Lots of FUN for little ones

by btr69 on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

This show was a cute musical version of the Super Why tv show for kids. It was around one and a half hours long with a 10-15 minute intermission so little kids and toddlers will not lose interest and will stay focused. My 3 year old son loved it . There are a few loud noises that might startle babies so I dont recommend for kids under 2-3 years old.

    Great show!

by StaceyinIndiana on 5/4/13Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The show was very entertaining for our two year old and the right length. He loves Super Why so loved it! My only complaint is it started at 3:30 and we raced to get there because of nap time. We really had a good time!

Show was too short and somewhat like the cartoon. Children were interested and had fun finding super letters.

    SuperWhy at the Beacon!

by DayMikeNYC on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

We took our grandchildren and son and daughter in law to this show at the Beacon Theater .We were celebrating our 4 year old beautiful granddaughter's birthday! Our grandchildren were all excited and really loved the show! The only complaint I have is that the performance is only 1 hour long and has an intermission. I really don't see the need for an intermission when the peformance length is not long, and the tickets were not that inexpensive. But then again, you can't put a price on making a child happy! Abby will have special memories of her 4th Birthday! All in all it was an excellent show and we all really enjoyed it. I would recommend this show.

    SAVE YOUR MONEY

by SlickKev on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

The characters all wore oversized head pieces that didn't change when they were "talking" or singing" and the producers thought, therefore that they could get away with no live singing or dialogue -- everything was taped. Badly. The "set" consisted of a screen behind the characters. The storyline made no sense. The producers must have tried to save even more money by hiring crappy singers to record the songs because the singing was horrible. If your kid really likes Super Why then spend the dough to buy the videos and toys. You'll probably spend less and your kid will be much happier.

Super Why awesome but too short

by Greggo72 on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

My 27 month old daughter absolutely loved the show because she is a huge Super Why fan. That said, they started the show promptly at 6 pm even though there were still throngs of people outside at the Will Call Window. Perhaps they could have waited. The show was way too short for the money we paid. If you take out intermission, it was barely an hour.

    Super Why was great!

by Kim159 on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

Show was completely engaging and fun for all! My four year old enjoyed every minute of it and now asks if we're going back to see Super Why again. Hope there are many shows to come.

Unless you get a discount on tickets, don't attend

by Jessika1002 on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

Was supposed to start at 6pm, show started at 6:20pm. Intermission was at 6:45pm til 7pm then show ended half an hour later.. Definitely not worth paying 50 some odd dollars. Didn't leave the theatre satisfied although my daughter did love the show... Didn't like that it looked as if it was a girl in the Super Why costume because the way the character was moving was just not how the character on the show acts... I would not recommend this show unless you get an amazing discount!

    Intermission?

by Basmom on 5/4/13Beacon Theatre - New York

Super Why was adorable, but I got the feeling the show producers forgot who their audience was. The show was set for 6pm. It started around 620. After 25 min, there was a 15-20 min intermission. Followed by 20 more minutes. So the show ended after 730. For a show for toddlers, starting late, with a long intermission, its really not considering your audience. So many kids were exhausted walking out. Just want future parents to know, while they say 50min performance, its more like 90 and plan accordingly with your kids.

    Super WHY Live - YES!

by CultureMommy on 5/3/13Warner Theatre - Washington

I took my 5 year old son and 4 year old nephew to see Super WHY Live. They absolutely loved it! Seeing the characters live, the high energy, the colorful stage set-up, singing along with the great familiar songs. . . what's not to like?! They were captivated from the beginning to the end. Great message at the end, but I won't tell you because it'll blow the puzzle. The show itself was just the right length. After about 35 minutes a perfectly-timed intermission happens which allows for potty breaks and time to get out of your chairs and get the wiggles out. The show (including intermission) lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes. PERFECT! If you're able to catch it in your town, I would highly recommend that you take your little one(s) to see it.

Spactular family time w/ Super Why!

by Superday on 4/30/13Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

My son is almost 3 and he doesn't sit we'll through a movie. He couldn't take his eyes off the stage. He loved the show! Only problem is he wants to go back to Super Why's house. Well worth the money. Would go again if got the chance. You won't be disappointed.

    Amazing show

by bobbinbernie on 4/29/13Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

Our 2 year old loved the show. He kept his eyes on the stage the entire time. I would highly reccommend taking your little ones to see this show. He does not say a lot of words yet, but he was yelling out with all the other little ones at the right times. The line for the soveniers was too long. Maybe they should have had a couple of tables with the same items to help speed things along. Or had a table set up that you could see what was available once you got to the main table. You stood in line a long time and when it got to your turn for your purchase, you were a bit rushed as they were very busy.

    Not worth the money

by MommaBear94 on 4/29/13Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

I was not impressed at all. Accoustics were mediocre at best. Theatrics were not at all what I expected for a show of this magnitude. We have seen Sesame Street several times and The Wriggles and it was no where near that level of a show. The timing for the interactiveness with the children was timed properly. It did not give time for the children to come up with the answer. It started 25 minutes late and only lasted an hour.

Super Why was only Mediocre Why.

by JEB407 on 4/29/13Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

The Event itself was probably perfect for the age group attended though it was 45 minutes late starting which when you have 2-5 year olds, it is an extremely long time to wait for a show to start. The price of merchandise was highly inflated but that is to be expected. The line for the merchandise was very long and since I thought the show would start at 3:30 pm I opted NOT to stand in line before the show. I did go out at intermission and stand in a still long line. Until I reached the front of the table, there was only one person behind the table....REALLY!?! I second individual did join the first as I reached the front. I bought a very cheaply made cape and mask for $30 and a light-up toy for $20. I did say OVERPRICED! We made extra for VIP which included a lame "meet the Super Why Team" after wards. It was marketing for their new cereal.

Was good and our 2 year old enjoyed it.

It was fun and a good family event, it seemed a bit short and expensive.

    My granddaughter loved it.

by Whales59 on 4/29/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The show was 1 1/2 hour long with a 15 to 20 minute intermission. There were several people around us that agreed the intermission was not necessary for that length of show. There were children very upset and didn't understand they were coming back.

I took my 4 year old daughter, and she loved it. The bright lights and music really kept her attention. She wanted to go back and take her little brother.
