About

Switchfoot are a Grammy-winning rock band from San Diego, California. Formed in 1996 by brothers Jon and Tim Foreman and drummer Chad Butler, the group released three albums before gaining major label attention following several prominent syncs in the 2002 romantic drama A Walk to Remember. In 2003, Switchfoot released their breakout fourth album The Beautiful Letdown, which went triple-platinum behind the band’s first Hot 100-charting singles “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move.” Their 2005 follow-up, Nothing Is Sound, hit a career-peak No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and the band would log another three Top 10 albums with 2011’s Vice Verses, 2014’s Fading West and 2016’s Where the Light Shines Through. Additionally, Switchfoot have earned six No. 1s on the Top Christian Albums chart, and their 2009 effort Hello Hurricane nabbed the band’s first Grammy for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. In 2023, Switchfoot released The Beautiful Letdown (Our Version), a 20th anniversary re-recording via their self-run independent label, lowercase people records.

This show was phenomenal Jon Foreman did not disappoint, calling a newly married couple on stage and playing their wedding song to crowd surfing, shaking our hands and being his authentic self! The whole band was on point and it was a wonderful time had by all

by JLaw on 3/21/25Rating: 5 out of 5

The most humble, authentic, and talented rockers on stage. Been a fan since the beginning and now my teenage and adult kids are fans. We don’t miss a show when they are in town. Genuinely love these guys and the memories we’ve made over the years at their shows. Nothing but love!

  • Best show of the year Mpls = Switchfoot at Uptown Theatre

by GottaGoOtto on 10/22/24Uptown Theater Minneapolis - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Switchfoot returned to Minneapolis with a focus on their early 2000 album, noting with fond affection the fact that they played more in Mpls than their hometown back in the day. The energy of the band and crowd combined made this likely the most fun and exciting show for Mpls this year. Yes, this was not a large arena and was the much smaller Uptown Theatre and guess what that made it even better, especially with their great sound system, bar, and staff. Every person who left the joint knew they saw something truly rare and special. Switchfoot - if you know them, congrats! if you haven’t heard of their or their music, congrats - check them out, you will thank me later !

  • The Best Yet

    by mcat0789 on 10/22/24Uptown Theater Minneapolis - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Switchfoot over 20 times and honestly, this was the best show yet. The venue was amazing, not too big and not too small. I loved the fact that they had free water for us that do not drink. The staff at the venue were amazing and fun to chat with. Switchfoot themselves, always a class act! Jon always interacts with the crowd and I loved that they took requests from the crowd. The best part of a Switchfoot show? The fans. Everyone is so kind and easy to talk to. They all love the fact that you are there celebrating music together. If you ever have a chance, please see Switchfoot! They are 100/10 the best!

Switchfoot's 20th Anniversary concert was incredibly enjoyable. It was high energy and an encouraging evening. The Uptown is a great well run location. Great location to enjoy concerts in a not so big setting.

  • Top 3 concert for me

by RusLee on 10/19/24House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

The experience was incredible. Jon Foreman put on a great concert. The house of blues in New Orleans has such an intimate setting that you almost feel like you are part of the show. The sound and lights were perfect and only added to atmosphere. This was a bucket list concert for me and it did not disappoint. I was told by multiple people that have seen Switchfoot in concert before that they are amazing. Those people were absolutely correct. I am now one of those people telling other people the same thing. I highly recommend buying ticket to the few shows they have left.

by Chloe on 10/14/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Switchfoot is my favorite band so I was going to love it no matter what, but they are even better in concert than I imagined. Lots of energy and good music.

  • Beautiful Letdown Tour

by DJersey on 10/14/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Beautiful Letdown is easily one of Switchfoot's best album and it was easily one of their best concerts I've been to. First time for them playing the complete album and you forget how many awesome songs there were on this album. As an encore they played some great older songs too. The Tennessee Theater is a wonderful venue!

  • Amazing show!

by Mitchell on 10/14/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Whether you are a big Switchfoot fan or not, they always put on an Incredible show. It’s more of an experience rather than just a show. The Venue staff were all very helpful and friendly.

  • Switchfoot was incredible!

by Celestial on 10/14/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Switchfoot is one of the best bands hands down, they know how to rock and keep the crowd going! Being in the Tennessee theatre gives off a lovely vibe too. Thank you Switchfoot for a wonderful experience, it was my son’s first concert and he had a blast! 💕

  • They were excellent

    by Rad_Road_Runner on 10/13/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Switchfoot was amazing, as they always are. The only negative was with the sound, it wasn't forward enough cause it to be stuck in the stage bubble and then not flowing properly through the theater. Other than that it was great

  • Creative Lyrics and Pure Talent

    by Sabby C on 10/13/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Such a creative way to make a positive impact on the world, through wholesome lyrics. I love rock, so I appreciate their acoustic talent. This was my second time watching them live, in preparation to bringing my nephew. And Jon, the lead singer, has always been so intentional about getting in the crowd and really appreciating the fans.

  • Mom & son

    by T & A on 10/12/24Bronson Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

We had such a great time. I took my 9 year old son and it was a beautiful bonding experience. The band is amazing, the lyrics are so meaningful and they connected with the crowd so well, holding hands and singing in the middle of the crowd. My son and I were holding hands and swaying and dancing and smiling and giggling together. Near the end of the show, we looked at some merch and we were given a free hoodie and a free poster! These will remind me of this amazing experience. I love live music and switchfoot was an amazing show and experience! Highly recommend! <3
