About

Tab Benoit is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as 5 Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.  He has recorded and/or performed with Junior Wells, George Porter Jr, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Billy Joe Shaver, Maria Muldaur, James Cotton, Cyril Neville, Kenny Aronoff, Allen Toussaint, Kim Wilson, Jimmy Thackery, Charlie Musslewhite, Kenny Neal, Chris Layton, Ivan Neville, Jimmy Hall, Jim Lauderdale, Anders Osborne, and Alvin Youngblood Hart to name a few. Tab's accomplishments as a musician are matched only by his devotion to the environmental health of his native Louisiana wetlands. Benoit is the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to preserve the coastal waters of his home state. In 2010, he received the Governor's Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Benoit also starred in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina's effects and a call to protect and restore the wetlands.

  • Tab is someone everyone should see at least once.

by Bill D on 10/27/25George Van Dusen Theatre at North Shore Center - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Tab countless times and will take every opportunity in the future to see him again. He never fails to put on a great show. I was with a friend who knew very little about him and saw him for the first time and loved it. He said that he would love to see him again. The same thing happens anytime I bring someone new to Tab.

  • Great concert!

by Kim on 10/27/25Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great concert! The band was spot on through the whole show and some minor equipment mishaps. Tab was wonderful. The Flagstar Strand is a small theater and was perfect for sound and visibility. It was a sold out show but still held the intimacy of a small venue. Highly recommend seeing Tab Benoit live!!

  • Tab is ALWAYS great ! And the venue was perfect !

The drinks were good, seats were comfy , we found free parking across the street and had a great dinner at a nearby recommended restaurant!

First time seeing Tab Benoit. What a showman. Sit back and enjoy..is one option..get up and move was another.. Yea, I had to move! Seats very comfortable for an art deco venue. Women's bathrooms large and modernized. The manager very present.and usher Bradley very willing to assist if need be. I will check in regularly. Great venue, plenty of parking within two blocks. Felt very safe. Pontiac, the new frontier. .

Truly a blessing to us all, Tab delivered a night of beautiful soulful blues/country vibes along with a happiness to be present along with others to enjoy and laugh together. Thanks Tab! Come back to Dey-twah often!

Wow came on strong at the start & never stopped! Would definitely see him again & recommend him to fellow blues lovers. We bought the album that night. We got to do a meet n greet at the end & such an interesting individual with his stories & enjoyed his charm/friendliness.

  • Not worth it

Not worth the price of tickets. Wish he played more of the songs from his roots.

Tab was excellent, as usual. Swamp blues at it's best.

  • More rock than blues

by JR on 8/3/25Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 4 out of 5

I was hoping for a more bluesy show. He has become very loud rock. While he definitely has a following for this, I really love his blues.

  • High voltage blues

This is the second time I’ve seen Tab live and he never disappoints. His rocking blues and his Cajun charm make for a unique and satisfying experience. Go see him if you get the chance!

My heart danced, I was mesmerized! Tab puts his soul into strumming those strings, and takes the audience on a magical musical journey! Thanks for entertaining me completely! I can’t wait till next time!! Plays that guitar with finesse! Thanks for the experience.

I particularly loved the artist we saw. The acoustics were great. Small venues are the best.

  • Tab Benoit

by Curtis Lowe on 7/28/25Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Tab is a phenomenal guitar player. He reminds me of Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, except he has a silky smooth Nah Orlands drawl. A great show!

by WRZ on 7/27/25Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Tab puts so much of himself into every song you can feel all of the emotion not only in the music but the expressions and body language. Truely a great artist.
