Part of the beauty of a Tchaikovsky ballet is the music which unfortunately is not part of this performance. There is really no reason to watch a life performance without the orchestra. The stage was too small causing the ballet dancers to often almost run into each other or not complete some of the moves. In addition, the venue allowed food during the performance and the constant sound or food wrappers and chewing all around took away even more from the performance.

From curtain call, to finale. a beautiful production. A wonderful presentation of Disney’s Classic. Very disciplined group, a joy to watch and enjoy… Highly recommend for all ages.
This show was beautifully performed by a talented group of dancers!! I was in awe of their athleticism and gracefulness. Bravo!!
The ballet was very nice, however there was no program so was difficult to follow along and will have to pay more attention to the source of the tickets, though purchased from venue site, prices were far higher than usual for performances at this location and couple one row down paid 70 to our 200+ ticket price (all center mezzanine)
Pop corn, plastic candy wrappers, and open plastic glasses of wine in the theater?! At the ballet?!?! Gotta be kidding me!! Boooo to FM Kirby as a venue allowing this Americanization !!!! Cheap and tacky, experience definitely not worth the ticket price. I felt embarrassed for the dancers.
I go to the ballet regularly. This one was a wonderful performance. I caught myself holding my breath more then once. Professional ballet is a real treat. Thank you
This is my second time seeing the State Ballet of Ukraine, and they've been amazing both times. The costuming, the dancing, and the characterization were all gorgeously impressive. Would definitely see again!
My mother and I went together for our birthdays. We loved the performance. The beauty of the Coronado Theater is an unforgettable venue. Very disappointed there were no programs to highlight the dancers or explain the story.
My Daughter and I went to see this for her birthday. It was such a beautiful ballet. We had a great time and the Coronado theater is beautiful as well. It’s architecture is stunning.
It was beautifully done and you could tell the strength and dedication of the dancers- Bravo!! It was my 1st ballet (for my 9yo daughter as well). I think I'm just more of a musical type. There almost needs to be a MC or a program to help explain the scenes, coordinate the breaks and provide a momento for the experience.
The Coronado was the perfect venue for this ballet. The dancers were amazing!
The Sleeping Beauty ballet was nice in a traditional ballet sense. The acts are set up that there are 3 acts, roughly 30 min, with an intermission in between. However, there weren’t any programs not announcements, so it was a little confusing as to what was going on or what was going to happen next. Also, at the end of Sleeping Beauty it then switched to there being a duo of multiple Disney characters dancing as either a duet, a solo, and sometimes both. And while these were good acts, there was no connection between this and Sleeping Beauty which made it a little odd. Would I see this again? No. But for the price of the tickets, it was a nice show.
My niece and I both loved the performance. It was our first ballet so we were not sure what to expect. The costumes were magnificent. The talent the dancers displayed was just breathtaking. It was an absolute beautiful ballet. I highly recommend everyone to see it.
Left at the intermission. We couldn’t figure out the storyline.
There are several professional ballerinas and dancers in the team. The main fairy was the best in every way. Prince took the second place, Sleeping Beauty - the third one. The main problem for dancers was very limited scene space. Unfortunately spectators didn't get any information about performers something like playbill. It were very attachable moments when little, sometimes very little students of Bergen PAC school took part in performance. In general my wife and me got grand pleasure.
This was the worst show ive seen. I didnt expect top ballet artist considering the price, but i was shocked by choices made by the director replacing dancing with glorified walking and having the same few moves repeat over and over again. The creative choices if changing the storyline were also bazarre. But the worst part was bringing those kids. Obviously i didnt expect kids to be professional dancers, but what us the point of bringing them on stage when they cannot even hear the music or synchronize. Obviously this was done to “kill the time” and bring public’s sympathetic “oohs” and “awes”. Overall a terrible take on a famous ballet and poor representation of what ballet is in general. Third of the audience walked out the first chance they could.
If you have the chance to see the State Ballet Theater of Ukraine while they are in tour in the states - GO! It was a beautiful show - the ballerinas were amazing and the story, a classic.
Beyond awesome!!! The dancers blew the roof off of the Hershey Theatre!!! Great seats, great prices. If your even considering going, don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed, the experience will exceed your expectations. Great for kids and family. It’s a hidden jewel. Flawless corp de ballet and soloist. Principles are absolutely breathtaking. Stage set is super cool. Costumes are stunning. Very fun evening for all. Highly recommended.
