Tanya Tucker on Tour
From the beginning of her career, when she was a teenager who sounded like someone way beyond her years, Tanya Tucker has been blessed with an uncommonly expressive voice. Throughout her artistic evolution over the decades, that's never changed. To this day, when you catch the country legend in concert, you're listening to a singer who can tell a story in song like nobody else. And what's country music about, if not telling stories? Whether she's delivering some of her earliest hits, like "Delta Dawn" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)," digging into later material, or changing things up completely with covers of tunes by the likes of the Eagles or Bruce Springsteen, Tucker approaches each performance of every song like it's the most important one of her life — because in that moment, it is.
Tanya Tucker in Concert
Tanya Tucker has blazed a long and singular path in country music, starting in 1972 when the shockingly precocious singer, only 13 years old at the time, debuted with her hit "Delta Dawn" (before Helen Reddy ever recorded it). With a musical maturity that made her sound unquestionably adult, she churned out a string of No. 1 country hits while she was still in her teens, songs like "What's Your Mama's Name" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)." And of course the hits kept coming after she moved on to actual adulthood, with Tucker maintaining a presence in the Country Top 10 all the way into the late '90s. She's always had an outlaw attitude that set her apart from the pack — for instance, she released a rock 'n' roll album in 1979, when such things were unheard of for mainstream country stars. So her appeal has lasted, existing outside the constantly changing trends of country. For instance, when she released 2019's While I'm Livin', her first album in a decade, enough people were paying attention to ensure that the record made it into the Top 10 on the Country Album charts.

She puts on a good concert. Very down to earth singer. Would definitely go see her in concert again. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Just an amazing venue & performance. We totally enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday at Turning Stone, capped off by a wonderful evening with Tanya Tucker. Our thanks to all !
She is better than ever, loved every second totally entertained
The Room was great first time there. You could see everything. And Tanya Tucker was Amazing to see
Tanya was amazing. Fine voice and still has every bit of that sassy spunk. Carolina Theater was gorgeous, staff was accommodating. Would definitely catch another Tanya show and would definitely see another show at this location. Thumbs up!
Omg she was such a great performer. She was very friendly with the audience.
She can still belt out a song and her latest song is inspiring!
This was my first time using the Ticketmaster app to purchase my tickets, hold them u til the concert without misplacing and using them to gain access and the app was wonderful! So convenient. Very user friendly too. And I didn’t have to worry about forgetting them at home. Tanya Tucker was so good! I attended with my aunts as I grew up listening to Tanya with them. Who knew Tanya would still be killin’ it at her age. My only complaint is the sound on the back row was sometimes hard to hear when she was talking. Also, we were having fun, dancing and singing in the back row but we got yelled at by some lady and told us we needed to shut up and asked us if we knew we were at a concert. “Huh?” People dance at concerts. The concert had a mix of older folks and older folks that like to kick it up.
The show was fantastic. Tanya was as entertaining as ever. Her band is super talented and her backup singer awesome young ladies. The venue staff couldn’t of been any more Accommodating. Loved it!.
One of the best concerts I have ever been to. The only thing that really blew my mind was drink pricing. We purchased a couple beverages right before going into the auditorium for a decent price. Then later went to purchase again inside the room and the price was MUCH higher. I did not pay for them and turned around and went right outside the door again where they were MUCH cheaper. The venue needs to be consistent with their pricing both inside and right outside the doors. And to top it off, they wanted $3 for water when you could get it for free in the casino!!!
Fantastic in all ways, but one. The acoustics in the room, coupled with the sound mix and her low pitched voice, made it very difficult to impossible to understand what she was saying much of the time. Even the younger people around us were having some difficulty.
Attended this event with mom, who is 82 and we really enjoyed it. We enjoy live music but are not really interested in going to shows with a large crowd. The size of this venue is perfect for us. Tanya did not disappoint! She performed the songs we hoped to hear and her new song is great too! Very entertaining! Loved it! We were able to have a drink, enjoy the show and make our way in/out easily.
My first-ever country concert and I was so excited to have a special moment with my mother home had just gotten out of the hospital we were in the front row and got to see the icon legend Tanya Tucker she was extraordinary have vocals were amazing she sounds incredibly talented she was just amazing blew my mind I knew almost every song she Sang she has an excellent sense of humor she made herself right at home on that stage we need more artist who know how to sing that kind of talent and come to Durham more often, Tanya Tucker wow wow wow come back home to Durham North Carolina anytime I will happily be there anytime and reverie Lane did background vocals truly talented girls amazing vocals for me the music is one thing the vocals are what make the music pop and Tanya has an amazing band. Violinist knew what he was doing her guitar players or drum player keyboard that was the best concert I have been to ever
Tanya Tucker Still Has IT. She did an Amazing Performance and in the Carolina Theatre it’s up close and the perfectly sound quality lets you enjoy the time with the artist. I had an amazing time !! Thanks for a memorable night
Tanya Tucker was fabulous! 61 years old, showing her age ( like a lot of us) but that voice hasn’t changed in 50 years. Great concert, would see her again if she came back around. Carolina Theatre is a beautiful, classic setting for a night out to a wonderful show. If you get a chance, take in something at the theatre. It’s amazing.
Alex hall was outstanding and talked with a lot of people after his set. Tanya Tucker is a LEGEND! She told stories and sang outstandingly - she even let a guy interrupt her concert to propose to the love of his life.
Tanya put on a great performance. She is a truly classy lady, with morals that are based on her beliefs and her heart. Thanks for a great show, Tanya!
Tanya has still got it! Great performer!! Had a wonderful time.
Tanya connects well with her audience, great music and love her sassy personality.
