  • No brothers on stage

by Geiknman on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Gregg was sick, we cannot help that and I do hope he recovers swiftly. Nevertheless, I paid for a product that I did not receive. Derek and Warren and the band did a great job, but its not the same without Gregg.

  • Allmans at the Beacon

The show was great, despite Gregg's absence due to illness. They gave a great show and pulled it together.

  • Not the same without Greg Allman!

by LivSF on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

We hope Greg is feeling better! Sadly - the concert was not the same without him and lacked his spirit.

  • Greg Allman Sick and not present

by bobcable on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Warren Haynes did his best to put on a good show, however I did not spend $900.00 to see the band without one of it's main members. I see the Allman Brothers every year and this year being the last for the band, since they have announced that 2014 will be their last year performing together, was a let down to say the least. People came from all over the United States(California, Boston, and Chicago), to see the band as a whole, an were also very disappointed. I know many fans like myself wish for Greg Allman to only get better and understand that everyone has to call in sick to work from time to time, however, a final concert tour of this magnitude, should have had reschedule dates or refund capabilities, so that customers could have made up their minds if they wanted refunds so they could apply these funds to the other venues the Allman Brothers will be playing at in 2014. We are all left with seeing the final concert without Greg Allman, and quite honestly, it leaves a poor taste in most dedicated fans mouth. Where is the bands allegiance to their fan base. I first saw the ABB in 1974 and ticket cost was $6.52. Today my single ticket was $225.00. I expect the best when purchasing a ticket and the full package, not partial. Not the way I wanted to end my run seeing the Allman Brothers Band. Hopefully Dickey Betts will not let me down in May, 2014 at the Bergen Pac, Englewood, NJ

  • Allamn Brothers Band Disappointment

    by Budman0157 on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Overall the show was satifactory in content and quality as Warren and Dereck had enought guests to be sure the music quality did not suffer. The set list content was a departure from usually performances due to Greg Allaman not being there but the remaining memebers (and Guests) still did a good job. When I pay a premium, per seat, face value price of $150 (plus ticketmaster charges) to see a performer, i expect to get that performer, which did not happen. With all the dates they play at the Beacon, I am quite sure they could have postponed the show untill Greg Allman was able to perform. Bad job guys!!!!!! I guess this being the "last go round for the ABB at the Beacon", you just did not give a crap about us fans..........:(

  • No Gregg Allman

    by Weave1964 on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Gregg Allmann was sick for this show. Rather than offering a refund, the band played on. They were great, but I didn't pay $300 to see the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

  • great show

    by ladiejane67 on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I was sorry to see that Greg Allman was not able to be there, however the amazing muscians and the fine quality of the music and special guests made for a great show.

  • ABB at Beacon mar 21

    by prwoods99 on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Great show but very disappointing that Gregg missed the show because of illness. Once Gregg gets better we would love to see him for a return visit,

There was no Gregg Allman on march 21,2014. The Band did not announce this in advance, but only when the lights went down at show time. This was handled very poorly. I thought they should have offered patrons, who spent slit of their hard earned money, a refund. I am finished with this band!

  • Can't miss run that I wish I had missed

by zoer on 3/24/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I go to the Beacon every year for at least 2 shows to catch the A Bros. This year could only get tix for 1 night and in the end I was glad. Gregg wasn't able to show due to bronchitis. The rest of the band stepped up and included a number of guests coming in an out. However, you cannot replace Gregg's presence and voice. The band seemed disjointed at times as the continued to adjust, but the effect was a bit like a thrown together jam dand. Cannot never discount Warren's melodic voice, the beauty of Dusan Tedeschi when she joins, and the guitar masterpiece that is Warren and Derek combined. But....still wouldn't have put out the $800 I spent getting to NYC too see a Gregg-less show.

Very weak setlist. Gregg seemed half asleep for the majority of the show. Musically the band can play and when they decide to actually play Allman Brothers music it was phenomenal.

Great event. Love the Beacon venue. Last year for the Allman's but went out on a high note.

  • Unbelievable

Awesome show, enough said. Warren and Derrick both brought it

These past few years you go to an Allman Bros show to hear the dynamic guitar interplay between Derek Truck and Warren Haynes which has the potential to elevate the theater. Unfortunately, this evening's performance was dominated by horns which yielded to chorus/verse songs with little improv room. A fairly good first set, with a stellar Egypt and Nowhere To Run With devolved when the The Jukes Horns were introduced for 2 songs. This extended into the turgid second set as they over-stayed their welcome. Only a belting separate solo by Trombone Shorty saved some energy. The band seemed to throw a few poor choices out just because the Horns were already on stage. I've Been Loving You Too Long and And It Stoned Me slowed this show down to a crawl it never recovered from. Warren is good, but he ain't no Otis or Van and he should have at the very least only done only one of these songs. Sorry to see the end of the band, but particularly to see them perform such a mediocre show.

  • ABB at the Beacon, at last!

    by ABBFan23 on 3/22/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen the Brothers 10-11 times in the past and loved them every time. This was my first time seeing them at the Beacon and I was not disappointed. The sound at the theater is terrific, with the percussion really standing out as crystal clear. Greg's voice sounded great.

  • by Anonymous on 3/22/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Two best guitarists in the world re-imagining ABB songs and covers with original members playing very strongly. One of the top 5 concerts I have ever seen.

  • They still have it

    by Freddie135 on 3/22/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Gregg was still singing like a lion. Derek and Warren were totally in synch. I'll miss these guys.

  • good Allman show

by jbrox on 3/22/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

Still not gone forever. Seems they will all be together for festivals this summer. Good show, seemed they were just into it mid show. Always great to see. The party of people make it .

Great show from start to finish. Greg, Derek, Warren were completely tuned in to putting on a great show for all. Its amazing that we could be seeing the last of this great all time band. I sure am glad I got to see them this last hurrah.
