Greg Allman Sick and not present
by bobcable on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5Warren Haynes did his best to put on a good show, however I did not spend $900.00 to see the band without one of it's main members. I see the Allman Brothers every year and this year being the last for the band, since they have announced that 2014 will be their last year performing together, was a let down to say the least. People came from all over the United States(California, Boston, and Chicago), to see the band as a whole, an were also very disappointed. I know many fans like myself wish for Greg Allman to only get better and understand that everyone has to call in sick to work from time to time, however, a final concert tour of this magnitude, should have had reschedule dates or refund capabilities, so that customers could have made up their minds if they wanted refunds so they could apply these funds to the other venues the Allman Brothers will be playing at in 2014. We are all left with seeing the final concert without Greg Allman, and quite honestly, it leaves a poor taste in most dedicated fans mouth. Where is the bands allegiance to their fan base. I first saw the ABB in 1974 and ticket cost was $6.52. Today my single ticket was $225.00. I expect the best when purchasing a ticket and the full package, not partial. Not the way I wanted to end my run seeing the Allman Brothers Band. Hopefully Dickey Betts will not let me down in May, 2014 at the Bergen Pac, Englewood, NJ
