Tanya Tucker on Tour
From the beginning of her career, when she was a teenager who sounded like someone way beyond her years, Tanya Tucker has been blessed with an uncommonly expressive voice. Throughout her artistic evolution over the decades, that's never changed. To this day, when you catch the country legend in concert, you're listening to a singer who can tell a story in song like nobody else. And what's country music about, if not telling stories? Whether she's delivering some of her earliest hits, like "Delta Dawn" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)," digging into later material, or changing things up completely with covers of tunes by the likes of the Eagles or Bruce Springsteen, Tucker approaches each performance of every song like it's the most important one of her life — because in that moment, it is.
Tanya Tucker in Concert
Tanya Tucker has blazed a long and singular path in country music, starting in 1972 when the shockingly precocious singer, only 13 years old at the time, debuted with her hit "Delta Dawn" (before Helen Reddy ever recorded it). With a musical maturity that made her sound unquestionably adult, she churned out a string of No. 1 country hits while she was still in her teens, songs like "What's Your Mama's Name" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)." And of course the hits kept coming after she moved on to actual adulthood, with Tucker maintaining a presence in the Country Top 10 all the way into the late '90s. She's always had an outlaw attitude that set her apart from the pack — for instance, she released a rock 'n' roll album in 1979, when such things were unheard of for mainstream country stars. So her appeal has lasted, existing outside the constantly changing trends of country. For instance, when she released 2019's While I'm Livin', her first album in a decade, enough people were paying attention to ensure that the record made it into the Top 10 on the Country Album charts.
Staff and the acoustics were all top notch, thanks to all for a enjoyable evening.
Amazing entertainer, amazing voice and amazing experience at the Ryman! Tanya is better than she’s ever been!
Great entertainer who deserves a Grammy. Good atmosphere with good country music.
I've been to alot of concerts over the years and I have to say this was the best! Tanya is so energetic, funny, and so so talented! Love her! But as for the preshow that was pricey. It wasn't worth it. We did get a glass of wine and my husband got a beer. That was the most expensive alcohol that we have ever bought. They had other finger foods but it was not our thing and they said we could use their bathroom whenever we wanted during the concert. Well it was so far away from us. I'll never do it again. But the concert was amazing!
Tanya Tucker had old and new friends singing with her. She went on tour with Johnny Rodriguez when she was 13 or 14 years old. 47 or 48 years ago. It was so special to see them together. Billy Joe Shaver, and new singer Margo Price. Many others. This was her first Headlining tour at the Ryman. She is amazing. This was a historical event!
Well 1st of all the ticket price was amazingly reasonable for the promise of a Legend & friends show. And boy did she deliver! She was extraordinary. Music and sass! She gave us her all! My seat was perfect!
Tanya still has IT! Talented, funny, down to earth human being! Best concert performance I’ve seen in a while. 🌹🎤🎼😎🥰
Had a great time! Tanya was fun and feisty and all the surprise guest were a added treat.

Tanya Tucker was amazing!! By far the best performance at the Ryman to date!!
Stellar night that will long be remembered as one of the greatest! Tanya rocked every minute of the night and treated us to some of country musics greatest with guest performances from Billy Joe Shaver, Johnny Rodriguez, Martina McBride, Billie Ray Cyrus, Margo Price, Lee Ann Womack, and Dennis Quaid...not knowing who was joining the stage next had us on the edge of our seats. It was a beautiful, memorable evening that I will never forget. Tanya is still a bad ass of country! What a way to start the new decade!! 🙌
Tanya and friends show was absolutely a wonderful event. We were so surprised when Dennis Quaid walked out on the stage!!! My sister-in-law says” Best night ever”
She has such a distinctive voice and I love her new album. She really enjoys performing and it shows. The audience loved it!
The concert that Tanya put on was AWESOME! She sounded just as good that night as she did 20 years ago. She put on a great show with lots of surprises. I see her every time she comes to town.
Tanya Tucker at the Ryman Auditorium was unbelievably good. Tanya was energetic, her voice was spot on and the band and backup singers were great! The new songs, the old songs were all good. This show had several great guests with her that made the show even better and the crowd was great also. It’s so good to see her back on stage with new material to go along with her older songs. If you get a chance to see Tanya, do it you will not be disappointed! You may not get to see her at the Ryman but where ever you see her, she will put on a great show.
I've seen hundreds of live show, but had never seen Tanya and I think she's should get a lifetime achievement award for being the BEST entertainer EVER!!!!! She ROCKS and all the special guests were a great surprise!
Tanya was amazing. The special guests were just a bonus!! Will definitely go see her again!
What an awesome show! She still has it and the special guests were fantastic !
Auditorium was beautiful but the seating was tight on those benches. Tanya put on an amazing show but wish she would’ve sang more songs from the 80s and 90s They were 70s songs or brand new except for 4.
What an entertainer! Tanya knocked it out of the park. She is so real and engaging, sang all the hits and her new songs which were excellent.
