  • Reverb and distortion overload

    by BS135 on 10/28/25Toyota Center Kennewick - KennewickRating: 2 out of 5

My guests and I were really looking forward to hearing SWJr as we have heard him on recordings. He has a unique guitar style and voice that I love. Unfortunately, the distortion and reverberation were up so high that we couldn’t hear his guitar through the sustained and distorted notes. His vocals were too quiet compared to the rest of the band. At many points we had to put our fingers in our ears because of how harmful the loud noise was. The artist is great and we just wish we could have heard him more than we did. There were many people that left the concert early and we couldn’t even stand to stay for his encore - I’d venture to say at least 100 people left immediately after his “last” song and many more throughout the concert. Scale back the distortion and reverb Stephen!

  • Great performance but not long enough…

    by MagicMedic72 on 10/2/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw SWJr at Hershey Park when he toured with Hardy. He played maybe 4 songs. It was beyond disappointing. He was the only reason we bought the tickets to begin with. His performance was everything (and then some) that we had hoped for and expected, however! Will absolutely see him as often as possible!

  • Everyone Needs to see Stephen Wilson Jr

by Localman from Out of Town on 9/2/25Bernie's Beach Bar - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Stephen Wilson Jr was the best show I've seen in a long time! We travelled all the way from New Brunswick, Canada to see him! 5 hours of driving and it was worth every minute! As a bonus, we had Lunch at Bernies Beach Bar and watched him do sound-check before the show. He came out with Mighty Beast and kept the vibe going for the rest of the show! Pure singer, songwriter and entertainer! His songs and words really hit home for me....can't wait to see him play again!

  • SWJ was GREAT...venue...not so much

by Pete on 9/1/25Bernie's Beach Bar - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Stephen Wilson Jr put on a GREAT show. It would have been better if it was at a GREAT venue like MGM at Fenway. Bernies was WAY too crowded...barley any room to stand....stage was too low....could hardly see the performers even for me (6 feet tall). BUT STEPHEN WAS GREAT!!!

  • Stephen Wilson Jr: a must see

by EB317 on 8/31/25Bernie's Beach Bar - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Stephen Wilson Jr and band: A++ (epic musician and songwriter) The venue: B (sound way to loud for such a small venue but perfect place to see SWJ)

  • Great Show!

by Steve on 8/31/25Bernie's Beach Bar - Hampton BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Overall a great show. A little overpowering on the drums… drowned out Wilson’s voice and guitar prowess much of the evening

  • Great show!!!

by The sasquatch on 7/29/25Knitting Factory - Spokane - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time at the SW Jr. show. He impressed in all aspects of the concert. He played his top songs and even through in a Nirvana cover that was awesome. Can’t wait until he comes around again.

  • Phenomenal

The venue was great but I think Stephen Wilson Jr. would be amazing anywhere!! His stage presence is encapsulating!!!

  • Energetic!!

by LAM on 7/24/25Revolution Concert House & Event Center - Garden CityRating: 5 out of 5

SWJR is an energetic, all around showman, who delivers on every level! His band is also awesome, the lighting, his meaningful explanations of the songs he has written, perfection. Look forward to seeing him in Seattle! Thank you SWJR!

  • absolutely amazing

by CA on 7/23/25Revolution Concert House & Event Center - Garden CityRating: 5 out of 5

Stephen was absolutely amazing in the pre show exp - he is the real deal. Concert was absolutely amazing! The venue was perfect but I’m sure he will be headlining big venues in future he is so good!

  • Great show, once it started

by VB on 7/23/25Revolution Concert House & Event Center - Garden CityRating: 3 out of 5

The show itself was great, but the wait between acts was ridiculous. The stage was setup previous to the first act coming out. The instrument tech came out multiple times for tuning, but was done for quite an extended time before the headliner came out to perform. The security staff and event staff were very efficient at getting people in to the venue.

  • GREAT SHOW!!!

    by Makrone90 on 4/15/25Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Stephen Wilson Jr is a must see!!! Highly recommend and would definitely see him perform again. We drove 8.5 hours to see this show and it was well worth it

  • An amazing evening with Stephen Wilson Jr.

by Kevin on 4/14/25Piedmont Hall - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

An amazing evening at a spectacular venue. Only negative I can come up with is possibly open the doors earlier because of the rain storm. Venue could have made more money.

  • Incredible Artist!!

    by Yerac on 3/19/25Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say….Stephen Wilson Jr is one of the most remarkable music artists to come out in years! His music speaks from the heart….whether about loss, hope, love or just fun, he has a way to express these feelings like few performers. His live performance was energetic when needed and laid back at times but either way the audience was with him from the beginning to the end! So glad I saw him at St Andrew’s Hall in Detroit before he breaks out huge. I will not forget this show for a long time.

  • Exceeded already sky high expectations.

by Mark on 3/17/25The Opera House - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! From the venue to the songwriting, band and obviously, Stephen Wilson Jr.'s incredible voice, backstory and stage presence, this was a show I won't forget. Attending with my 20 year old son was the perfect way to see a concert from the floor of this sold out show!! A+++++ Can't wait to see him come back - one of my favourite live shows ever, and I have seen a long list!

  • To crowded

    by Ju on 3/16/25Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

Both artist were fantastic. Too much time before first performer and in between opener and Stephen Wilson jr. They over sold the show, You could not move inside the venue. After going to the bathroom for the first time 3 hrs after arriving my wife and I could not even get past the doorway. Way to crowded

  • His music is so deeply needed in this generation

by Lindsay on 3/11/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Stephen Wilson Jr. isn’t just a singer; he’s a storyteller who carves raw emotion into every note. His music is a haunting blend of grit and grace, marrying the unfiltered honesty of outlaw country with the introspective poetry of indie rock. Listening to him feels like sitting on a porch at dusk, nursing a quiet ache, while his voice—somewhere between a weathered whisper and a desperate wail—pulls you into the depths of his world. There’s something deeply visceral about the way he crafts songs. You don’t just hear his lyrics; you feel them. They cut deep, lingering in your bones long after the last chord fades. His ability to weave pain, nostalgia, and hope into melodies makes his music feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. He sings about love, loss, home, and identity with an authenticity that’s rare in today’s music landscape. Wilson Jr.’s sound is rooted in traditional country storytelling, but it refuses to be confined. He brings in the raw energy of alternative rock, the soulful melancholy of folk, and the weight of lived experience. His guitar work is as expressive as his voice—sometimes delicate and intimate, sometimes jagged and urgent, always carrying the weight of the stories he tells. Artists like him don’t come around often. He’s not here to churn out radio-friendly hits; he’s here to make art—the kind that stays with you, that grows with you. Whether he’s singing about heartbreak, redemption, or the ghosts of the past, he does it with a rare kind of honesty that makes you believe every word. If you haven’t yet immersed yourself in Stephen Wilson Jr.’s music, do yourself a favor—sit down, close your eyes, and listen. Really listen. You’ll find yourself somewhere in his songs, and you won’t leave unchanged.

  • Seeing Stephen Wilson Jr, is a spiritual experience

by Jason Eiler on 3/10/25The Bluestone - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Had a truly phenomenal time at my second Stephen Wilson Jr. Concert in just as many days at The Bluestone in Columbus Ohio on Friday March 7th, 2025. The evening started out in VIP with an intimate acoustic performance by Stephen. He played his song "Kid"followed by a new song titled "this machine"off his upcoming sophomore album. Then there was a very informative Q&A where he answered everyone who was bold enough to ask a question. The opener was the very talented musician Zandi Holup @zandiholup whom was a blend of Joan Baez with a splash of Jewel and the style of Kate Hudson's character from the movie Almost Famous. She warmed the crowd up with such songs as "gas station flowers", "Mary jane", "and her soon to be released single "Dirty Wings". Stephen Wilson Jr. is really in a class of his own blending such genres as grunge, folk and country with the tools of his trade his trusty Takamine c136s's ironically named 1 & 2. Don't forget Steve-V.D. his ever ready robotic android DVD monitor that plays such DVD's that span genres much like his music which include vintage sci-fi, barn owl documentaries and much more. Once Stephen and the band hit the stage it was full steam ahead. The band was firing on all cylinders for the entirety of the show. Julian Dorio resembled a man possessed(in a good way) channeling ANIMAL from the Muppets as well as Squiddly Diddly from old Hannah Barbera cartoons. Perpetuating percussion permutations all whilst adjusting his chaotic Albert Einsteinian mane with style and finesse. Julian truly put on a master class in drumming. Scotty @scottyboymurray Murray's physical appearance resembled a young Gary Oldman from the movie The Scarlet Letter with a much more impressive mustache like Tom Selleck circa Magnum P.I. his skills and prowess on his Fender pedal steel guitar was reminiscent of Junior Brown and Buddy Emmons. Miles Burger @milesburgermusic sent chills up the audiences collective spines with his ethereal bass notes coming with each slide of his bow across the strings of his upright bass's strings. He is also extremely talented on the harmonica and electric bass. This show had a lot of heart and soul, Stephen and the band really shined at the Bluestone literally taking us to church. Musically preaching his sermon to all of his devote followers in attendance all while evoking emotions spanning from sorrow to joy.
