Really going to miss Gregg and the Allman Brothers at the Beacon!
There are 5's that really aren't 5's, and there are 5's. This show was a 5! The boys and guests were tight and most energetic! I am very clad I made this show!
ABB was Peakin at the Beacon great show trombone shorty was off the charts
Great show. They played for 4 hours. Sounded great.
Allman Brothers Band Tuesday night show at the Beacon Theater was the best concert that I've EVER been to.
Great show. Haven't heard Revival and Mountain Jam live in years. Spectacular!!!
THE BROTHERS WERE GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
Always a great show, something for everyone. Old favorites, new covers. Gregg's stronger and his voice is better than it has been in years. Wayne and Derek are excellent. A little too much Ashbury Jukes for my taste (6 songs in all), but otherwise an excellent show.
Another awesome show at the Beacon. It was a great set list and Greg's voice sounded fantastic. Derek and Warren were on top of their game
Show was good. Have been seeing band for 40 yrs. Gregg didn't seem too into it. Maybe drunk, or not feeling well? Derek & Warren seemed to run the show. Didn't recognize a couple songs. Maybe I am getting old. ha. Also my guest and I got tired and left by intermission. They took a long time to get on stage at 8pm, and the show probably went pretty late. We had a taxi waiting for us, and a fairly lengthy ride home.
not their best show--sound was off--muddled vocals--Gregg was good, as were guitars time to end this lineup--it is played out imo
What a great show. Sorry this is the end of the legendary "Beacon Run"
Every March since 1992, The Allman Brothers Band have reigned supreme at the Beacon Theater. I have sat in every section. Floor, 1st balcony and upper level. Never a bad seat in the house. This particular show on 3/15/14 was a disappointment to me. Late: Show did not start till AFTER 8:30! Sound-wise: Everything was "muffled". (I was in upper level, for this show) Performance: Playing seemed labored (except for Oteil). Derek was not taking as many solos and the trade-offs between him and Warren, were almost non-existent.
I've made the trip to NYC to see The Allman Brothers Band for many years. This was my eighth Beacon show and it was awesome as always; especially Derek Trucks. It is so hard to believe it is over.
its simply amazing to see. this band is so tight its mezmerizing to watch !!!
Great show started seeing them in 1970 can't believe it's over
The show was a great mix of classic concert staples - major jams and surprise picks. Killer versions of Whipping Post, Jessica and Dreams. Old Before My Time, Rain, High Cost of Low Living were interesting choices. The band is as tight as ever. Oteil is at the top of his game. Warren and Derek continue to prove they're the best guitar duo out there and monsters in their own right! God bless Gregg but the band will never be the same without them if at all. Glad I had a chance to be there one last time........(I guess we'll see won't we?)
I've been 4 times in total (2 last year). Each one different, each one great. Nothing compares with the engine that is the Brothers in full flight. The encore was Whipping Post, a great memory for my final ABB concert. Worth the trip from the UK
This was a spectacular performance. One of many great Beacon shows---. So much ABB energy.
Thank goodness for Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks and Butch Trucks. Great guitars and solid drums led by Butch. That's what makes the Allman Brothers. Have to say that seeing Jaimo (the other 'original drummer') walking away from his drums during songs, letting two other unknowns sit in during a couple of songs and generally waving at the drums when he was on the drum seat was a bit of a distraction. It's the end of the Allmans with Warren and Derek leaving. Looking forward to following the guitarists on their separate paths with Gov't Mule, Tedeschi-Trucks and whatever else these two musicians find themselves doing.
