I did not expect that it is so marvelous show.I visited many times Metropolitan , but live translation is surprisingly interesting. You can see faces of singers, you can see them like play-actors. And you can get a lot of information what is behind the curtain.
The excellent singing, wonderful characterizations, and modernized retro-Soviet sets and costuming made this classic opera even more enjoyable and memorable than when I saw the opera in Russia.
Orchestra, singers, and stage design were all superb. Bravo!
not what Pushkin would have it !!!! This show killed the poetic feeling!!!
