    Very Organized

by JSUVMAN on 9/9/19Lake Park - Lewisville

Concert was great. We were there both days. Had the VIP tickets which were definitely worth the price. Covered seating, if we wanted, private bar, 4 free drinks per day, private air conditioned bathroom, free food each night, parking on site, free t-shirts, etc. I have never been to a more organized outdoor, general admission concert.

50 Year Anniversary, Worth The Wait

by The Yardbirds on 9/7/19Lake Park - Lewisville

This was a great event. There were lots of good people to talk to and share experiences with; an abundance food trucks to choose from (some with unique, delicious items); plenty of space and a few hugh trees to provide shade; the sound and visual effects systems were excellent; and of course the bands. The bands were great, brought back the memories we had when we saw them so many years ago, they did not disappoint. Like fine wine, the ages of the audience and the bands have made them better.

    Great summer end

by CidiMay on 9/6/19Lake Park - Lewisville

I went solely for Chicago, but enjoyed all the bands at the festival. Sound was incredible. Plenty of porta potties, cooling stations, and refill stations. The event staff did a great job with shuttle services and crowd management.

    Great venue, OK lineup

by DR - wasnt there in 69 on 9/6/19Lake Park - Lewisville

Great venue! The City of Lewisville did this one right. The layout was good. Access to the food and drink vendors was easy and fast. Toilet stalls were clean and not crowded. Great job in preparing and execution! One nit: If the stage had been rotated about 10-15 degrees stage left, there would have been more balance between stage left and stage right -- stage right felt a bit cramped and the views and sightlines of the stage area from those angles were not ideal. The lineup for the festival leaned a little too much towards blues and boogie. The best sets (IMHO) were Sarah Jaffe and Chicago. The others? A little too much nostalgia, and too much repetitiveness in the music and the styles. Overall, a good lineup for what it was meant to be. It's too bad that Grand Funk Railroad cancelled at the last minute, that Santana could not be secured, and that Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix are dead. If there are any future events at Lake Park, I'm sure the City will consider a more forward-looking lineup, and will do a great job.

    Well Done, Lewisville!!!

    by P. B. on 9/5/19Lake Park - Lewisville

The venue turned out to be absolutely great. Comfortable, clean, extremely well organized. The sound system was amazing. Could not believe how great the sound was outdoors. Even with Grand funk railroad skipping out on the event, it was simply amazing..

    Texas Pop Festival Turns 50

by BenDone on 9/5/19Lake Park - Lewisville

Nicest staff of volunteers ever!!! From the parking lot attendants to the Lewisville Fire and Police presence. The stage audio could've used a little help; mikes went out a few times. Was hot, but worth every penny I spent.

    Texas Pop Festival Turns 50

by Judy on 9/5/19Lake Park - Lewisville

The bands and music were outstanding and the venue was terrific. The city of Lewisville did an awesome job executing this tribute to the orginal Pop Festival. It was 1st class all the way! I hope they have one every year.

    Really Well Done

by LindaLou on 9/4/19Lake Park - Lewisville

We had such a pleasant night sitting out at Lake Park and listening to Chicago. The facility was very well maintained and laid out. The free water refill stations were wonderful. The porta potties were as well as can be expected. The entrance/exit/security/event staff were all efficient and courteous. The tickets were more than reasonably priced. The sound was great. But the best thing of all was how well the staff worked together to get people transported there and back to our cars. Everything was fun and seamless! The staff was even happy and fun!

    Really Really Fun

    by M. L. on 9/4/19Lake Park - Lewisville

Had a blast at this 2 day concert! The staff were very accommodating even though there seemed to be a bit of confusion in getting the event opened on the first day. Most of the bands were fabulous!! Would do it again!

    Excellent

by Scott Canfield on 9/4/19Lake Park - Lewisville

Lewisville and Angus Wynne did a fantastic job putting on this festival. Great line ups each day. Felt extremely safe, plenty of police presence. When there was a hiccup with the VIP shuttle on Saturday they addressed it and had it fixed on Sunday. You can’t ask for more than that.
