The show was excellent. Insanely high energy. Uncle Ted's still got it at 61. Amazing experience

  • Ted Nugent still blows me away.

by AndyDiz on 8/2/10House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Ted nugent should open a school for professional musicians / performers. I have seen him many years ago and his show is as good if not better. I took my 17 yr. son to the show. It was his first real rock concert. I believe Ted set the bar real high on what is to be expected at a rock concert. We both left the show a little hard of hearing but both excited and smiling.

  • The Nuge what you expect and more

by Big8hunter on 8/2/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

As expected the American Blood Brother played a bunch of the classics amd mixed it with some solid covers as well as some newer stuff from Love grenade. these guys are very seasoned and always seem to be in synch. Without fell as with any Nuge appearance the commentary was as much fun as the music. For 62 years old Uncle Ted still brings it!

  • Ted is still the MASTER

by NotOzzy on 8/2/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Uncle Ted on Friday night in Pittsburgh! I hadn't seen him since 1994 as we were never in the same place at the same time. He still brings his A Game to the show. I've seen him MANY times going all the way back to the 70's. His guitar playing was always top notch and he is still in rare Ted form, as good as ever. His energy level and intensity is the same, and his voice sounded even a little better than ever! WOW. Uncle Ted still Rocks, and Talks in true Gonzo fashion. Back Straps for Everyone. See This Tour, you will not be dissappointed.

  • Uncle Teddy Still Has it!

by Napalm755 on 8/2/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Ted Nugent still puts on a great show. If you like energetic guitar licks, bass runs, and good old fashion rock, this is a good show for you. Sure you have to deal with an ego-maniac, but the guys been playing for 56 years so I'm willing to give him a break!

Ted Nugent, as always, put on a great show! Exceptional music and enjoyable political discourse!

  • Uncle Ted destroys the Fort Pitt Tunnel

by BigManInWoods on 8/2/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Did anyone notice that immediately following Uncle Ted's searing hot, freedom loving attitude filled and inspiring performance Friday, July 30, in the shadow of the Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel, they had to close the tunnel for the entire weekend. The powers-that-be knew that Uncle Ted's spirit and explosive brand of Rock 'n' Roll could not be contained in the meager confines of the Trib Total Meda Amphitheater and that tunnel and bridge damage was a foregone conclusion. Val Halla was the perfect warm up act. Just enough eye-candy to get the crowd's attention and then more than enough greasy Rock 'n' Roll to prepare them for Uncle Ted's onslaught. Ted's performance was no more and no less than what long time fan's have become accustomed to. His enthusiasm energy and dance moves on stage belied his almost 62 years of age and his two recent knee surgeries. He played all the standard Nugent classics (noticeably absent was Dog Eat Dog, a staple in his set for decades and Journey to the Center of the Mind, which he had been playing since the release of Love Grenade). But Ted always mixes his sets up from year to year, just enough to keep it interesting. New in his set this year were a cover of The Kinks "You Really Got Me" and a brand new song "Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead". He also included some other covers (which he's done before) in some medlies and breaks in his own songs, including "Red House", "Soul Man", and "Bo Diddley". His delivery of Stranglehold was as awesome as I've seen in the 20 or so Uncle Ted shows I've seen and rivaled any version that's been recorded. Greg Smith and Mick Brown, "The Funk Brothers" continue to be the best and tightest rythyms section Ted's had, since touring in the three-piece format. Greg Smith delivers the vocals on Derek St. Holmes' songs with great skill. The encore was the expected Great White Buffalo, but he did not play his encore staple Motor City Madhouse. He , of course, ended his encore, in full Native American head-dress by shooting a flaming arrow in an exploding replica of his Great White Buffalo Gibson Byrdland guitar.

  • Uncle Ted still got it!

by Pjtxxx on 8/1/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Nuge rocked like it was the 1978 Double Live Gonzo Tour. Hasn't lost a thing. In fact, Ted gets better with age. Like a fine vintage rock legend should. You won't be diappointed. And opening act Val Halla kicked major a-- too! Great choice! Thanks uncle Ted. Best show of the summer!

  • Uncle Ted is the original !!!

He is just the same as back in the old days..when I close my eyes during Cat Scratch Fever...and some of the other songs it took me back in time as if time has stood still..if only for a few moments...Love it!!

  • Typical Ted

by BigKenOhio on 8/1/10Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Ted Nugent gives his audience what they want...in double gonzo doses! Playing over two hours, he ripped through the Nugent classics and remembering his roots gave us more. He combined snippets of early rock and rhythm and blues classics throughout his set. Ted Nugent is still bigger than life and we are damn lucky that he still kicks ass!

  • by Suezkat on 8/1/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Ted was unbelievable, I didnt expect such a great performance! He has very strong political opinions and isn't afraid to voice them! Muscially he is strong and sounds great, when he played Stanglehold it was like a religious experience, I would go see him again in a heartbeat!

  • Ted Rocked the Burgh!!!!

  • Uncle Ted rocks!!!!!!!

by mcgack on 8/1/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

At age 62 Uncle Ted still makes the guitar beg for mercy. the seating was great, Ted is the true rocker with spirt and soul. Thanks for the great night Ted and hope to see you again next summer. never disappointed, Gum To the Trib TMA: the handicap area should be elevated above the general seating, when a concert starts everyone stands and this individuals can not see the performers. A few portable platforms will give these people the height they need to see the stage. overall great seating anywhere.

  • The Nug Rocks

I got exactly what I expected. He rocked it out. Val Halla was surprising good. I didn't know her but she has a great voice and sound.

there was a drum solo that was clearly recorded.... the drums didn't match the music at all.... so other than that it sounded pretty damn good . and i had a good time. packed in wicked tight but it was still a blast

  • Ted Nugent ROCKS!!!!!!!

by MotorSergeant on 7/31/10Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Very patriotic, NRA gun toting, Hunting advocate, Living the American dream. Very thankful to the U.S. Military, he understands that FREEDOM isn't FREE! A very very good guitarist! He played like he was 20 years old, instead of 62. Very vocal works the crowd, keeps the crowd into it.

  • Gift for my husband..

by CJ3291 on 7/31/10Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Bought the tickets for my husband who is a fan of Nugent's guitar rifts and political views. Uncle Ted did not disappoint and husband enjoyed the evening. I also found the performance amusing and found myself tapping my foot to Cat Scratch Fever and Stranglehold.

Awesome weather we were blessed with. Then as the sun went down the LC was blessed with the sounds of Uncle Ted and his Pro American stance. God Bless you Ted and what you mean to music and to your fans. Keep rockin and wishing you a very good hunting season. May God Bless you and God Bless America.
