1st time being at the stadium new to the area. Seats were great… easy to get into the stadium from the freeway. Great parking ease for ADA guests.
Perfect weather, perfect game (except the loss). The stadium was great!
Always a fun family event and the fireworks are awesome!
I wondered why there wasn't more spectators at this Celebrity all star softball game the Geno put on since this was his 2nd one. Now I know, I left it at the Top of the 4th inning. Wasn't worth staying. No umpire. They couldn't keep track of how many outs. The other team dropping or missing easy throws so the score could be more even or in Geno's favor. Really bad when a comedian can out bat the celebrity sports persons. What was a nice surprise is Seattle Chief Diaz is a good softball player.
Enjoyed watching the home run derby. Good game. Some of the celebrities can play. Seattle police chief Diaz has a great swing. Definitely will go next year.
We went to the Seattle Celebrity All Star softball game on June 24, 2023 and had the best time! My original purchased seat was broken so I went to see April in Guest Services who made sure my husband and I were assigned different seats. The players had so much fun playing and their joy was infectious. The stadium food was also very good and better than what I get at Lumen, T Mobile or Husky stadium. Looking forward to going again next year.
Entry from the rear parking lot requires lots of steep stairs to get to the seats. Need more ramps or replace stairs with ramps. If you are not a season ticket holder your choice of seats has very tight leg room. For those of us with joint replacements, arthritis, and other mobility issues sitting with little to no leg room is agony. Stadium is beautiful. We were season ticket holders for many years but health issues caused us to relinquish. Wish there were more reserved seat options for single game purchase.
This was the first time sitting in accessible seating, but my friend had to leave in the 7th inning as the seats were so uncomfortable...and he is a diehard fan, so it was sad. One thing that was new was the concession stands put up those snake line holders...so the lines moved so much smoother and faster! Whoever had this idea, I hope they were given a bonus, the lines were always slow and there was a bunch of cutting. So much nicer now. The ballpark was beautiful and I appreciated the ushers walking around and wiping down the wet seats when new people would arrive. I hadn't thought to bring something to wipe down seats.
Took our 5 year old grandson to the game, and we all loved it!!!
This is a nice old (but renovated) minor league ballpark. The staff was helpful. The food options were excellent.
no contest running bases, no baby elephant walk, no mock fight with umpire in other words just baseball no cookies
If you you enjoy baseball and family time this is a must for you. There is a playground for kids to enjoy along with many different activites during the game. Delicious food and drink options throughout the park. During the summer every Friday night after the game they have a fireworks show. Loved it!
The staff are very friendly. They keep everything very clean. The food is really good. Never a dull moment at the ballgame 😊
I love an open air baseball stadium. Parking was a challenge, but I took the advise of arriving hour early and had plenty of time use the men’s room, grab a cold one and find my seat before the game started. The Rainers got off to a rough start, but they sure made it worth staying all 9 innings. There were many choices of food and beverages to enjoy. The Friday night fireworks show was an awesome finish to a great night at the ballpark. I’m already planning on going to more games this summer. Go Rainiers!
Great day for a baseball game. Facilities were excellent. Many food and beverage options. Seats were awesome. Restrooms clean and grounds well maintained.
Cheney stadium isb by far one kf my favorite parks! Ushers are always helpful and kind!
Over all the view is amazing not a bad seat in the house. The experience was disminished with loss of their long time hype man not entertaining the crowd during game down times. The crew really needs to pick up the slack or find a new person with the energy needed to carry a slow game..
It was almost 90 degrees on Mother’s Day. A 1:35 PM game for the Rainiers. Our seats were in the shade, row 13 in section D. We lost the game, but had a great time. Good variety of food vendors, nice family vibe. Close to the action at the cozy confines of Cheney Stadium.
Cheney Stadium, home of the Tacoma Rainiers, is a family friendly ballpark while also catering to the true sports fan. There is not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of excellent food selections. Besides the standard hot dogs, pretzels and peanuts, there are fish and chips, fish tacos, seafood chowder, chicken wings on the bone, and lots more. Good selection of beers and seltzers too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Easy parking, only $10 but there is free parking is you can walk a bit. Easy to get to the park via the local bus #2 on South 19th too. The Team Shop has all the Rainiers gear and trinkets you can imagine. The score board is a bit hard to read especially in the afternoon sun and the video screen could be bigger. The Rainiers' mascot Rhubarb the Moose and the sax playing guerrilla are a hit! The announcer was "asleep at the wheel" and either missed the action or was silent when things needed to be explained to the audience. But all-in-all, a good time was had by all.
The lower parking lot was fun, and the attendees could “not recommend where to go”. Then the lines to both get IN the stadium AND purchase any concessions was ridiculously long. Extremely unorganized for such a busy day.
