About

Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

The concert was amazing. Styx played tgeir new music as well as original songs. They rocked the house.

  • Awesome

Can’t believe I was on the Large TV screen had a great time even though I didn’t get to sit with my friends I was in the wheelchair section 105 and they were in section 102 oh well still had a great time

  • Excellent but TOO LOUD

by Tuk on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 3 out of 5

Styx is an amazing band (though Kevin Cronin was my favorite that night and always has been since my U. of I. days). The problem is that all three bands were so loud that there was too much distortion. You can't hear all of the nuances of the songs. Two weeks ago, we heard Cheap Trick and Rod Stewart. Cheap Trick had the same problem--they were too loud and their songs sounded distorted. They all need Rod Stewart's sound man! We were able to take out our ear plugs and hear all of the instruments and the words. Styx's vocals are usually exquisite but they were too hard to distinguish--it's time to turn down some of those amps.

  • Best concert ever!

by Daryl H on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Styx was fabulous! And I didn't expect such great warmups- lead singers from Eagles and REO! And everything just flowed, no interminable waits between sets. Our seats were good, plenty of vendors. Really great event. Kudos to the organizers and artists.

  • Styx = Awesome, Felder = Awesome, Cronin=Not So Awesome

by Nick on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 4 out of 5

Don Felder was a terrific open with a lot of energy and fantastic music. However, the Kevin Cronin Band left me bored and waiting for Styx. Not the best music by the Cronin band. If you survived the looong wait for Styx, they did not disappoint. Love, love, love Styx!!

  • Styxworld 2026.

From Grand Illusion to Renegade, every song was amazing. Can't wait to see Styx again.

  • Fantastic show!

    by fs20 on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not a big Eagles fan, but Don Felder rocked. The Kevin Cronin Band was great. Played the Hi Infidelity album and some REO Speedwagon hits. Kevin Cronin sounded great. Styx was awesome! Played the entire Grand Illusion album plus a bunch of hits. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if Styx played anything from their Equinox album. But there are no hits on that one so I understand. Awesome nonetheless.

  • A fun throwback concert. Worth the trip!

by Geo on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 4 out of 5

When I heard about The Brotherhood of Rock Tour (Don Felder, Kevin Cronin & Styx), I wasn't sure if I wanted to go, since I've seen everyone, except Felder (once), several times. They never disappoint. The electricity seemed to elevate after Styx took the stage. They tore through the Grand Illusion album and played eight more songs, including a new one. The other two artists were great, too. I'm glad I went. Go see this tour, if you're able.

  • Felder/Cronin/Styx

by Hy on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

The great classics all played very well-Live as music should be. There were no tracks and the show was great. Never know how long these bands will be around.

  • The Always Deliver - Superb

    by Addicks10 on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

The Amphitheater at Tinley Park is a superb venue. Easy access and free parking. Styx delivered their usual awesome standard of show. The vocals, the music and the visuals were all mind blowing. On the show Don Felder delivered a superb set. The Kevin Cronin Band (REO Speedwagon), delivered a great set, however at times the music drowned out Kevin’s voice. We travelled an 8000 mile round trip and it was 110% worth it.

  • Fantastic

by Ed on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 2nd time I had seen Styx in concert here. Also to see Kevin Kronin & Don Fleder were Fantastic also. Great concert all around again.

  • Absolutely Amazing

Fantastic shows by all 3 bands & fantastic venue!!

  • The Magic of the 70s!

by LG on 8/26/25Hollywood Casino Amphitheater - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Even with a slightly different lineup, these guys are 100% Styx. Terry Gowan is a fantastic showman with an amazing voice, and since I'd never seen Styx in concert, I had no disbelief to overcome.

  • 3 great shows for the price of 1!!!

by StillRockinMark on 8/26/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great concert if you're an aging hippie!!!... I LOVED IT! 3 shows for the price of 1!!! The Don Felder Band (Eagles Guitarist), The Kevin Cronin Band (Lead Singer of REO), and the current Styx lineup put on a exquisite 3 1/2-hour performance on a perfect night in Tinley Park. Don Felder took the stage at 7pm and ripped through some of the finest Eagles tunes ever written... backed up by 3 outstanding studio musicians and vocalists. The sound mix was clean and powerful. Stage lighting and visuals complimented the material. A 5-star performance... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kevin Cronin and his current band (Lead guitarist from REO, and several multi-talented studio and backup musicians) took the stage at 8pm (after a blazing 15-minute stage setup) and proceeded to perform the entire High Infidelity album in its entirety in the original playing order. The sound mix was perfect... it sounded like a vinyl LP played on the best Audiophile HiFi gear. They then proceeded to play many other REO hits. Kudos to the stage lighting and visuals. Kevin is 71 years of age... but his voice was unwavering, and his energy was impressive! A 4 1/2-star performance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Finally, Styx took the stage at 9:30pm (again, only 15 minutes for stage setup). Styx played the Grand Illusion album in its entirety... in the original order. The line-up is new... Tommy Shaw, James Young, and Chuck Panozzo from the original Styx lineup, Todd Sucherman Drums and Percussion, Lawrence Gowan Keyboards and Vocals, Will Evankovich Guitars, Terry Gowan Bass Guitar. It was fantastic to hear these classic tunes played live again, but the sound mix at times was "muddy"... perhaps the sound guys preferring shear volume (cranking it over 11) to a solid cleaner mix. After Grand Illusion, Styx clicked off a string of their greatest hits... all crowd pleasers... from most of their discography. Stage setup, lighting and visuals were stunning. They played for 1 1/2 hours!!! Because of the sub-par sound mix, I have to give them 4-Stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I attended the Don Felder, Kevin Cronin, and Styx concert last weekend at it was incredible night of rock n roll! All three bands were exceptional and Styx really showed why they were headlining! I strongly recommend seeing these bands!

  • They were amazing!

Great venue! Really enjoyed the concert, all the concerts at this venue are great! The food trucks they have are amazing with a wide variety to choose from.

  • Outdoor Concert

by Rock&Roll on 8/26/25Hollywood Casino Amphitheater - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Styx / Kevin Cronin and Don Felder were fantastic! I always get lawn seats with a chair. thought we would sit up and back this time and the sound was really good. Weather was perfect. Prices are skyrocketing out of control for drinks. I do like some of the seating changes in the lawn area but again, at a big cost. need to lower price some and I think you will have more participation.

  • Loved it AWESOME show
