Had a great time @ the show! The crowd was great and the pits were crazy! I drove 16 hours round trip to make it & I have not regrets except for not going crowd surfing! I had also never been to the Grove and LOVE this venue. It's very spacious and you won't feel squished. It's very easy to get around the venue and there's plenty of space to walk around and hang out w/people between bands. Overall I had a wonderful time and can't wait for Summer Slaughter 2012!

    Dying fetus should have headlined!!!

by JoeDale on 7/25/11City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

Pretty solid line-up... Especially for the younger guys. I expected more death metal style bands but I know promoters pick what's popular, not what is most brutal. Whitechapel would've been a great band 15 years ago, but I think their style along with the entire new genre of metal is very amateur and grossly conventional. My favorite was dying fetus and it seemed like they were the crowd pleasers as well... They deserved more than 30 minutes.

Summer Slaughter kicked some major A>>>>>

by ozrocks on 7/25/11City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim

The summer slaughter tour was great. So many bands, so much heavy metal it rocked. The local bands came out and gave it their best and the headliners certainly rocked the crowd. It was good to see the local bands getting some play time for the fans. Really enjoyed the show, it was one day of full metal, great day!!!

    Summer Slaughter was AWESOME!

by Jax2TheMax on 8/24/10The Fillmore - San Francisco

Can't wait until next year!!! You need to have a band named "TRUTH DECAYS" on the line up next year though. They're a Bay Area band. Check em out on MySpace or FaceBook.

    Summer Slaughter 2010 Minneapolis

by eronaldcpa on 8/11/10First Avenue - Minneapolis

This event was better overall in 2009. But, if you like the heavy stuf, it's hard to go wrong. In my personal opinion, the line-up starts out strong, gets weak in the midle, but the day ends with the last two amazing bands. But it's a fun concert with great music. Lots of growling, blast beast and triggered bass drums. What's not to love?

    Insane

by Drummer12345 on 7/28/10Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Sickest concert ever. The whole pit opened up on veil of maya. Carnifex and Decrepit birth killed it.

    Decapitated rules.

by CoreBandsSuck666 on 7/27/10Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

The sound was crappy, they tried to mix death metal and terrible core music, Decapitated and Vital Remains between those acts were nothing but tight girl pants and repetitive breakdown after breakdown after breakdown after breakdown. I cant emphasize how much I dont like breakdowns my metal. The best sounding band was The Faceless very clear. But rest of the show was muddy and unrecognizable. Screw core metal, and Death Metal dominates \m/

    Phenomenal

by MetalGod227 on 7/27/10Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

I've been to a lot of concerts, but few had such a heavy hitting line up as this one. Despite a few local so-so opening bands, the main bands were phenomenal. I was banging my head the whole time, and now my neck is sore. It was a crazy fun night with moshpits galore, and good music.
