Texas Pop Turns 50 Tickets

This was a great concert! Musicians played their hearts out and everything moved on schedule. My primary issue was the seating and bar for VIP ticket holders, which I was one. Why was VIP so far from the stage and in the sun? There should have been a water station that was more accessible to this section and the limited beer options were a definite disappointment. Thanks to the city of Lewisville for putting on a good show, managing parking and the traffic flow but the VIP ticket was NOT worth the cost. Cheers to the next 50 years!

Had a great time. Had a great view (in the shade) and met new friends from out of state. The music was great, and I’ve wanted to see ZZ Top ever since I first heard them 50 years ago. In 1971 I gave an 8 track tape to some young people I met in up state New York. They liked their music and had never heard of them or had access to purchase their music. I’m glad they’re still around.

It was so awesome. The only thing missing was someone selling power packs for phones. Everyone’s phones were running out and someone could have made good money if they sold these so we could keep taking pics, etc

#1 - The only available restrooms were in the very back of the venue. For aging adults, clean restroom access that doesn't require a really long walk is very important. #2 - The staff members directing the crowd were not directing them appropriately to where they needed to be for their specific shuttle. I think better signage to tell people where to go for their specific transportation pick up location after the concert would have been helpful. In addition, there was a VERY long wait for transportation pick up. The entire guidance to transportation and actual transportation loading was a nightmare.

We had an Awesome time. I was there 50 years ago and the city of lewisville always does a fantastic job of putting on events. It could not have been any better. Great entertainment. Great food vendors. Plenty of bathrooms. Easy to get into the event. FIRST CLASS in EVERY Way!!!!! Thank you City Of Lewisville.

Parking availability aside, this was a great event! Well run and good organization. Both ZZ Top and Chicago were amazing.

So close but they missed it! The music was great, the venue was perfect, even the amenities were good but the bus transportation was horrible!!!!! The planner completely missed the mark getting everyone back to their cars. Advice for future attendees, take an Uber to and from the event. The transit plan to get people back to their car was a disaster

ZZ Top put on a fantastic show, serenading us with hits spanning their 50-year career as a band. And we knew every song! Billy, Dusty & Frank - love your brand of Texas rock 'n blues!

Location was perfect. Adding another parking area on Summit and 407 was a great idea. Stage and sound was great. Guest lineup was excellent. ZZ Top was awesome as always. Concert security was very visible at all times. Room for improvement: Buses were a challenge on Saturday night but they quickly turned it around and Sunday night was smooth sailing. More food trucks would have been nice. I would definitely do this again without hesitation.

The grounds were laid out well. Plenty of room to spread out. Good amount of porta potties. Plenty of hydration stations. Good assortment of vendors. The transport back to parking was not planned too well but they tried and adapted. Festivals are a tough row to how and Lewisville did a good job. Thank you for doing this, I sincerely hope you at least broke even.

Went to see John Mayall, but Edgar winter out did John. Didn't stay for ZZ. We had a great time. It was well organized. Hats off to Lewisville, TX.
