Facility, great. Game, very good team. Value, great. This is a terrific, inexpensive evening of quality entertainment. I'll be going often.
I brought six French nationals to the game on Sunday, April 24, and spent the afternoon trying to explain what was going on in my limited French and their limited English. It was a wonderful afternoon for them and me because they didn't know anything about the game beforehand, the score was close until the ninth inning, and there were home runs and stolen bases. Lots of room for dialog and gestures, lots of time to explain why a foul ball can't be counted as the third strike, and giving up entirely on an explanation of the infield fly rule. They loved the beer and hotdogs and learned how to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" -- more or less.
My first game at George Steinbrenner Field. It was a great experience and I will do it again. The game was interesting and the facilities were fantastic, all for an extremely reasonable price!
I enjoyed the game and the stadium is great, but the food service was terrible.
Such a beautiful complex and memorabilia availability and salute to past Yankees. But the lack of food choices was quite shocking. Only 1 food stand and 1 snack stand were open. 2 other food stands that looked like they had variety were closed. The last trip to the Clearwater Threshers ballpark was a much different experience
Had a great time with my son watching the Tampa Yankees beat the Lakeland Flying Tigers at Steinbrenner Field. The facility is very clean and welcoming, down to the smallest detail. We sat on the home side of the infield and all of the players were generous in their time for autographs with the kids. There were fan participation activities and raffles throughout the game. It's very easy to get in and out as far as parking is concerned, and there's a fantastic gift/souvenir shop with just about anything you could want. Awesome experience!
while the level of play was fair, the surroundings were top notch, and\, of course, historic. real nice stadium, and staff. concessions were good too, BUT need to change that awful beer.
The T-Yanks do a great job giving you an absurd value for the tiny bit of money paid. Between my participation in the hot dog eating contest, the food truck rally, and the various other 4th of July events, we managed to have the best possible experience. We were rained out but at no point did the management make us feel anything but welcome and cared for. Also, where else in the world can you watch MLB Players (on rehab assignments) for 4-6 bucks?
The seating was equal to any major league park. However it was a bit disappointing to only have one refreshment stand available on the other side of the park. Also since it was typical Florida weather, hot and sunny, I would suggest the stadium install misting stations for the fans comfort.
The stadium is very nice. We had a good time. It seems like a very family friendly place. The food was good but the selection was limited. Overall it was very enjoy able.
Excellent seats, fun game, great time had by all! Thank you!
I had a blast with my two girls. They had a lot of fun things for the kids to keep the engage like a bounce house. Give aways. And an awesome Lego stadium and we were In a good section with fun people.
My first time at the Steinbrenner field. Had such a great time at this beautiful place! I love baseball and this experience just encouraged my love for the game.
Thank you Tampa Yankees for hosting the first annual Autism Awareness Night. It was great to be with other families, be outdoors, and enjoying an American tradition like baseball. The concessions were great. The food was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being able to see a professional game and the tickets were so reasonably priced that we will be coming back next season.
Excellent ball game. Great seats, front row behind Threshers dugout! Great come back by Clearwater in the ninth inning. Food was a little expensive ($12 more than the tickets). Overall, I plan on going to a lot more games, but will be sure to fill up prior to going.
Fantastic seats, great price, very pleased with the overall experience...will come back!
Back to back AA ball in a week.. The Jax Suns field has it all over Steinbrenner field hands down and I'm a Yankee fan. Jax has vendors like a major league game constantly working the stands and the ticket price is comprobable. Also sitting on the third base reserved front row seats.. You can hardly see the scoreboard showing the count, score, etc. It should be near the three flags in center field. My opinion.. You asked for a rating.
Throughout this event, it was evident that the employees were bored as they played on their iPhones and paid little attention to the needs of the customers. Very little interaction with the fans and when asked for assistance, they appeared annoyed that you were interrupting them during what was their WORK hours but they felt was instead their "fun and games" time. Would NOT recommend to a friend!
Greatt family outing and opportunity to support up and coming young players. One recommended note...do not go when a concert is scheduled accross the street. Horribly loud sound system caused us to leave during the 5th inning. Very disrespectful of event planners and county government towards ball players and their supporters.
