Tanya Tucker on Tour
From the beginning of her career, when she was a teenager who sounded like someone way beyond her years, Tanya Tucker has been blessed with an uncommonly expressive voice. Throughout her artistic evolution over the decades, that's never changed. To this day, when you catch the country legend in concert, you're listening to a singer who can tell a story in song like nobody else. And what's country music about, if not telling stories? Whether she's delivering some of her earliest hits, like "Delta Dawn" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)," digging into later material, or changing things up completely with covers of tunes by the likes of the Eagles or Bruce Springsteen, Tucker approaches each performance of every song like it's the most important one of her life — because in that moment, it is.
Tanya Tucker in Concert
Tanya Tucker has blazed a long and singular path in country music, starting in 1972 when the shockingly precocious singer, only 13 years old at the time, debuted with her hit "Delta Dawn" (before Helen Reddy ever recorded it). With a musical maturity that made her sound unquestionably adult, she churned out a string of No. 1 country hits while she was still in her teens, songs like "What's Your Mama's Name" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)." And of course the hits kept coming after she moved on to actual adulthood, with Tucker maintaining a presence in the Country Top 10 all the way into the late '90s. She's always had an outlaw attitude that set her apart from the pack — for instance, she released a rock 'n' roll album in 1979, when such things were unheard of for mainstream country stars. So her appeal has lasted, existing outside the constantly changing trends of country. For instance, when she released 2019's While I'm Livin', her first album in a decade, enough people were paying attention to ensure that the record made it into the Top 10 on the Country Album charts.
Tanya and the TN Theatre….amazing combination. Doesn’t get any better!
Tanya put on a good show once she showed up we had to wait a hour before she came on the show started at 7:30 pm one singer came out and did her bit don’t know who she was she lasted until 8 pm then we had to wait until 9 before Tanya came out
Tanya T was in brilliant! Funny, charming, kept the band in its toes as she changed her song choices! Country music royalty! Plus the Commodore never disappoints!
Concert was good, but when she just walked off the stage, after only an hour and fifteen minutes.Everyone was waiting for an encore!! She never came back on!! Very disappointed Don’t think I’d go see her again.
Tanya Tucker's concert was one of the beat I've seen in a long time. I'll definitely get tickets to see her again whenever she comes back to town!
Went with my son, sisters and some friends. We all loved the concert!!
She was fabulous, so very glad that I bought tickets. 4 of us, all very delighted. She had her dog, Stella, along and brought him on stage (a Boxer) too cute! He did not want to leave, so he stayed.
Tanya did a very intimate and person concert. Her voice sounds great!! Just felt she should have done 2 more songs to complete a full 90 minute concert.
I was very disappointed. Usually the performers sing for one and a half hours plus an encore. She sang for one hour. No encore. And she talked a lot between songs. I don't think she sang ten songs. We drove over 2 hours to see a one hour show. Probably won't do it again. Seen her before and it was a great show.
There isn't a bad seat in the mystic lake showroom!! I only wish the concert was a little longer!
Wish she sang longer tban an hour and 20 minutes, but otherwise just a great performer!
We had a great time. Dinner at Mystic yummy. Music fabulous. Only bad thing was trying to get the tickets pulled up on the phone. Ended up going to the ticket desk and received a paper copy.
The venue was fabulous!!! The show was the same !!!
Everything was perfection! Tanya and the band were amazing- so many great songs! We love her. There was a dog! Venue was clean, spacious and easy to park/navigate. Won money on the slots. Drinks were reasonably priced. My idea of a perfect evening!
Tanya sang the songs that made her. That’s why fans come to the shows. She is thank full for her fans and shows it. It was an awesome concert. Thank you Tanya Tucker.
The Mystic Lake venue was SO GOOD - easy to get to, easy to park, easy to find the showroom. Tanya and her band were wonderful, the songs and the interaction with the audience. A real pro who knows how to entertain to perfection!
Tanya Tucker still has a great voice, funny personality, and has been around for over 50 years! However the show started 30 minutes late, and Tanya only sang for about an hour - at the Golden Nugget Casino, in Biloxi, MS! Maybe it was because the casino has strict time guidelines, or maybe she had an off-night? It was very warm in the venue, with close cramped seating. There is NO WAY an artist with so many good hits spanning over 50 years, can cram a good setlist into 1 short hour. I wished she would have done a medley of her many hits - it would have been better! When she began to sing Delta Dawn, and she did it well, I thought .. wow, why is she already singing this in the middle of her show! And then, it was suddenly abruptly over. The reaction from the audience was the same - is that it??? Is that all? Just like her hit song says, "It's a Little Late to do the Right Thing Now!
We purchased 2 tickets on the 6th row. Venue had chairs placed in the showroom. They were very close together. Because of the size of the people seated next to me, I literally was left with about a 1/4 of a chair to sit in. The venue needs to either sell the person 2 tickets or spread out the chairs at a further distance, so concert goers can be comfortable. Tanya Tucker was great. I wish she would have sang longer. She was late starting and then only sang about 45-50 minutes.
She gave a fantastic show and her band was awesome!
Was a little bit leery about getting virtual tickets, but everything went off without a hitch. Even though we're not really 'techie', was able to pull up the tickets in the app and get in without any issues. Saw Tanya Tucker at the Golden Nugget, Biloxi....Show was great! Will not be worried about any Ticketmaster purchases in the future.
