Ted still ROCKS!!!
by LegacyTank on 7/19/10Billy Bob's - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5For being a man in his 60's, you sure wouldn't know it. The "Nuge" put on a GREAT show on Saturday night at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth! The house was pretty much packed. The music was, as usual, great. The quality of the sound for the most part was great. Occasionally some of Ted's "personal commentary" could not be heard (we were in the reserved seating, about half way back from the stage). The band was very "tight", it was obvious that they've been playing together awhile. Ted Played for about 2 hours (including an encore of "The Great White Buffalo"). I am a service disabled, retired military Veteran and there were comments made by Mr. Nugent that made my heart swell up with pride. He is a true American, while also a musician, who is a GREAT activist in his own way, through his music and interesting commentary throughout the show. I would highly recommend ANYONE go see him. He also paid tribute to the Father of rock and roll, the blues...by playing a song by Stevie Ray Vaughn and one by one of the old bluesmen of "back in the day" (not sure who, but someone along the lines of Howlin' Wolf or Muddy Waters). He made mention of all the great blues guitarists that influenced him in his musical career, such as the great SRV, B.B. King, etc. If you want to go see a great show, great audience interaction, and an American Rock and Roll Legend, go see Ted Nugent. You will be glad you spent the money. Which was reasonably priced at $40 (For RESERVED SEATING!!!), $20 for regular admission. Try and pay that for a ticket at other shows and get the same quality of entertainment!
