  • Christmas worship

by DB12345 on 11/28/17Robinson Performance Hall - Little RockRating: 4 out of 5

Good concert with variety & good talent. Would like to have had more of Steven Curtis Chapman & less of the 4 opening artists/groups. Concert started at 7; he didn't play until 9:15. Nonetheless, worth seeing. Take ear plugs - bass & drums very loud in opening groups.

  • Concert was great.

by IrritatedDad on 11/28/17Robinson Performance Hall - Little RockRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was great. Chose my seats based on being close to the stage, didn't realize there were going to be giant speakers about 6ft from my face. Not quite deaf when I left but close. I will choose better seats next time. Would have been nice to have known about speaker location when choosing seats.

  • Terrbile sound

by mevman on 11/28/17Robinson Performance Hall - Little RockRating: 3 out of 5

Don't know who runs the sound board but it was awful. Unnatural bass made listening to the performers unnerving. I expected Mr. Chapman to play at least one of his past hits...but that didn't happen.

  • Unique musical venue with an incredible performer

Amazing intimate setting with impactful stories that provide a musical journey through his life and how God was there ever step of the way.

Thought he was great and enjoyed hearing his story.

  • SCC Solo - Fabulous Blessing - A Great Experience

by FanOfSCC on 10/17/17Reardon Auditorium - AndersonRating: 5 out of 5

I have a been a SCC fan since 1991 and I had seen him in concert probably five times. By far the two best experiences were at Anderson University (Reardon). I last saw SCC here over 20 years ago. I was delighted that he involved his wife Mary Beth and shared their experiences at Anderson. I left feeling more connected. He comes across as a totally authentic person that loves Jesus Christ. It was a heartwarming gift and a fantastic blessing. I truly enjoyed experiencing SCC Solo at Reardon.

  • Excellent Performance - Tried and True Musician

by dshcook on 10/17/17Reardon Auditorium - AndersonRating: 5 out of 5

The SCCSOLO event was excellent. Chapman was at his finest as a Christian Performer, songwriter, singer, and storyteller. The concert was entertaining, intimate while also displaying the greatness of our God, His steadfast grace, and love in both good times and bad and His enduring faithfulness. As a Worship leader and musician-songwriter myself, I was extremely impressed at his ability to maintain composure and excellence even during the start of the show when his guitar suffered from some tuning issues. He completely controlled the situation adding humor and worked his way through it in a professional and competent manner. The performance runs a little over two hours and traverses several songs from several albums. Absolute glee!

  • Concert format needs changes

by Musicmac on 4/5/17Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 2 out of 5

We were disappointed in the format of the concert. Would like to see fewer groups and have them play longer. Jordan Feliz was unexpected as the first act and we missed seeing him. FF5 played after him, he should have been after them. Francesca Battistelli only did 3 or 4 songs, would have liked more than 20 minutes for her. If it's done in a similar manner next year, we probably will not attend.

  • Great Show - Unfortunate Ticket Price

by iamamabram on 4/5/17Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

The show was excellent. Nothing to complain about. Some sound tech issues that the untrained ear probably didn't notice. Hard to hear vocals at times. The problem was the venue. This was a rock and worship roadshow tour stop where ticket prices are normally very low but because this was at Royal Farms Arena (aka First Mariner aka Baltimore Arena aka who knows what next month) prices were way high. Those prices meant that the crowd was nowhere near sold out. Those prices are fine when TobyMac or Lecrae are the headliner. No disrespect to Steven Curtis Chapman but most people aren't going to pay that much to see him. I honestly went for Rend Collective and Family Force 5. Prices were high and they had to take a collection to fuel up the uses so that tells everyone what those of us with experience at this venue know MOST of the ticket price went to the arena/city and not to the tour. Had this been at APG with more reasonable prices it would have sold out.

  • DCC & Francesca Awesome and Rend

by Mfiore on 4/5/17Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 3 out of 5

The known artists where amazing, but short sets, and last night of a tour, they seemed DONE

  • Shinegright was BRILLIANT

by JohnF11 on 4/5/17Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Every group was great! Sound, unlike just a few years ago, was tailored to each band and the sound was great. . We were on the floor so the bass was a little overwhelming. However many of the artists went through the crowd as they sang, Carlos Whittaker was the host and he was his usual awesome self. Rand Collective, Jordon Feliz and Stephen C Chapman all used the mid floor podiums to entertain and it made a large auditorium a more personal concert for all. Each artist made a personal connection with the audience.

  • Bought as Gift for Wife, Now a Fan Myself!

by SanFranSam on 10/13/16The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El PasoRating: 4 out of 5

Not necessarily a fan of Steven Curtis Chapman, Mac Powell and Brandon Heath. Though I'm a huge music enthusiast, Christian music is way down -- actually, not even on -- my list of favorite genres. My wife, however, is a huge Christian Music fan. So, I got the tickets for her as a birthday gift and went along pretty much to see what all the fuss was about. And... I ended up being extremely impressed! All three are first class songwriters, musicians, vocalists and, well, human beings. Marveled at their talent, but enjoyed their chemistry as much as anything... Tour is exactly as advertised: plenty of wonderful songs, many of which were accompanied by fascinating stories. Highly recommend this concert! Only drawback, in my humble opinion, is the lengthy "commercial" for Chapman's foundation. But, if you're a fan of his already, then you likely already appreciate his work in both creating music and advocating adoption...

  • Amazing !! Steven Mac n Brandon were great !

  • These guys were wonderful!!

by Elpasolady on 10/12/16The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El PasoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved this show so much. Third row seats helped a lot as we were up close and personal. Music was terrific and their three part harmonies were spot on. It was funny, touching and inspirational and we worshiped. Steven, Mac and Brandon were a delight and each are very warm, Godly men. I would go back again if it came back to El Paso!

  • boring

by breveles on 10/12/16The Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center - El PasoRating: 1 out of 5

songs and stories was boring. being a good songwriter does not make you a good storyteller. it was evident in their presentation. we never got rolling in worship due to their talking which was less than engaging...... of well, we can't always hit a home run. God is still good, all the time
