About

Tab Benoit is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as 5 Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.  He has recorded and/or performed with Junior Wells, George Porter Jr, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Billy Joe Shaver, Maria Muldaur, James Cotton, Cyril Neville, Kenny Aronoff, Allen Toussaint, Kim Wilson, Jimmy Thackery, Charlie Musslewhite, Kenny Neal, Chris Layton, Ivan Neville, Jimmy Hall, Jim Lauderdale, Anders Osborne, and Alvin Youngblood Hart to name a few. Tab's accomplishments as a musician are matched only by his devotion to the environmental health of his native Louisiana wetlands. Benoit is the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to preserve the coastal waters of his home state. In 2010, he received the Governor's Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Benoit also starred in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina's effects and a call to protect and restore the wetlands.

  • Fantastic ⭐️ Great venue, amazing talent!

by eon on 7/26/25Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

As my husband would say, “yeah, the man’s kind of a badass.” We had a great time and great seats from anywhere 🙌🏼

  • We were disappointed

by Wayne on 7/26/25Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

All of the songs sounded pretty much the same: just a slight melody (a few lyrics) and then a hodge-podge of very fast riffs on the guitar, then repeat to the next unrecognizable song. This was a far contrast to seeing him a few years ago in Tacoma at Jazz Bones, a concert that we enjoyed. I was very disappointed that he didn't play any of his "signature"songs like: "Night Train to Nashville", "Lost in your Lovin", New Orleans Ladies, etc. My wife and I were very disappointed, we won't be going to any future Tab Benoit concerts.,

He never disappoints! Neptune Theater was a good venue! Bring him back soon!

  • Awesome concert!

by Raiderman on 6/18/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 40th Tab Benoit show. He and the band always put on a great performance. Tab constantly changes the way he performs some of his songs which makes for a unique concert each time. I really like the new album so I personally would have liked to hear more off of that, maybe at the next concert in 2 months. If you have a chance to see TAB, run at the chance of seeing him it will be a night to remember.

  • Cooldude

by Cooldude Jr on 6/17/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Taftis a excellent venue, Tan and his band are professional performers Tabs guitar skill is amazing

  • Tab NEVER disappoints

    by Mcbach01 on 6/17/25Taft Theatre - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

A true entertainer from start to finish ... getting the very most out of a very stripped down guitar set-up and blistering vocals all while clearly having a great time...it can't be beat. And the entire band just clicks - I would have sat through 2 more hours if he'd have kept playing!

  • Yeah Tab

by Gnatx on 6/15/25Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Bijou Theatre Knoxville Tn off the hook show with Tab Benoit.. seen him once before last year at the Bijou great show it’s not a fluke his opening act was really good also great guitar playing so for a great show go listen to some Tab Benoit

  • Not exactly what I expected

by jsmith on 6/15/25Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I've heard a lot of his music on Pandora and that is what I expected. Tab is an excellent guitar player, but what seemed like marathon guitar solos got a little repetitive after a while. I would have liked to have heard more of the vocal tracks from his cds. He has a great voice and can wear out a guitar. I enjoyed the concert but would have liked some of his other songs mixed in.

  • The whole night was amazing. The whole venue was amazing

by Amazing experience! on 6/15/25Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The whole night was amazing. The whole night and venue was incredible!

  • Wow can't wait for next year

by Lee on 6/15/25Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. What a talented band. The opening act was just as good and when both bands performed together it was amazing.

  • Tab Benoit brought the Blues!

by Curly Kim on 6/15/25Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Tab Benoit is not just a musician, he is truly an artist. He shared his unbelievable talents and energy with the audience. His performance was outstanding. And enjoying it in my favorite venue, The Bijou, was icing on the cake. If you have the opportunity to see him perform, do it without hesitation.

  • Great show!

by JC on 5/31/25The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

Tab and his band mates were awesome! A great show. Amazing guitar play (even for a drummer! LOL). His playing and showmanship were on point all night. Ghalia Volt was a great opener. A truly outstanding performance.

  • Tab and the Vogel were great.

by Rich on 5/31/25The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 5 out of 5

My first time at the Vogel and look forward to going back. Would like to see more blues guitarist there. Tab was great. I saw him once before. At that time he didn't say anything. At this show he was really funny and engaged with the audience. Would see him again. A great night.

  • A little more variety!

by Jim S. on 4/21/25Hard Rock Live - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

It would have been nice to have another voice and/or instrument to sprinkle a little more variety in the concert. The addition of a horn and/or keyboard would have been nice.

  • Phenomenal artist

by Cheryl on 4/21/25Hard Rock Live - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Tab Benoit is a phenomenal artist! He is an original in a world of imitators and a great musician and performer. Never disappoints. He puts everything he has into his music. He is a very personable artist and makes time for all of his fans.

  • Magic

by GZ on 4/21/25Hard Rock Live - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Loved every second. GREAT band, great sound, nice small venue. Bought a shirt!

  • Loud and Smokey

by Steve B on 4/21/25Hard Rock Live - BiloxiRating: 2 out of 5

All the songs sounded the same once he got past the opening lyrics and even in the back rows it was too loud to enjoy. Although there was no smoking in the auditorium, the smoke coming in from the bar and casino area was pervasive and made the experience less than enjoyable. Doubt we'll be coming back to the Hard Rock casino for anymore shows.

  • GREAT CONCERT!

by bstig on 4/21/25Hard Rock Live - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

LOVE Tab Benoit, always enjoy his shows, however our front row seats were a little disappointing. 2 big lights on the stage that were never turned on, yet right in my view!! :*( oh, and let's not forget the $9 beers, WOW!!
