Opening Night fueled by Gatorade is the traditional "media day" that the NFL hosts for thousands of members of the media and fans. Fans can be at Allegiant Stadium, home to Super Bowl LVIII, to see the Super Bowl LVIII participating teams in public for the first time prior to Super Bowl Sunday. In-person for live entertainment and exclusive interviews from the stars of Super Bowl LVIII for their only public appearance before the big game. Doors open at 3:00 PM PT and the first team takes the stage at 5:00 PM PT.
Awesome. Really large alot of people. Some lines, fast some rides, slow. unpredictable
Initially, I was excited to go opening night as I was in Vegas for the week. As I got there, for one, since everything is blocked off, the walk to the stadium was very long. As I was walking in, I saw many fans walking out - Which made me curious as to why. When I finally got in, there was open seating and I was able to sit in section 103, in the 2nd to last row. I ended up staying for all of about 10 minutes due to not being able to hear, and not being able to see anything going on. It was difficult to see where the interviewer was although there were screens, but the screens seemed too small. There were also multiple interviews going on, so if you wanted to hear one specific interviewers full interview, this was impossible to do so. All in all, I think that it was not worth the time or the money spent - We did get a free Gatarade water heading out so I guess that’s worth something.
For $30 all-in, it was worth it to be inside the stadium and see the teams live in person. However the photo-ops, autograph signings, and other promised fan activations were lackluster. Information about what there was to see and do, as well as how to find them, was hard to come by. The Onepass app did not provide much information once inside, as was promised. You had to seek out personnel to learn about anything. (Although most of the staff were friendly and helpful.) There were so few photo ops and activations, that there were always long lines at the popular ones. For an event only lasting 4 hours, to spend 45minutes or more in line waiting for anything felt like a waste of time. I spent almost 2 hours of my time there waiting in lines, and that was for a total of 3 things. I missed several of the events happening on the field because of this. The NFL should have made the full list of activities and the schedule of events more available to guests, so we could plan our evening accordingly. Some activations were not available the entire length of the event, such as getting a photo with the Lombardi trophy. Many guests were turned away because the line was cut off more than once. There were long lines just to shop for merchandise. If the ticket had cost any more than it did, the event would not have been worth it.
It’s more exciting if you are a fan of one of the teams playing in the Super Bowl. It was very organized but autograph lines are over an hour or 2. Still a great experience
Everything about the show, and all the interviews and entertainment was exceptional. But, entering from Mandalay Bay Rd was unnecessarily problematic. All were funneled through an initial inspection area for the bags they carried. While the process was familiar for everyone who regularly attends NFL games, quite a few women brought handbags that were too large. Unfortunately, this checkpoint was several hundred yards away from the exit doors at Mandalay Bay. This meant that people were walking a long distance, uphill, in the cold, waiting in line for quite a while to get to the front of a line and then learn that they would have to turn around and go back to the hotel and check their back. This caused a large an unnecessary backup. The simple solution would’ve been to have some signage. Or, even better, simply have people at the exit from Mandalay Bay letting everyone what bags would be allowed and what needed to be checked.
It was an excellent opportunity for fans who couldn't afford Super Bowl tickets to have a chance to cheer for their favorite team and experience Allegiant Stadium.
It was crazy!! Not a fan of either team but I’m always a fan of the Super Bowl! The turn out was wild. Vegas is so lit.
The stadium appearance is impressive the very moment you lay eyes on it. It is equally stunning inside as well. There is tech all throughout the facility. I must say, opening night was filled with high energy and thrills. Overall, the NFL delivered a top notch experience for this fist timer. Awesome time!!!
The event was very boring, I wouldn’t attend again.
We bought the locals' half-price tix, and it was worth it to be able to be a part of the Super Bowl festivities. I did have trouble accessing our tickets in the app, and there was no one available to help at the entry, so that was stressful. The highlight was taking a picture with the Lombardi trophy.
Everyone working the event was super friendly and helpful. The event was described well and enjoyable, if overpriced for what it provided.
omg i got there early and got second row in the perfect place to see andy reid, patrick mahomes, and travis kelce but then i won an "upgrade"to go on the field which ended up being in a corraled area with about 60 other people on the opposite side of my original seats where you couldn't see anything. when we finally found a good spot to see the players near where they entered through they made us leave so the next group could come down. ended up leaving immediately after. spent more time in line to go inside and to go down to the "field"than anything else
Super Bowl in Las Vegas for the first time, new stadium perfect mix for an exciting time; Unfortunately the NFL opening night was everything but that. The players were kept away from the fans, the sound was horrible and the whole time most of the attendees were watching the big screen to try to understand what was going on. As a proud resident of Las Vegas I hope the main event lives upto what we and the world expect from a Vegas show.
Fell down some stairs because there wasn’t a light in a certain area. They need better lighting in certain parts of the stadium.
I was bored most of the time there. There were no activities other than the cheerleaders, Blue men and the introduction of the teams that were interesting to me. There should have been some activity that involved the spectators.
I enjoyed the evening. Up close to the pressers with the app. I could hear all the players and coach talk to the press. This was interesting to me.
My husband and I happened to be in town for a few days. We didn’t really know what opening night was about, but have always wanted to check out allegiant Stadium, and haven’t made the commitment to go to a game there. This was a great way to see the stadium. And we are chiefs fans, so it was extra special. There were some issues with our tickets pulling up and a very big line of us had to go to the “ticket resolution” tent, which delayed us getting in by an additional 30 to 45 minutes, so we were pretty disappointed in that. Otherwise, it was a great experience!
I enjoyed going to the Legion Stadium. It was a nice evening, however, was not able to hear the players talk on screen was disappointed thought would be able to get autographs or something or have a close-up more of the players, but it made a nice celebration for us to go and participate in Super Bowl.
We have an amazing time at Opening Night. Plenty of staff to assist along the way. Lots for food and drink options. Best part is we won VIP field access so our night was epic!! Go NINERS!!!!
Opening Night was so fun. Tons of photo ops! Well organized.
