About

Featuring two of the funniest comedy minds in America, the hard-rocking, hilarious duo of Jack Black and Kyle Gass -- better known as Tenacious D -- have delivered thousands of side-splitting laughs through their profanely hysterical songs ever since their inception in 1994. The duo describe themselves (with tongue firmly in cheek) as "The Greatest Band in the World." From venues like Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion to Radio City Music Hall, Tenacious D tour-goers lucky enough to see them in concert will get every single cent's worth of their ticket price through all the big laughs in their rollicking and foul fake arena-rock songs. Expect plenty of crowd-participation singalongs in the middle of big, crunchy electric guitar riffs that make up insanely catchy songs.

Tenacious D is currently riding high on the wave of commercial and critical acclaim for their latest album, 2012's "Rise of the Fenix." This comedy-rock masterpiece features hilarious songs, like the title track "Rise of the Fenix," "Low Hanging Fruit," "To Be the Best" and "They F----- Our A----." It was the latest success in a long and varied career for the band, which first gained popularity through their appearances on the David Cross/Bob Odenkirk sketch show, "Mr. Show With Bob and David," in the early 1990s. Their first album, "Tenacious D," featured drum work from the great Dave Grohl and two memorable singles in "Tribute" and "Wonderboy." In between Jack Black's prolific movie career, the band found the time to make their own movie -- "Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny" -- and released an accompanying soundtrack to the film in 2006. The self-proclaimed "greatest band in the world" might be inconsistent as far as their album-releasing and touring schedule goes, owing to the A-list movie star status of one of its members, but fans can rest assured that when they come around, they'll deliver some of the funniest, rocking-est tunes to ever be penned.

    Long Live the D!

by Dave on 9/18/23Germania Insurance Amphitheater - Austin

What else can be said?!? It's Tenacious D - of course it was EPIC! These guys don't just play songs, they perform, and you will laugh the entire time.

Been waiting 16 years for this!

by Sebolicous on 9/18/23Germania Insurance Amphitheater - Austin

The master of tickets managed to turn a 35 dollar ticket into a 55 dollar purchase without parking or anything extra. Otherwise totally worth it. I will be there any time Tenacious D rolls through town.

    Good Show, Wrong Venue

by Nick on 9/17/23White Oak Music Hall - Pulse Power Stage on the Lawn - Houston

Tenacious D is great, but they really should’ve been playing a different venue. White Oak is nice, but this was too big a show for their lawn.

    Epic

    by Buddha on 9/16/23

Jables stared into my eye with his piercing wizards gaze and downloaded the power of the metal directly into my hungry soul. I brawled with ten guys at the same time, cancelled their pitiful mosh, and swept my woman into the gentle embrace of a man who has witnessed a god of rock. 100% would recommend.

This is the greatest and the best concert

by GJ77474 on 9/16/23White Oak Music Hall - Pulse Power Stage on the Lawn - Houston

Incredible entertainers! This was more than a concert, it was a performance! I couldn’t have asked for a better show. Thank you, Jack and Kyle for rocking Houston.

    Not worth the $$

by MC on 9/16/23White Oak Music Hall - Pulse Power Stage on the Lawn - Houston

Tenacious D gives a fantastic show, but this venue does not allow equal opportunity for all ticket holders to enjoy the view anywhere close to equally. Unless you are extremely tall or arrive 2+ hours before the headliner goes on, you have zero chance of being within any eyesight of the performance. A raised stage would have been an EASY offset to the venue’s challenges and apparently m, no one cared that your $100.00+ admission was worthwhile.

    Tenacious D

    by Kennybaker88 on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

Fabulous show, 1st time seeing them. I highly recommend everyone see them at least once, I will be going again. 1st Bank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN (Nashville area) is a fabulous new venue built in the bottom of an abandoned rock quarry and expertly converted to an outdoor venue. I been going to concerts for nearly 50 years (well over 100 shows) and while I haven’t been to Red Rocks it’s the best venue ever!

    Tenacious D Was On Fire

by Sasquatch on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

This was my first time seeing Tenacious D and it was awesome. They were excellent both musically and also extremely funny. In addition to that I will say that they had some very unique items for sale at the merch stand that I had never ever seen at any other concert in my life and I'll just leave it at that. Lol. Dave Hill, who was their opener was also very good and definitely hilarious.

    Spicy D

by Jokihn on 9/11/23FirstBank Amphitheater - Franklin

Amazing Classic D in a great venue. They have elevated their show. Newer twists on their classics. Pyrotechnics, new stage props, and amazing lighting. They never disappoint. The amphitheater is beautiful. An old rock quarry transformed into a mini Red Rocks, by unique to itself. Definitely a destination venue. Check it out for yourself.
