Excellent concert - excellent venue! Will go to this venue again!
Have not seen him in concert before - fell in love with him tonight! I have most of his albums and will continue to buy anything he produces....
Tab never fails to deliver, even under the worst of conditions. He loves his craft and it shows. I've seen Tab at many different outdoor venues, but I enjoyed and, I think, so did he, the comfortable indoor setting at the Plaza Theatre. I didn't think I would, because I'm used to being able to get close to the stage, but I think the theatre setting made the whole crowd of attendees a little more restrained and therefore all of us could enjoy the show because no one was standing and blocking anyone's view. I think he felt comfortable and able to engaged the crowd in conversation. I do wish the set had been longer. At other venues, he plays up two hours, with a short break. I would travel just about any where in the state to see him, but it was nice to have him back in Orlando after such a long time. The Plaza Theatre should make him a regular on their calendar. Orlando needs more blues shows of his ilk.
Tab Benoit is a talented artist but neds to surround himself with band members that are of his level or at least include other musicians that can play harmonica another guitarist or even a B3 player. His energy level during the performance was great but the performance itself became boring due to lack of other instruments in the band. Otherwise, going acoustic in a small venue such as the Rhythm Room would be interesting.
Tab Benoit was in top form Sunday night at the Rhythm Room. He was smoking on the Fender Telecaster, as well as on the drums for a short time! I'm not sure who's older, Tab or his guitar! Tab played several songs from his most recent album, Night Train to Nashville. I had the good fortune to catch Tab play in Euless, Tx., about 9 years ago. He was absolutely great last night, just as he was back in Texas years ago.
Tab Benoit can sing and play well. But his 2 piece accompanists did not give him the warmth of his recordings, and he talked too much between songs.
totally awesome!! Tab really mixed well with the crowd was relaxed and seemed to be really enjoying himself.
he got colorado audience moving, way to go he is a great bluesman
Fantastic show. The Little Bear is an old building, very rustic and authentic, but the sound system was great and you can't beat it for the feeling of intimacy with the band. It felt like you were in someones living room watching a great band play. Benoit was fantastic. If you have never heard his music or his style I highly recommend it. The band itself was friendly and approachable, took many pictures with the audience, signed autographs and was very entertaining.
tab is one amazing gutarist, he sure knows how to JAM. Loved the Show. The drummer and Bass player was Awesome also
Tab Benoit was, as always, amazing! His music and his humor are well worth going to see. I love that he plays these small venues. It is so much more enjoyable and he is such a great guy and really interacts with the audience. A must see for any blues enthusiast.
The Slippery Noodle was a great place. The atmosphere was perfect for a blues musician. Tab was wonderful. He didn't leave the stage. We drove 3.5 hours to get here and were not disappointed.
Tab makes the blues of the bayou come alive.Off stage he has a love of the land and is involved in protecting it.Never a bad show. Will see again.
First time seeing Tab and my 1st time at the Slippery Noodle. Both are amazing. Tab is very genuine and awesome with his guitar. Had a fun and energetic bass guitarist also. I've never seen a large man move like that!
Tab started playing at 9:00 and was still playing at 11:30 when we left and had still not taken a break, the guy is a machine. He was outstanding!!!! Hard driving play with a band that is tight as any band I have seen.
I was not disappointed by this electrifying concert by the Tab Benoit trio. The guitar work, percussion, and vocals were phenomenal. Tab Benoit clearly sets out to entertain his audience without fail. Outstanding performance from start to finish. Tab Benoit is a must see for the blues music lover.
As always Tab Benoit puts on an amazing show! A must see show for all fans of not only The Blues but of all music.
I've seen Tab on many occasions and he always puts on a fantastic show. Never a dull moment with high energy blues. He's a great guitar player and and plays with pure passion. If you're a blues lover, don't miss an opportunity to see him. If you're not into the blues, you should see him anyway. He'll convert you.
