About

TARRUS RILEY IN CONCERT:

Reggae singer Tarrus Riley, son of Jamaican reggae legend Jimmy Riley, is following in his father's footsteps, creating socially conscious music aimed at spreading love and empowering youth. As a member of the Rastafari movement, the younger Riley is no stranger to the spiritual power of music, and his live shows are truly moving affairs. Whether he's reminding all the rude boys that "She's Royal" or advising fans to "Cry No More," Riley's message of love and tolerance will be loud and clear on his 2014 tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in the Bronx in 1979, Tarrus Riley is the son of Jamaican reggae icon Jimmy Riley. He put his music pedigree to good use early on in life, making his recording debut in his teens and releasing his first full-length Challenges in 2004. The recipient of numerous awards and nominations including a Soul Train Music Awards nod for Best Reggae Artist, Riley's distinctive voice has garnered comparisons to several greats including Dennis Brown and Gregory Isaacs. With his sixth studio album Love Situation hitting shelves in early 2014, Riley continues to build on his father's legacy as he hits the road for a string of highly anticipated US tour dates.

    Lights out

    by J. on 3/3/20William E Reed Auditorium - Boston

We did not stay for the concert because the electricity and lights went out and we were standing in a dark hall for nearly 2 hours without any directions from the organizers. There was no music. We left by 11:45 when the show was supposed to begin at 10. There were lots of fans standing outside in the cold. I hope it wasn't in vain for their sake.

    Worse event planning ever

by Flo on 3/2/20William E Reed Auditorium - Boston

Had to pick a star to continue but I give it zero star. The venue didn't have power, we queued for over an hour and a half. from 10pm to 11:45pm. We had to leave. Am looking for a refund. Would have loved to see Tarrus but not on the cost of my health given it was freezing cold. Would love to attend a future event.

    worst experience in my life

by mike on 3/2/20William E Reed Auditorium - Boston

power was shut off and this could have been intentional coz other places had power they couldn't even come up with the idea of a back up generator the whole thing was a nightmare standing in the cold then the artist had to show up at 1am remember the place closes at 2am it was really bad.

    Almost a bust

    by S. D. on 3/2/20William E Reed Auditorium - Boston

It was looking like the show wasn't going to take place due to a power outage in the neighborhood which was out of the promoter's control. But thankfully, the lights were on around 11:45-12am, and the band came out and Tarrus Riley came on. It was a great performance. The Blak Soil band did an incredible job. Mr. Dean Fraser had us all cruising to his saxophone. And of course, Tarrus Riley! Despite the rocky start, Tarrus came out and gave us a show to remember! #GYAL!!! BigUp Lion Promotions!

Price of drinks at the venue was over priced. I also paid $9 for an order of fries.
