  • It was a great time!

by Syd on 4/2/23Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Steven Curtis Chapman concert! Venue was wonderful and safe. We enjoyed the music and meeting some of the guys in the band. Sadly, didn’t get to meet The Man Steven himself, but we still enjoyed!!

  • Intimate Performance

by Gabe on 3/20/23Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Steven back in 2018 at a similar sized venue. I have seen a few concerts by other artists over the past couple of years. This concert was very intimate. I was in the front of the balcony, but being a smaller venue, felt like I was right on the state. He still has the vocal chops and his guitar playing was as good as ever. His backup musicians were young up-and-comers, but high quality. It may be the best concert I have ever seen. And, he made it personal to everyone in the room. I would recommend anyone, Christian or not, to see Steven.

  • INCREDIBLE Concert For "Everybody!"

by Tony on 3/20/23Pantages Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Such a solid night of music, from quick slices of old favorites to new tunes that are worthy of new attention. The staging and presentation is professional and minimalistic, combining the best of well-seasoned musicians playing together being more than enough, along with some strategic use of video on small screens. The lighting was also perfect - illuminating without blinding. For my wife and I, it was a walk down memory lane in our own lives from an incredible artist!

Awesome show! A legend in gospel music. The guitar playing was over the top. Great venue. Mac Powell was greatI only had one complaint… needed to be louder, but I was seated near the back. But it was amazing.

  • Great concert/bad communications about entry to the venue

    by J. H. on 3/12/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 5 out of 5

As always Steven Curtis Chapman gives a great performance. The solo performance was by far one of the most personal performances I have ever attended. Steve, his guitar and the audience. Overall great night. The only bad spot for the night was that an ID for the person purchasing the tickets was required to enter as a VIP, but after reviewing all communications regarding the event I could find nothing saying an ID would be required for entry. People in front of me had purchased their VIP seats from another party, but could not enter as a VIP because the person who purchased the tickets wasn't with them. Pretty ridiculous not to clearly provide notification of the requirement in follow up communications. Way too many in line surprised by the requirement. Found out after entering the doors and had to run a 1/2 mile to the car to get my ID to get in for tickets that were clearly VIP tickets.

  • SCC Solo Tour

by Jody on 3/11/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 5 out of 5

Steven was wonderful. We had great seats and felt like we were very important to him as fans. This was a sister event and it was so wonderful to share this amazing artist with my sister who is not a HUGE Christian music fan, unlike myself. She was so impressed with the message and the personal stories Steven shared. We enjoyed ourselves so much. I would recommend this SCC Solo concert to anyone. It has so much more than just Christian music....humor, life stories and how to find comfort in asking.

  • Great show

    by L. K. on 3/11/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 4 out of 5

Only part I didn’t care for was the asking for$ By guilting and putting on the spot. Yes there is need. But there is a different way to do it.

  • Steven was great-the rest?

by Colorado KRW on 3/11/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed Steven telling his life story; songs were good even though I did not know them, until we sang Great Is Thy Faithfulness together. Then Steven took a break to rest his voice. The traveling pastor took the stage and talked about the children and their sponsorship. This went on TOO long. Steven returned to the stage at 9:25 pm. The venue ad said the show would go from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. I hired a caregiver for my husband so I could go to this show. Based on the ad, her shift was to end at 10:00 giving time for an encore and giving me time to get home. I knew Steven was not going to sing for 5 minutes and be done so I had to leave basically as he was starting his second "half." At that point, I was disappointed. This is my first concert at the Avalon Theater so I only had the ad by which to go. Lesson learned for me; I will have to extend caregiver coverage for any future concerts.

I loved this concert!! I had never seen him in person & it was blown away with his talent and his message. I enjoyed his life story and I remember crying a few times!! My sister-in-law was motivated to sponsor a boy during the concert too!! All around great experience for us.

  • Outstanding Performance

by DadSMF on 3/11/20Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great, SCC sharing his musical memories, and his family, with us was awesome. Only negative, wish there had been more time to chat with him during the Meet and Greet, or at least allow him to sign autographs.
