    Richly Blessed

by Steve & Debby on 12/13/23Brown County Music Center - Nashville

The venue was great and easy to get to, but the concert by Steven Curtis Chapman was incredible! We knew it would be good, but he exceeded our expectations. Knowing about his life’s story and his strong faith, we were looking forward to hearing and seeing for the first time in about 30 years, it was something we were really looking forward to. The singing was outstanding, but may have been surpassed when he spoke to everyone. It felt as if we were in his closest circle of friends, drawing us in as he shared his faith and talked about the efforts to raise awareness, and funds, to help people with adoption. It was a night that we will remember for many years to come. As mentioned above, we were richly blessed!

    GOOD TIME

by preachercliff on 12/13/23Brown County Music Center - Nashville

We had an enjoyable evening listening to some great music from Steven Curtis Chapman. He had a great presentation, maybe a little less talking and more music would be appreciated. The venue (Brown County Music Center) seemed a bit on the expensive side. Parking $10 to park in gravel parking lot and $20 to park on paved parking lot. Concessions were pricy. Needed more room between the rolls of seats. When getting in or out, everyone had to be bothered to stand up to get by. I would go again. Not a bad seat in the house, I had never been there before. I would recommend a seat further back and save money but to each their own.

    Somewhat Lacking

by JES on 12/13/23Brown County Music Center - Nashville

The highlight was the two bluegrass songs. Otherwise fairly disappointing, highly Christmas-themed and lacking all time hits. During the mid-show break spent time asking for donations to his personal cause. NOT my idea of something to do considering the price of the tickets, travel expenses, etc.

    Incredible night

by Rob J on 12/12/23Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

SCC has been a part of my journey since the 80’s. We are the same age and I know what the years have changed in me. It’s amazing to me that he sounds about the same as he did over 30 years ago. His voice is amazing and his message is always so much more. He has blessed us with his talent and we never miss an opportunity to see him. The evening was amazing.

    Too much talkinh

by Meesh on 12/12/23Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

He is a talented singer and songwriter but have never been to a concert where the performer spent this much time talking, in between songs and to fundraise. While his charity is admirable and could have been mentioned, spending 20min talking and showing a video to his captive audience who paid to hear him sing was inappropriate. Would not go to another of his concerts.

Enjoyed Steven Curtis Chapman and his Christmas concert very much. A great talent who had the entire audience singing along. A great Christian talent!

    Didn’t really enjoy it

by Jack on 12/4/23City Hall Live - Brandon

I totally respect Steven Curtis Jackson. However I didn’t recognize one song that he performed. I thought his background music drowned out his voice. Songs from the piano sounded better. Maybe it was the room. But he had a robust crowd and the venu was just about full. Maybe I’m just old and cranky but it takes a lot to entertain me these days.

    Awesome night

by Mel on 12/4/23City Hall Live - Brandon

This was my first event to attend at the City Hall there in Brandon. The venue had easy access and plenty of room inside. I thought the prices for the concessions were a bit pricey for any venue. Cases of water are cheap these days and one bottle shouldn't cost more than $1.50 or $2.00. Sodas the same way. I was glad we got there early because when we were leaving we saw people parked all over the place across the street etc so I'm glad we got there in the parking lot of the venue or we wouldn't have known where to park. I never saw anybody directing traffic or parking that might be a need. We were able to get out real easy though that was a plus and I was concerned about. The show itself was awesome definitely need to get more contemporary Christian artist and special shows there. Thank you.

Speakers on stage right were terrible! Steven was wonderful but couldn’t enjoy the concert because of the poor sound quality!

    OVERWHELMING 🙌

by Janice on 12/3/23City Hall Live - Brandon

My experience was overwhelming. I laughed, worshipped and cried. I was amazed at the talents God has blessed these musicians with. I've listened to Stephen's music throughout the years and received a blessing from the accompaniment but encouraged by the messages of each song. His heart was wide open in Brandon as he shared some humor in the first few songs which led to lyrics of deeper truths of our great God. The videos of his childhood brought back so many memories. Sharing about his daughter's Christmas stocking being hung every year brought tears as I just "celebrated "my son's 26th year with Jesus. It was also my 74th birthday and it was a birthday I'll never forget.

    Disappointed

by Not worth it on 12/3/23City Hall Live - Brandon

The seats weren’t exactly as the map pictured it. Weird angle, hard to see. Steven spent a good 45 minutes talking instead of singing. 2nd half of show was better but disappointing for sure.

    Outstanding concert

by Glenn on 12/3/23City Hall Live - Brandon

Lots of favorite SCC Christmas songs and some his other all time favorites like Saddle Up Your Horses. Some even included new lyrics with snowmen, reindeer and Santa’s sleigh. Three great instrumentalists backup playing keyboard / guitars / mandolin / bass fiddle / cello and banjo. Lots of fun listening and singing along with familiar songs. An evening to remember. Would go again tomorrow if I had the chance.

    Great night

by Godseeker on 11/24/23Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater - St Petersburg

Steven never fails to entertain and encourage his audience. He not only played new songs with an insight into the meaning behind the songs, he also played the older more familiar songs we all love. He makes you feel like family. And we are God's family.

    Wonderful Nostalgic Evening

    by de2425 on 8/30/23

Few artists have as many #1's as Steven Curtis Chapman. This evening was a wonderfully simple reminiscence of his career. So many songs that mean so much for one reason or another. It was a great evening. I highly recommend seeing him if you have the opportunity.

    Wonderful Evening

    by Frances Murphy on 8/29/23

The Steven Curtis Chapman concert was exceptionally great! I enjoyed every song and the guitarsmanship from SCC and Mr. James was outstanding. Fast -moving and full of excellent content, the show was well worth the ticket price. The theatre experience was smooth and problem-free. What a pleasure to have live shows in our area that bring joy and encouragement!!

    music was great

    by smodogs on 8/29/23

The talent of Steven and his opener is undeniable. The music and songs were great. We had a wonderful evening. If I had one complaint it would be the amount of time spent promoting his wife's charity, Show Hope. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing charity and obviously, they do great work and it's very dear to their hearts but the amount of time that was spent talking about it almost felt like being trapped in a time share presentation. Other than that, I would recommend his concert to anyone who enjoys this genre of music.
