Great tunes, sound mix less than optimal. Bring earplugs.

by courageousdeer on 3/25/24Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

We sat in the seventh row on the far left side of the stage. Really enjoyed the songs, but the bass guitar and kick drum were so over-boosted that they shook my seat. I don't recommend sitting right in front of the PA speakers in this theater. My ears are still ringing three days later, and I wish I had brought ear plugs. As for the content of the show, the musicians were wonderful. I'm not sure why Alan Parsons himself is putting himself through the experience of a concert tour. He played the entire show seated, and it was evident that he has significant mobility issues any time he tries to stand or walk. He played an acoustic guitar for virtually the entire show that did not appear to be mic'd, or if it was it was drowned out by the other instruments (see sound mix problems above). It was evident that the other musicians were doing most of the heavy lifting. Parsons seems to be a very warm, self-effacing kind of guy based on his interactions with the audience. Overall, very enjoyable but overboosted and poorly mixed sound subtracts one star.

    LOVED IT!

by NVMom17 on 3/25/24Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

I have listened to the Alan Parsons Project for over 30 years and couldn’t believe that I had the chance to actually see them live. The music sounded just like it did on the albums and I sang along to every song. They were truly amazing and an experience that I won’t forget.

    A magnificent evening!

by Stuart C on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

28 years later I finally got to see this musical genius and legend again! And my expectations were exceeded! From the opening Higher Ground, to the final encore, Games People Play, it was an evening of memories, emotions and happiness! The band was on fire, the soloists were perfection, and it brought tears of joy to my eyes. If you have the opportunity to see Mr. Parsons and company, please do yourself a favor and GO!

Well done Alan Parsons and Band.

by BozCal on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Pros from start to finish. This is obviously a man and band who cares about his fans. Great mixture of hits and such by his 8 piece band. They could have played a few more hours and it would not have been enough. Well done Lads. 👍

    A true treat

    by T&C on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

There was no bad seat in the house. The venue was clean, comfortable and they had very welcoming staff. The concert itself was wonderful, the light show was great but Alan Parsons was amazing. A true treat 🥰

    A whole lot of energy

by Bill on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Great concert. The band had awesome energy. The only downside for me was the music overwhelmed the vocals. Unfortunately this was not exclusive to this particular band. In my opinion the music is to enhance the message of the song, not to drown out the words.

Not the Prog Rock I expected but impressive show

by SFLL on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

At the very start of the show I was suddenly concerned I might be in for a sort of top 40, yacht rock kind of show, rather than the prog rock experience I kind of assumed /hoped it would be, but it turned out to a very high production value type of show. With a very talented ensemble of musicians Alan Parsons was able to perform live versions of his biggest hits, which is somewhat of a feat with him being a producer and studio engineer, as well as a musician, whose catalogue includes some very complex, highly produced work. The musical experience was transporting and stimulating, and took me out of myself for a few hours. While I kind of hoped he’d go beyond the biggest hits and jam some of the more proggy material, overall I was very impressed with the show and grateful to get to see the legend Alan Parsons.

    Good show

by RL on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Nice venue, APLP put on a very decent performance. Lead singer had lots of energy. Could have been a bit longer. Most of the bands' hit songs from the 80's were faithfully represented.

    great show, A little loud.

by SL on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

We wish more of our favorite songs had been played. All musicians played very well, the light show was great. This was our first time seeing Alan Parsons. The music played was a little more intense than listening to it being streamed. We had a great time.

So great to see Alan and Co. again!

by Rat on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

I've been an Alan Parsons fan since the Seventies when the Project was going strong. I try to attend every show that's within reasonable driving distance, so when I heard he was coming to Oakland, I got tickets right away. Last time I saw him was in February 2020 in Napa, right before the pandemic, and I had tickets to two other shows, in Ojai and Napa again, that got cancelled due to pandemic issues. It was a beautiful venue, and although the show was a little short (totally understandable, since Alan is still recovering from major back surgery) it was thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to seeing Mr. Parsons many more times in the future.

    Fantastic Concert

by Brad on 3/24/24Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

The music was incredible. Band members were amazing, especially lead guitar & lead vocals. Played all the songs I wanted to hear. Music was loud, which I like at a concert, but the vocals seemed just a little unclear. If I didn't know all the words, I might not have understood a lot of them. The Fox Theater was amazing. Security, getting in, seating, ushers, leaving, etc., was all top notch. But I guess I'll never get used to $17 beers! 19th St. BART station was a block away, so I didn't have to worry about parking a car. It all felt very safe. Excellent overall concert experience.

From the first note of the concert to the last, the music washed over me and filled my soul. It was a wonderful concert experience and I am sorry for those that couldn’t make it to the show.

    Fantastic!

by Carol G on 11/13/22Maverik Center - West Valley City

This concert was everything I wanted it to be. The music was beautiful, true to the AP form and style. Back to basics, just like the 70s -- no video wall, no warmup band, just the Alan Parsons Project at their best!

    The show was wonderful!

by VSnyder on 11/13/22Maverik Center - West Valley City

The show started on time. They played about 14 songs. The keyboardist came down sick. Other than that it was an excellent show.
