Tanya Tucker on Tour

From the beginning of her career, when she was a teenager who sounded like someone way beyond her years, Tanya Tucker has been blessed with an uncommonly expressive voice. Throughout her artistic evolution over the decades, that's never changed. To this day, when you catch the country legend in concert, you're listening to a singer who can tell a story in song like nobody else. And what's country music about, if not telling stories? Whether she's delivering some of her earliest hits, like "Delta Dawn" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)," digging into later material, or changing things up completely with covers of tunes by the likes of the Eagles or Bruce Springsteen, Tucker approaches each performance of every song like it's the most important one of her life — because in that moment, it is.

Tanya Tucker in Concert

Tanya Tucker has blazed a long and singular path in country music, starting in 1972 when the shockingly precocious singer, only 13 years old at the time, debuted with her hit "Delta Dawn" (before Helen Reddy ever recorded it). With a musical maturity that made her sound unquestionably adult, she churned out a string of No. 1 country hits while she was still in her teens, songs like "What's Your Mama's Name" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)." And of course the hits kept coming after she moved on to actual adulthood, with Tucker maintaining a presence in the Country Top 10 all the way into the late '90s. She's always had an outlaw attitude that set her apart from the pack — for instance, she released a rock 'n' roll album in 1979, when such things were unheard of for mainstream country stars. So her appeal has lasted, existing outside the constantly changing trends of country. For instance, when she released 2019's While I'm Livin', her first album in a decade, enough people were paying attention to ensure that the record made it into the Top 10 on the Country Album charts.

  • Tanya's great, experience not so great

by Maisieduck on 10/30/19The Cave - Big Bear LakeRating: 3 out of 5

Tanya had a very sick dog the night of the performance and was very late in performing. The doors opened at 6:30 and she didn't come to the stage until after 9:00. The venue decided to give away Tanya memorabilia - great idea. Unfortunately instead of just doing a random giveaway or a silent auction for charity they decided to give it to the "person that partied the hardest". As a result most of the audience was completely soused by the time Tanya hit the stage.

  • AMAZING!!!

Tanya Tucker put on one of the BEST shows! I was so excited to share this experience with my 12 yr old son as it was full circle. I first heard and fell in love with Tanya Tuckers music at his age. He was also super lucky to get a guitar pic and a set list. He said he the best time!

Loved it. The venue was awesome and Tanya did a fantastic job. We will DEFINITELY return to The Cave for future events.

  • Good concert, Tanya still has star power.

This was a good concert. My wife and I loved it. The Golden Nugget Casino need to invest in a theater. Movable seats in a banquet room just isn’t the best way to see a concert. The Beau Rivage and IP casinos have great theaters.

  • Tanya Tucker concert Sept 28 at Golden Nugget

by Charlie on 10/2/19Golden Nugget - Biloxi - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Pink hair and all, to support breast cancer recovery, Tanya had an excellent show at the Golden Nugget. Hit songs and a few new ones with an excellent country band, she made the evening memorable. During the show she had a reunion with an old acquaintance, shared a marriage proposal from and young man on stage and his fiance accepted, and a close up and personal greeting from a confort dog in the audience.

  • Tanya Tucker was amazing.

Venue was nice but chairs crowded. Needed more bartenders. Acoustics and show was great.

  • Tanya was amazing ...venue not so much

    by P. K. on 10/1/19Golden Nugget - Biloxi - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

Tanya Tucker was amazing!! If you were sitting in the first section you were fine, but we were four rows back in the 2nd section (awesome seats) but the bar was out the door and there was constant traffic back and forth...and many times couldnt see from people stopping.

She was a lot of fun to watch. She is a great entertainer. Just wish she would have sang more of her greatest hits and sang longer. The Golden Nugget was awesome. Really enjoyed staying there.

  • As always she puts on a great show.

  • Tanya Tucker Review

by Linda on 10/1/19Golden Nugget - Biloxi - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

The chairs inside the concert area are set up too close together. Hardly any room to move down the aisles. People were stepping on each other as they were trying to get to their seats down the rows. Enjoyed the concert. Ms Tucker was very good.

  • GREAT CONCERT!!!

Tanya Tucker performs a great concert! Her voice is as good as ever and she sang all of her classics as well as a few of her newest songs. If you get a chance, don’t miss out on a truly memorable experience!

Tanya is one of my favorites and puts on an awesome show! We saw her last year and again this year......look forward to seeing her again next year. She even had us laughing many times in the show. Highly recommend seeing her.

  • Still can relate to a audience

by Connie on 10/1/19Golden Nugget - Biloxi - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

The venue (ballroom) at the Golden Nugget was great. Roomy and still accommodate 1500 fans. Tanya Tucker put on a great show and interacted with her fans. I was impressed. During the show, a veteran came upfront that was her escort in Koren many years ago. They both enjoy seeing each other and traveling down memory lane. Tanya also lets a young man come up on the stage and propose to his girlfriend. She also took the time to meet a blind young lady with her dog and talked about her own dog and how much she loves animals. My husband and I waited for about 15 minutes after the show to let the most of the crowd leave and this whole time Tanya was signing and meeting with fans, and seem to be in no hurry. This is the second time I have seen Tanya perform, once in the '80s and this weekend and she still is one of my favorites. I love her and her music.

  • Great show!!

Tanya is even better than ever. She sang most of her hits and a few from the new album. Her interaction with the audience was so nice to see. Nobody interacts with the audience anymore but Tanya did and it was incredible. Can’t wait to see her again!

  • Just an awesome performance. I really did enjoy seeing Tany

My second time to see Tanya and I believe this show was better than last years! She puts on a great show. I am already checking her schedule to see when I can catch another show.

  • Cramped

by Dee on 10/1/19Golden Nugget - Biloxi - BiloxiRating: 3 out of 5

Golden Nugget Biloxi- Tight floor seating. The chairs are spaced so close together theirs hardly elbow room with people kicking your chair throughout the event. Obviously trying to make as much money as possible by cramming as many chairs in the room as they can without considering customers comfort. People standing against the wall because they couldn't get to their seat, or didn't want to sit in the cramped condition.
