show I disliked so much I left before it was over. I hear the people on the floor liked it much more.

I took my 14 year old son and we both enjoyed the show. There were people of all ages and I think it was appropriate for all ages. Very energetic and fun. I was pleased and impressed with the dynamics of the show.

    Aluminum

It was a great show. If you like Stomp or Blue Man Group, this is a must see.

no where near blue man group or stomp!!!!!

by anna2011 on 3/12/11Springfield symphony hall - springfield

If you saw the blue man group and/or stomp you will be very disapointed of the aluminum show. It doesnt match up to nether of the shows. It is more of a dancing with huge slinkys around show. thats it. I mean for the kids it is a perfect entertainment but not worth it if you have no little ones to take with you. really, I sat there and wondered why did I waste so much money for this...

    Fun Frenzy

by BDMM on 2/17/11E.J. Thomas Hall - Akron

The Aluminum Show was fun to say the least...even my husband had a grin on his face during the audience participation segments. Reading the program in advance to know the story line was helpful.

    Unique Family Fun

by mbvmom on 2/14/11E.J. Thomas Hall - Akron

The Aluminum Show was great family entertainment! It started out slow, but soon picked up in intensity and the high energy kicked into gear about halfway through the show and carried us through to the end! We love how the performers met with the audience afterwards! The ticket prices are affordable and definitely worth it. Good value!

The Aluminum Show was absolutely awesome!

by teacherchristi on 2/14/11E.J. Thomas Hall - Akron

I would love to be inside the designer's head - what creative genius! I was as awestruck as if I were at a magic show! The interactive part was a lot of fun - would be extremely entertaining for the whole family! The performer's energy was incredible - they never stopped and were highly talented and expressive. Don't overlook this opportunity for a great show!

Not STOMP, Not Blue Man Group

by Anonymous on 2/14/11E.J. Thomas Hall - Akron

The show has trace elements of both STOMP and Blue Man Group, but doesn't really achieve the same level of talent or charm. My kids were entertained, and there were parts that were very good, but overall, the performance was just ok. I'm glad I got the 4 pack for $50, because I'd have been disappointed if I paid the full $30 per ticket.

My kids enjoyed the audience participation stuff, but without that the whole night would have been a bust.

The Aluminum Show was completely fabulous!!

by Anonymous on 2/7/11Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

I was intrigued by the show's description on paper, but I really didn't know what to expect. It was nothing less than amazing, and was truly a cross between Blue Man Group and Stomp! I was captivated from start to finish. I especially loved the interaction with the audience. I wish I could see it again!

    Aluminum was ok

by angusbeef on 2/7/11Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

The show was too fragmented. I enjoyed some parts but didn't like other parts. The singing with the black screens was so out of place and didn't seem to fit with the rest of the show at all. I think it could've ended with the "baby" being found and been just fine. Everything after that seemed extraneous. The pillows in the audience was fine; but the aluminum "snakes" were too similar to the Blue Man Group toilet paper and a little forced. I would have a hard time recommending this show. My guest really enjoyed it, but she has not see BMG or Cirque, of which I have seen both; much higher quality shows.

    Kind of Boring

by Science10 on 2/7/11Springfield Symphony Hall - Springfield

The dancers were excellent, however the dance routines were the same througout the entire show. Boring. Mix it up! Also they never changed their costumes. Boring. Then, when they did the pose that is on their advertisement for the show (with the aluminum coil around their body, with only their feet sticking out), about 5 seconds. They should have done a whole dance routine with those costumes. The routine with the two aluminum pipes flirting, was drawn out and boring. I like the concept, but it went on way too long and they did that a couple of times in the show. Boring! Also, when they had the audience participation with the floating balloons, the upper deck didn't get to join in the fun. They easily could have made sure both levels had the balloons. Overall, the show fell short and could be excellent if they put a little more variety in it. This was more like a good high school play, rather than a professional show.
