Tab Benoit is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as 5 Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. He has recorded and/or performed with Junior Wells, George Porter Jr, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Billy Joe Shaver, Maria Muldaur, James Cotton, Cyril Neville, Kenny Aronoff, Allen Toussaint, Kim Wilson, Jimmy Thackery, Charlie Musslewhite, Kenny Neal, Chris Layton, Ivan Neville, Jimmy Hall, Jim Lauderdale, Anders Osborne, and Alvin Youngblood Hart to name a few. Tab's accomplishments as a musician are matched only by his devotion to the environmental health of his native Louisiana wetlands. Benoit is the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to preserve the coastal waters of his home state. In 2010, he received the Governor's Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Benoit also starred in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina's effects and a call to protect and restore the wetlands.
The Birchmere never disappoints with their great choice of performers/ quality service/decent food. Tan Benoit sounded great in this venue. We love his music and have followed him for a while. Glad he made it to Northern VA.
The Dirty Dozen Brass brought the rhythm and Tab Benoit brought the blues in the best kind of musical gumbo!

Had never seen him before and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I would definitely see him again. I even bought a T-shirt! My only complaint is not about him, but about the venue. I think it would be better for upgrades to actual seats be available prior to event. Many people I know would have gone to this show is they knew they could upgrade to a seat in advance because they are unable to stand for that amount of time.
First time at culture room. The bouncers were attentive kind and friendly. And well Tab Benoit you are amazing. Met his mom in the crowd. Didn’t realize you are one of seven and you play a bunch of different instruments. Would love to see that some time. Maybe on your next tour.
The concert was amazing! I loved the small intimate setting and Tab put on an amazing performance!

He is an amazing and under appreciated performer. He puts his soul into his music and gives 150%. Very much a top Tier guitarist with a beautiful soulful voice

First time seeing Tab. It was an awesome concert. Everyone played with all their heart. If you haven't seen Tab and the band I would highly recommend checking them out!
Tab was awesome his voice is great to go along with his superb guitar skills. Now as far as the venue Hard Rock has a fantastic sound system but the chairs setup out in front of the stage are WAY TOO close together every time anyone needed to exit the rows everyone had to either standup or even walk all the way out and then return to their own seats. Verrrrry distracting to everyone in the row and behind the rows etc. very easy fix!!!

This was my third time to see Tab perform live and, as always, he delivered. He is a great guitarist and singer. I love the way he interacts with the audience. He's down to earth and engaging, like we are sitting around having a beer and jamming.

Love Tab, can’t wait for him to come back to Seattle. The venue was terrible. He needs to play some where else and guest stars would be nice. Look in to St Michelle Winery in Woodinvill WA. Have a blues fest.
by the time of the encore. Tab Benoit has proven once again that he is a force to reckon with. After seeing Tab live over 20+ times, he just gets better...like a fine wine!
