We initially hesitated on this and decided a little too late to get great seats but thankfully most seats in Cobb are good seats. Super happy we got to see this performance. Acting, singing and story line were great. Next time through we will not hesitate to jump in early for tickets. A memorable performance by all. I especially liked the Sailors singing. What a wonderful voice.
Love the production from beginning to end. Took my 23 year old daughter and she said it was the best play she'd ever seen.
My daughter and I had been looking forward to seeing this production since we saw it announced last summer...it did not disappoint!!
If you’ve never been to an Atlanta Opera performance you’re missing out on a local gem. The Sweeney Todd production was simply unforgettable. We look forward to attending more shows this season
I have been going to productions of Sweeney Todd whenever the chance arises. Having seen about a dozen professional renditions of Sondheim's masterpiece, I have to say that the CSUN production was better than most. The voices were all more than up to the task, nearly every word being discernible, the innovative staging really got the story across and the orchestra was top notch. This is truly a great bargain for a wonderful musical.
I thought the show was amazing. Dont care mich for the theatre it was held in. But the piece made me forget about it. From the songs to the makeup.. absolutely amazing.
Not what we expected for the price! Captivating rendition, We were easily transported to London and to each of the characters delivery of their roles. Impressive scene changes done by all the cast, flexibility of a cast dealing with limited resources.
Sweeney Todd was very enjoyable. The cast was incredibly talented. The chorus and orchestra was great. Very well done. The Saenger Theatre is delightful.
I loved this opera! It was my first ever, and it was closer to a musical than an opera. We had great seats (middle front row), and everyone was spectacular up close. The costumes, makeup, sets, etc. Everything! Ms. Lovett was amazing, along with all the other characters, but she was the main star in my heart. Great job, everyone!
They did such an amazing job. The theater was gorgeous, and finding our seats was very easy thanks to the help of the staff. The show itself was unforgettable. Every song was perfect!
