Single A baseball is still BASEBALL!! If you like to watch live baseball, get out and see it! BTW - you don't have to use online tickets brokers for these games. There were not 500 people in the stands. Just go right up to the ticket booth. Plenty of good seats.
Great stadium. A lot of concession stands with very professional attendants. Clean stadium, bathrooms, seating areas.
Saw my friend JJ play for the hammerheads. Also I won two free tickets to Busch Gardens!
the stadium is nice. kept clean. i was surprised that the didnt charge for parking for this event.
My family and I attended a recent Tarpons-Threshers game. We had amazing seats and a very fun time watching some great baseball. It was reasonably priced and lots of fun. My only complaint is that the beer selection was terrible — no craft beers on draft or in cans or bottles. Please expand the beer selection!
$20 all you can drink is worth price of admission. Game and stadium were great
The Tampa Tarpons really put effort into getting the crowd involved with silly games and other fun things. The stadium was updated and very clean. Concessions had a lot of options and it was a great time. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Had a great time, it just amazes me that more is not done by the marketing team to get the locals in the seats. Ticket prices are very reasonable. If you have to open the ball park anyway, get your local Westshore and downtown companies to come out. Give the tickets away, open up a bar and not just the one beer stand. Give tickets to the local schools , there are so many opportunities based on stadium location alone. I recently worked as a volunteer at a major spotting event that drew in excess of 275,000 out of state visitors and not one brochure or sign was displayed regarding the Tampa Tarpons. Nor did the Tampa Tarpons/Yankees organization welcome the visitors. I was based in the Marriott hotel as a Visit Tampa Bay volunteer and fielded so many questioning about he Yankee complex. Luckily I am an informed season ticket holder and was able to send people to the weekend opener. A big miss by marketing all the way around for Spring Training and Tampa Tarpon games. Big events are nice but people in the seats at games is nicer to develop a fan base.
The game was fun and not too crowded. Lots of great deals for the family to enjoy and the ticket prices were perfect.
The title says it all!!!! Cant wait to go again! Seats are amazing and they made it fun for the kids, who got to run the bases after the game.
Great atmosphere. Food and drinks reasonably priced.
Game was delayed due to thunderstorms. I was able to track the shifting start time via Twitter so our group of adults and little kids didnt wait at stadium in the rain. Fireworks show after the game topped off a perfect 4th of July celebration. We’ll catch another game soon. Go Tarpons!
Absolutely the worse. Stadium less than half full. Tampa Tarpons did little to promote game or make it fan friendly. No events for fans. Have been to 10 minor league all star games at all levels and have had FANtastic experiences. These folks had no clue how to host this type of event.
We greatly enjoyed our time at Steinbrenner Field watching the home run derby. It was a smaller event so not all concession were open but a few were. Everyone that works at the field was friendly. Nice stadium, parking was decent but definitely get there early.
I was shocked with the amount of people who attended. I wish they would advertise more in other area. We live in Hernando County and attended the games on Monday and Wednesday. Monday had roughly 125 people Wednesday not much more. I did notice 2 gentlemen received at least 12 balls or more. There was small children looking and waiting for balls. I didn't understand why they gave grown men so many balls. We sat it the same seats on Monday and Wednesday. If you visit once you will definitely return. It's a beautiful stadium and they do activities with the children. We hope to come again.
Excellent venue for seeing minor league baseball. Location of parking lot not intuitive as it looked like it was only for handicap parking.
well very disappointing was like a grade school and preschool playground with a baseball game in the distance..parents dont watch their kids anymore apparently, just bring them to a ball park let them run wild. skipped the next game wasting my money as it was such a bad experience. If kids dont watch or enjoy the game take them somewhere else so they can be little animals and let people who want to watch and enjoy the game do so. If you do not want to enjoy minor league baseball and enjoy having kids running and screaming all over the place with no supervision then this is for you. Facility is great but the atmosphere and being able to enjoy the game, that was horrible.
Free Parking, great seats. Love seeing the ball chasers.
A favorite childhood pastime shared with my grown children. Very affordable and entertaining.
