Tanya Tucker on Tour
From the beginning of her career, when she was a teenager who sounded like someone way beyond her years, Tanya Tucker has been blessed with an uncommonly expressive voice. Throughout her artistic evolution over the decades, that's never changed. To this day, when you catch the country legend in concert, you're listening to a singer who can tell a story in song like nobody else. And what's country music about, if not telling stories? Whether she's delivering some of her earliest hits, like "Delta Dawn" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)," digging into later material, or changing things up completely with covers of tunes by the likes of the Eagles or Bruce Springsteen, Tucker approaches each performance of every song like it's the most important one of her life — because in that moment, it is.
Tanya Tucker in Concert
Tanya Tucker has blazed a long and singular path in country music, starting in 1972 when the shockingly precocious singer, only 13 years old at the time, debuted with her hit "Delta Dawn" (before Helen Reddy ever recorded it). With a musical maturity that made her sound unquestionably adult, she churned out a string of No. 1 country hits while she was still in her teens, songs like "What's Your Mama's Name" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)." And of course the hits kept coming after she moved on to actual adulthood, with Tucker maintaining a presence in the Country Top 10 all the way into the late '90s. She's always had an outlaw attitude that set her apart from the pack — for instance, she released a rock 'n' roll album in 1979, when such things were unheard of for mainstream country stars. So her appeal has lasted, existing outside the constantly changing trends of country. For instance, when she released 2019's While I'm Livin', her first album in a decade, enough people were paying attention to ensure that the record made it into the Top 10 on the Country Album charts.

All 5 performers were great and very entertaining!
It was a fun and great sounding concert I enjoy the event hope to go to more events like that one!
Connie was good. BJ Thomas was really, really good. Marty Stuart was just OK. John Anderson is who I went to see. I'm an old, big fan of his. I love his sound, his songs and his character. At least I did. Somehow his Mic got shut off to those of us in front center. We tried everything to let him know. The lady next to me wrote a note and held it up, "JOHN, WE CAN'T HEAR YOU". Nothing. We left our seats, went to the back, (sounded good back there), told the people running the sound and lights, They were so unbelievably rude. I just could not believe it. Again, I was front row, dead center, his lips were moving but we could not hear him. One song after another. I hope John reads this, or at least his people read this. I have to believe John went off stage wondering why everyone front and center looked so disappointed. I hope he gets the news. I saw him up north a year ago, again in the front row, small venue, it was the best. I've been a huge fan since the (his) beginning. Tanya. Wow. 10X better than I expected. My better half loved her sense of humor. So did I. She seems to enjoy what she does.
It was a good concert for the most part! Marty Stuart and Connie Smith were the greatest part of the show. We left cause it took Tanya Tucker way to long to come on stage. If you had left it at Marty and Connie and they had each played longer and together would have been a perfect show.
The stage set up was perfect and each band and singer were awesome. Tanya is back!!
This was a great event at an affordable price to see some of the legends of country music. I love going to the outdoor venue at Hinckley, they do a nice job of managing the crowd and making the concerts a pleasant experience.
Connie Smith, BJ Thomas, Marty Stuart, John Anderson and Tanya Tucker, what a wonderful line up! All of the performers did a fabulous job!! We had a fantastic time and we hope this event will be repeated next year!
Absolutely loved it till the end when Tanya Tucker came out. After three songs I left. Somehow watching a 59 year grind and snap her front was unappealing to watch. She is not a young person and to watch moves like Elvis and Michael Jackson did not work for her. She should have saved the moves as it took away from her music she sang. Also very long waits while they changed bands.
Upset they didn't have the tv screens up for the people in the back
Tanya put on a great show. She looked phenomenal and her voice was great. She did all of her hits plus songs from Glen, Merle and Elvis. I myself am not a country music fan; tickets were a gift for a friend, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Tanya Tucker is awesome. Definitely see her again.
Best show ever! She was wonderful and has not lost her edge! Truly a wonderful show and experience.
Whether seated in front or back no one got cheated on this show. Tanya Tucker's voice is as strong as when she was 13! Wonderful performance
a great show Tanya was great she was on stage more than 2 hours and very energetic the whole time
What a great show!!!! She was so energetic and her voice was just the way I remembered. A must see if she comes in the area again.
After years of being off the road, T doesn't miss a beat. Loved the set list ❤️
I forgot all the hits she has had over the years. she sang the songs like she recorded them. Sounded amazing. I recommend the venue to see anyone up close and personal. The only problem is they pack you in to tight at the very small tables.
She played a lot of her old songs and really did an amazing job with Merle Haggard's song, she brought tears to my eyes... I grew up listening to all the old country singers and she made me think of my mom and the hard times we all endured. Tanya is a reminder of old love songs and broken hearts...and she is one tough cookie! She made me laugh so many times; especially when she did a shot of tequila on stage! We LOVE you Tanya- keep touching people' s hearts and I do hope you write that song for that little girl...
Tanya Tucker in the words of my friend "best concert ever". The Blue Ocean was a great place to see a concert. Finding place as well as parking were easy. Hopefully we get to go again
