Styx have endured for over five decades while staying true to their progressive rock sound and theatrical live show. Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1972, Styx have sold over 54 million records worldwide between 17 studio albums, 16 compilations and nine live recordings. Notably, the band released four consecutive RIAA-certified multi-platinum albums between 1977’s The Grand Illusion, 1978’s Pieces of Eight, 1979’s Cornerstone and 1981’s Paradise Theatre, the last of which became their first to top the Billboard 200. Across their career, Styx earned eight Top 10 singles on the Hot 100, including the chart-topping “Babe” as well as “Come Sail Away” “Mr. Roboto” and their 1990 comeback single “Show Me the Way.” Despite several hiatuses and lineup changes, Styx have become one of rock’s most consistent touring acts, hosting nearly 100 live shows every year for over two decades and netting career-best earnings on massive co-headlining tours with REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Def Leppard. In 2021, Styx released their seventeenth studio album, Crash of the Crown.

Simply awesome, Loverboy was amazing but Styx, they simply killed it,
Styx was one of the best concerts that I have been to, they did an awesome concert, will definitely see them again.❤️❤️❤️
Fan-friggin-tastic, Unforgettable, Such Energy! Love Our Guys! Got to see Crystal Ball & Michigan! In my Element! 🔮💚
Fantastic show!!! The ease of getting tickets, parking validation, entering the BMO Center, comfortable seats to see 2 fantastic bands was just WOW!!!! Styx puts on an amazing show. Great experience.
Missed the show they did at my high school in the 70's. Saw them now twice this year. Made me a fan. I'll probably see them a few more times soon.
Fantastic!!!! Best birthday of my life!!!! Event Staff were great. Styx was the BEST OF THE BEST!!!!
Styx was fabulous, sounded great (although a bit loud), loverboy opened for them and were great too.
Styx never lets you down. A nice blend of hits and new music leave you wanting more. Sounded great. Visually amazing. If there was one thing negative I felt they could have played at least another 30 minutes. So many hits. So little time.
The energy and special effects mixed with their unbelievable musical talents made the knight so special.
Styx and Loverboy sounded amazing and just like they did when I listened to them in high school and college! Highly recommend!
My daughter and I had up close tickets at the BMO Center in Rockford Illinois. Tommy Shaw threw a guitar pick which my daughter was able to retrieve. The night and the music were amazing. The second show that we have seen this year. Such an amazing band and night. Can't wait to see them again. Would love to do a meet and greet for my daughter Tommy Shaw is her favorite.
The show itself was out of this world!!! The only problem was that we missed most of Loverboy due to “our seats were missing”. They made me walk all the way out to the ticket booth and back to our seats, which were in the second row, and didn’t really do anything except annoy me. Because when we got back, our seats “magically” appeared. My friend of 40 years, had to stand and wait by herself the whole time while this is happening. They didn’t even apologize about this. The bright spot was sitting right in front of Tommy Shaw and seeing him and the band paying respect to their biggest fan who was maybe 9-12 years old. This kid was singing along to every song!!! That totally made my whole night!!!!
Styx was one of the best concerts I have been to. I go to a ton of concerts and they knocked it out of the park. Would 100% see them again.
Mankato civic center is an awesome venue! All seats are good seats! The sound was incredible! STYX always brings their best! Loved the play list! At least 1 song from each album! I have seen STYX perform about 10 times. Most in Mankato and I will go again god willing! Simply the best❣️💗
One of the best concerts I've been to. 👍👍👍 Styx was awesome! Sounded great and awesome background screens. Love this venue since it is not extremely huge like some. Drinks and restrooms were easily accessible also. Very happy that I was able to go and enjoy this awesome group!
Fortunate to have a Row 2 seat and Tommy tossed a guitar pick to my wife that made her night!
The show, the music, the performance was flawless. The Band has never sounded better! Awesome evening with old friends!
Not a great set list. I have seen them before with a better set list and they were great. This time there was no momentum or flow with their hit songs mixed in with others songs that seemed to kill the energy.
Concert was excellent, Venue, not so much. First off the concert is going down in the top 3 of all time! I was never a really big fan of Styx, I went to see Loverboy. Loverboy was good but Styx blew me away! The sound of the Styx concert was the best mixed and best sounding concert I've seen! I was so impressed. It was really loud but clear and you felt the music. It moved me! I still get goose bumps thinking about it! Loverboy was good but I wish the sound tech could have made Loverboy sound like Styx did. I miss Dennis but their new singer is just as good. Tommy Shaw has still got it! I got the bumps again typing this! The background screen that played really added to the show. I can't say enough good about it. I would love to see them again. If you get a chance to see them, go! You won't be disappointed. Now the venue. It was a cashless venue and I didn't know that going. Shame on me. I'm not one to carry a credit card to concerts. I'm a cash man so it was rough. I don't think I'll ever go back to the Alerus in my lifetime. I was that disappointed. $15 to park a car is absolutely ridiculous to me as well. I need to get out of the house more often I guess.
