Gregg Allman & Steve Miller Band

by nage1719 on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Gregg Allman's vocals were weak, but the musicians were exceptional. Steve Miller remains an accomplished showman with strong vocals, great guitar skills and the ability to relate to the audience. Overall a great show.

1/2 A LOAF IS BETTER THAN NONE

by MAAHT on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

I WAS EXTREMELY UNDERWHELMED BY GREGG. I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO TWO OF MY FAVORITES ON ONE STAGE AND SECRETLY HOPED THEY WOULD PERFORM SOME SONGS TOGETHER. GRANTED GREGG WAS SPORTING A FRESH LIVER AND ALL BUT HIS SHOW SEEMED DULL AND LACK LUSTER. HE WAS NOT THE MOST TALENTED PERFORMER IN HIS BAND ANYMORE. HE DID A FEW GOOD OLD ALLMAN BROS. NUMBERS INCLUDING DREAMS, WHIPPING POST AND MELISSA. TOTALLY BUMMED HE DIDN'T DO MY FAVORITE GREGG SOLO...I'M NO ANGEL, MY 80'S ANTHEM. HE DID SEVERAL NEW NUMBERS THAT WERE OK. I WASN'T DISSAPOINTED, JUST NOT OVERJOYED. NOW STEVE MILLER ON THE OTHER HAND ROCKED. HE LOOKED LIKE THE CHARLES BRONSON OF ROCK N' ROLL. HE STARTED OUT WITH A HIT AND FOLLOWED IT UP, ONE AFTER THE OTHER. I WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED WITH THE ONE GENTLEMAN ON STAGE WITHOUT AN INSTRUMENT BUT HE TURNED OUT TO BE A PLEASANT SURPRISE SINGING 3 OR 4 BLUES NUMBERS TREMENDOUSLY. STEVE PLAYED LONG INTO THE NIGHT AND SAVED HIS BEST NUMBERS FOR LAST. I WOULD GO SEE STEVE'S SHOW AGAIN TOMORROW.

    Steve Miller rocked it!

by cary961005 on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Steve Miller has still got if after all these years! But, Gregg Allman left alot to be desired. Could be because I was never an Allman fan, but Steve came on and made the ticket price worth it!

    Steve Miller-Gregg Allman

by EdFayetteville on 4/21/11Koka booth - Cary

First time seeing Steve Miler-GREAT SHOW. Well rehearsed and well executed. Great song list all very well played. Sound was superb. Venue was small enough to have great view from all over. Gregg Allman was in good form and had a very good band backing him. Did a very nice version of Melissa. Best show I've seen in a while!

    Steve Miller disappointing

by SimonCowell on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Mostly Steve playing long drawn out guitar solos with his sideman backing vocalist handling the majority of lead vocals performing newer material and obscure songs from the past. It was almost like the sideman was the star and Miller was just the guitarist. I came to hear the hits, the classics and this show did not deliver. I left before the encore because it was close to midnight on a Tuesday and I was tired of waiting for a song I actually came to hear. I understand that he did play a few popular songs at the end well after midnight. Thanks to Gregg Allman for opening the show and actually playing his hit songs.

Excellent all around, great music & performances

by Mike239487 on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Both sets were excellent, I liked every single song. Excellent performance, it's amazing that Allman and Miller can still perform so well in their sixties -- especially Miller, he's playing and singing at the top of his game. Do not miss this concert, you may never get to hear them live or this good again! Great music. Great concert. If it were in town again tonight I'd go again. Also, the sound levels were perfect, it had impact but didn't hurt the ears. These guys have been doing concerts for so many decades, they know how to get the show right.

    Simply Fantastic

by lcdrldol on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

What a great surprise it was to finally see The Steve Miller Band. All of their numbers were tens. In addition to Steve's masterful guitar playing, the drummer and keyboard man were top shelf as well. We had a great time, rocking out and remembering.

    One is enough

by classicrockfreak on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Steve Miller was outstanding. His show alone was worth the price of admission. He gave a great performance. Allman, on the other hand, was disappointing at best- we actually almost left. Forgot the words to songs, was impossible to understand when he sang, played the wrong intro to one song, and left the stage inexplicably at one point for ten minutes. Looks like the hard life has taken its toll.

    WOW!!

by KelleyGibson on 4/21/11North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Gregg Allman was really good. The music was wonderful. Really enjoyed it. Steve Miller was absolutely phenomenal! His voice and his guitar prowess have not dimmed one bit in the 44 years he's been performing!

Would've like more Greg Allman. The people who sat behind us were incredibly rude and talked all thru the Allman show and took obnoxious to a whole new level.

Again Awsome show-----I have to add this, Some crazy woman tried to pull Steve Miller off the stage, so if you are sitting on the first roll and Steve Miller or Gregg Allman reach out to shake your hand DON'T try and pull them off the stage

    NEVER DISAPPOINTED

by TAKETHEMONEYANDRUN on 2/9/11HUNTINGTON CENTER - TOLEDO

I HAVE SEEN STEVE MILLER AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN THE AREA. FROM A LARGE OPEN AIR VENUE LIKE DTE TO THE SMALL COZY MICHIGAN THEATRE TO SAVAGE HALL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO OR THE TOLEDO ZOO. STEVE NEVER DISAPPOINTS. HE HAS SO MANY SONGS THAT THE HITS KEEPS FLOWING ONE AFTER ANOTHER. ADD GREG ALLMAN AND WHAT A SHOW. I WILL DEFINETLY BE THERE
