  • Great band, terrible venue

    by T on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Coolray field is a terrible place to see a concert. We sat on the 3rd base line (2nd row). We were 1/2 mile from the stage and the big screen stayed in the same position the entire show (wide view). I would have volunteered to run the camera so others could actually see what’s happening on the stage. I’m sure the view was fine from the field but it was terrible from the $80 seats we had.

  • Amazing Performance!!

by Regina on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful evening of music all the way around. Really enjoyed the first act as well! The moon was full and our hearts were full!

  • Pared down but still awesome

    by Mike S. on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Fireside Tour is a pared down version of the band, allegedly because of COVID- No horns and only one drummer. It's different - horns are certainly missed on several songs. But the format also provides Derek and Susan more opportunities to highlight their talents. We've been following them since they formed and we've never heard Susan sound better or stronger and her guitar playing is awesome. Can't wait to see the whole band back together at the Beacon in the fall, but I'd go see Fireside again in a heartbeat.

  • Awesome Concert!

by BH on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 5 out of 5

They really are talented and entertaining musicians. Susan does a great job on the vocals, and I think at this time, Derek is the best guitarist that there is. Also, Gabe Dixon was great on the keyboards and the organ. The two back-up vocalists both have great voices, and they added a lot to the show. This is a must-see concert!

  • Saturday Night Date Night

by TomR on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 3 out of 5

So, they stuck the stage way out at the end of center field, some 400yds away from our lower level seats. We could almost make out the faces on the facility's jumbotron. Could've stayed home to see them on TV. The sound was good, although i thought Susan's mic was a little too hot. Also, wished they'd played more familar songs; they played a lot of longer jam songs. The facility also had most of the food vendors closed, which we found very disappointing. Doubtful we'd go to another concert event at this venue.

  • WOW

by BILL on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was awesome, they were really prepared, the pods were an excellent idea, and the music was Spectacular.

  • Great band, lousy venue

by gwinvid on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 1 out of 5

I've never seen a show in a baseball stadium before. The venue sucked. Stage was at the rear of center field. Seats were easily 350 feet away. Really horrible venue. The big screen camera was one camera that was locked down and never changed the shot. The picture was grainy. The background singer was never included in the shot so we never saw him. Definitely the last time that I'll ever go see a show in a baseball stadium. The band was great and the setlist was fantastic!

  • Always Rock It!

by Walt M Britt on 8/24/21Coolray Field - LawrencevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The crowd was not as large as it should have been, but that is a result of our crazy times, not the talent on display. Notwithstanding TTB brought it all and rocked the house. My third time seeing them and took my daughters and sons-in-law for their first time, and we all were blown away.

  • Skills were great. Her vocals were not clear

    by Bill on 8/23/21F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 3 out of 5

I think her amp or other reasons left us disappointed. We could not understand most all of her vocals, and she is usually very good. Too bad. While it is is style, too bad Derek can't provide a little personality for the audience. Percussion was great.

First ti.e @ the Kirkby, The publuc parking could be a bit more easier to locate, Not many signs, I was surprised that there wasnt much advertising around the Venue , But we found parking, And Enjoyed a Fantastic performance From the Band, Seemed a Bit loud up in the Balcony, But It all went beyond Expectations !!!

  • All things considered …

    by Kevinpvb on 8/21/21F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

This was a very good concert. The town of Wilkes Barre was very accommodating. The people at the concert were all polite to each other and respectful to each other. Parking and the venue were first rate. Easy in and out of the venue and the area. The band was excellent. I felt like I got my money’s worth from an entertainment perspective. Acoustics was the only real issue. The mixing setup seemed to be set for a larger venue. The sound was to loud my my own personal liking. The overall mixing also seemed to downplay the overall band and mixed each of the instruments to a volume that left the overall sound off balance. But the total experience rendered that to be a very minor thing.

  • Fantastic show

    by Lou on 8/21/21F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 5 out of 5

Easy to access the concert with electronic tickets. Band was at a high level, the audience was pumped to finally see a live show. The music was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the two hour long sets and the encore!

  • Loud Musical Masters

    by Keith A on 8/21/21F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-BarreRating: 4 out of 5

These musicians are some of the best there are and they did not disappoint. The sound mixing could have been much better. The sound was way too loud for the venue (Wilkes-Barre,PA) making me cover my ears when Trucks and Tedeschi really got into it. The vocals were overrun by the guitar licks and the guitar licks made my ears hurt. There were no flashing lights directed at the audience (thank you) and the seating was comfortable. The band was not personable with audience but they played there hearts out and that is what I wanted to experience.

  • TTB does it again!

by MommyPat on 8/16/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful show. The socially distanced show was really great. Music awesome( as usual) great sound and fans. Derek's solos and Susan's voice on Midnight in Harlem was specially good.

  • Bittersweet

by Crney on 7/27/21Rating: 5 out of 5

When I heard at the last minute that TTB was coming to Winston Salem, I knew I had to go. They are one of my favorite bands! Driving from Greensboro to Winston, I played all my favorites including my capture of their 7/15/2018 show in Charlotte. Then it hit me, standing out in the rain recording them singing “Dont Drift Away” on that summer night, was the last time I saw Kofi Burbridge play and sing with them. I was sad, but proud of TTB, and then excited to see them again. They played some of my faves including “Anyhow” and “Midnight up in Harlem”. Thanks for stopping by so close to my neighborhood! You’ve been one of my faves since the Derek Trucks Band years, circa 2005 (“So Close So Far Away” and “Make a Joyful Noise” were on repeat for a LONG time). Until you come around again…❤️

  • Small town venue, Big time band.

by FW on 7/21/21Appel Farm - Elmer RoadRating: 5 out of 5

The only thing that could be more relaxing than watching the Tedeschi Trucks band at Appel Farm, would be for TTB to set up their stage in my back yard. Excellent sound quality with a well rounded setlist. Crowd was laid back, but clearly enjoying the music. Band was excellent as usual with great vocals. Derek is simply the best, but I really like to hear Susan's playing too.. Really nice that they support small venues like this. I would love to see them at Appel Farm again.

  • A Great Show!

by K. B. on 7/20/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Was an excellent show!! Daryl Trucks is such an amazing guitar player. And Susan Tedeschi has such a great voice. As do the others in the band! The venue was great. Socially distanced so you felt safe. The staff was very friendly! I think a good time was had by all!!

  • The Drive at Winston Salem Fairgrounds with Tedeschi Trucks

    by Michele on 7/13/21Winston-Salem Fairgrounds - Winston-SalemRating: 4 out of 5

First, let me say the concert that Derek and Susan played was awesome! It was so nice to see and listen in person to live music. It has really been missed!! As far as the venue set up, I wasn't very impressed. They REALLY need more porta-johns than they provide for the main, not VIP guests. It was ridiculous that I had to wait at least 30 mins to use one. I was disappointed that they only served beer and 2 flavors of bear claw wine coolers. I am not a beer drinker and really don't like wine coolers. They should provide at least wine, if they are not going to serve mixed drinks. It was also very frustrating, to not be able to see the band until the sun went down. The first half of the set you could only listen to them. They need to figure out a better way to project the bands to the audience, that are not near the stage. It's not really fair, that you can only hear the band until the sun goes down!
